Cool place, with so many old school games. Dropped in for a quick cocktail with a friend. Bartender was attentive and pleasant, bar was clean. I had the wrong way, minus the pineapple juice ( should have had it) needed the sweetness to balance. I want to go back and play some games Restrooms were clean and very 1990's New York, with graffiti in the stalls

Great spot for a date night or hang out with a group as you get to drink and play games. There's a variety of video games and pin ball machines ranging from 2-4 quarters. It's good fun for a good price. Also enjoyed some cocktails and beer here, which were under $15. There isn't a kitchen here, so the only food are bar snacks like chips, jerky, nuts, and such though.

I love Barcade! It's a fun place to play games from your childhood. There's something amazing about revisiting that youthful feeling. For beer lovers, they have over 20 beers on tap. They offer happy hour Monday through Friday, as well as a late-night happy hour option. The concept is straightforward: it's precisely what the name implies: a bar and arcade. Overall, 4 stars.

I don't know you can take a boomer Dad any place better. Old school vibe, great selection of old machines, truly a wonderful place.

Barcade is a fun spot to hang with friends in Williamsburg. My friend and I finished dinner in the area and it was cold and raining outside, so instead of walking along the waterfront we decided to come here instead. We arrived Friday night around 8:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded. Many of the games were available especially if you just waited for a couple minutes. We exchanged 10 bucks into tokens and tried out a variety of games. The most expensive were the pinball machines which required 3 tokens (75 cents), but most of the other games only required 1-2 tokens. We had a blast trying a bunch of different games, but my favorites were Donkey Kong and the shooting game Galaga right next to it.

I've been to better Barcades but this one is not too bad. There's limited games compared to other barcades I've been too. Like missing some of those oldies like Dance Dance revolution or some games with shooting zombies. The games itself are pretty cheap, requiring one or 2 quarters. The bar is in the middle and has plenty of seating. It didn't really get full but we left around 11pm. No cover when we came, not sure if there normally is.

I love Barcade, and it's a good spot to have a little fun on a late night. Service is pretty decent... they will definitely make sure you got a good drink. The bartender may have a heavy hand so, if you're a little weight 1-2 drinks are good while you play some vintage arcade games. I love this place after a good dinner or a night of dancing. It's a chill spot. Good people. Live, laugh, and love -Sha

No cover at the door, its dirty grungy and just the way I like it. Barcade is supposed to give a dive bar feeling, otherwise youre in the wrong place. i loved the full wall of pinball machines to choose from. and they had a few of my favorite games Ms. Pacman and the 4player Pacman tabletop, dugout, donkeykong, street fighter and They even had Crazy Taxi !!? Which I havent seen in a LONG TIME. I'll always come back here again and again. Bigger and nicer then St. Marks, not as big as chelsea but a much friendlier atmosphere. Everytime I go to Chelsea Barcade the staff is so nasty and the security is an a**hole no matter the time of day, the type of crowd etc. I've never had a positive experience at the barcade in chelsea

This is the original bar arcade, Barcade for short. There is a nice selection of arcade games and special buzzy drinks that will put you in the mood to play Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Gunblade NY, Daytona USA , NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, and Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles. Whenever I am in New York City, Philadelphia, or Newark I stop into a Barcade for some fun arcade gaming and alcoholic beverages to forget the rest of the world.

Awesome spot to pop in for some local beer and some great arcade games. It's in a great area to walk around and pop in-and-out of different bars! They don't serve food, but they offer chips and wrapped snacks for you to purchase.

Honestly, 10/10. Such a blast. I went here on a date after dinner. We initially got $5 worth of tokens and then ended up doing $20 more. It was such a blast. Excellent for a date night or with friends. The highlights were the Godzilla pinball game and the Toy Story 4 game.

Ask the Community - Barcade

Do they have and use air conditioning during the day?

What happened to Marble Madness?! So sad to come and see it's no longer there...

I would like to know if this establishment has the old school games like pacman, ms pacman, donkey Kong, centipede etc?

It has Pac-Man and Mrs Pac-Man. No donkey Kong or centipede. But it has other old school options, like street fighter 2, mortal combat, frogger, etc.

Is there air hockey?

No. Arcade video games and pinball only.

How many games are there? Does it get too crowded to play anything?

There are many variety of games such as ping pong, arcade fighting, puzzle, crazy taxi, nascar racing, virtual shooting, sports and others. It can get very crowded but trust me you will always find something to play but it just won't be something…

Is there an age restriction? I'm 17 and I really want to go. It really sucks that arcades are 21 plus :(

It is 21+ however there is an all ages arcade in Manhattan's Flatiron.

Is there skeeball?

No we do not offer skeeball. We specialize in arcade video games and pinball. Cheers!…

What's the best time to visit on a Saturday?

I'd recommend getting there before 10pm as crowds develop -especially if the weather is nice- around 9:30pm+

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

This place has everything, attentive service, great beer, and great food. I find that sometimes the beer offerings at various breweries get a bit stale --- it's almost always the same stuff. Keg & Lantern is going to have all your favorite, but they just seem better executed. My go-to first beer is the Soprano. A great crisp Italian pilsner After that, it's off to the races with a high abv hazy ipa. The food here is also great. In particular, I love their fish and chips. After having it multiple times, it seems unbelievably consistent. It's always delicious. My wife loves the blackened fish. Finally, the service is great. They're attentive, always seem to swing by at the right time, and are super friendly. K&L seems to do everything all the other breweries do, but just a little bit better. For sure stop in here. The bar is located on the ground floor of a building at the corner of Union Avenue and Conselyea Street in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. The building has been owned by the Lamonaca family for multiple generations. Beginning in the 1950s, the storefront served as a pharmacy that was run by Lamonaca's great-grandfather. In the 1970s and '80s, it was a gift shop run by his grandfather. Most recently it was an architecture firm. Lamonaca's grandmother still owns the building and even lives in the upstairs apartment. After spending six years at JP Morgan, Lamonca decided to leave the finance world. Although he was interested in finance, it was never his passion. He really loved craft beer though and wanted to open his own place where he could teach people about it. At Beer Karma, Lamonaca has curated a fine selection of beer from local NYC breweries as well as other breweries around the world. I recently visited Beer Karma while I was in Williamsburg to see a concert. Williamsburg is one of my favorite Brooklyn neighborhoods because in addition to the locals being very friendly, there is also a bustling craft beer scene. I was on the lookout for cans by Brooklyn-based Back Home Beer; they're not available in my home state of Connecticut. Beer Karma was cozy and inviting. They had an excellent selection of cans and bottles. I was happy to see that they indeed had cans of Back Home Beer (which I purchased to go). Since I was there, I decided to pull up a seat by the bar and order a draught beer. After looking over the chalkboard menu, I decided to go with Threes Brewing's "Endless Plane" (Wine Barrel-Aged Saison). It was a fantastic beer with delicious notes of white grape and stone fruit; I was very happy with my choice. Everyone at the bar was also very friendly. I had a nice chat with some people about pizza and beer.
