    Tuna tostada
    Jackie W.

The service was incredibly slow, we sat for 10 minutes before anyone came over. We got guac, the tuna tostadas, and steak tacos. For 2 apps, 2 taco orders, 1 tostada and a round of drinks it was $220 before tip. The price point is criminal.

Great service, fun drinks, unique menu, and fantastic view! The salsa had quite the kick but was super flavorful. I highly recommend capping your night out with an order of the churros!

Not bad, but not super duper memorable. Stopped here after an exhibit for a quick bite. Ceviche was good; wasn't a fan of the al dente sweet potato though. The calamari was super bready and there weren't a lot of tentacle pieces; I did really like the sweet pepper sauce but it was really watery so didn't really stay on the calamari. The avocado toast was good but the amount of octopus was disappointing. The raspberry iced tea tasted like flavored water... Kind of gross. Overall really fast service, decent enough food and a good option if you don't want to venture out of Navy Pier.

This is a nice spot right at Navy Pier. It's a chill Latinx restaurant, Peruvian cuisine. The service is wonderfully friendly. The salmon was good a little more done than. I like. My eyes were bigger than my belly so I had to leave some food behind. I was satisfied tho.

Fabulous experience here! First time for me at the Navy Pier, and the menu looked good so... Your choice of a large indoor dining room or outdoor seating, and we took the latter, with narrow bar like seating overlooking the water. Fernando was our server and was extremely helpful with choosing our food, as we probably would not have enjoyed our original choice. Drinks: classic mojito was smooth, double Captain and diet a stringing pour. We started with tuna ceviche tostadas, two beautifully prepared tostadas with incredible flavored ceviche, light yet filling. We also shared mariscada, a wonderful mix of seafood with a peanut sauce that had quite the kick. We were able to catch the weekly Saturday night fireworks Fromm our seats while being comfortably seated. Billy, a photographer, went around taking photos, so we bought some. Nice guy as well. Inside dining room was large; many diners inside and out. DJ was working outside, music not consistently what I'd listen to but added to the fun, Miami Beach vibe. Prices what you'd expect for a touristy area but food again was delicious.

It's July 4th. We are on the pier and dropped in. No line, no wait and food in less than 10 minutes. Serve hot and ready. Shrimp dip was delicious and pita was serve soft and to order . The ambiance was great. Music playing in the background.

Food was average, atmosphere and service were great. Slower when we were there so not to long of a wait on food. Forgot to take a picture of the T-bone but it was ok. Would choice a different option next time.

Excellent service, excellent food! We stopped in here for a quick bite and to rest our tootsies after walking down to Navy Pier. The staff was friendly and on the ball. We had to the tuna ceviche tostadas, and they were fresh and delicious. I had an aperol sprirz that I was very happy with. I'd definitely visit again,

Prime real estate near the end of navy pier! Bar Sol has a great atmosphere with stunning views, perfect for a celebration. The staff was attentive and made the experience fun with sparklers on the dessert. However, the strong bar smell made it harder to fully enjoy the food. Overall, a lively spot for special occasions, but the ambiance could be improved. -AT

We came during December, we were waking by the pier and found this spot. Everything we ordered blew our minds in presentation and flavor. People complain about the price but what do you expect a restaurant in a prime location to be? Service was very quick with alot of extra options. We will definitely recommend if you guys like mariscos and a good time!

The food was good. Nothing special. The food is on the pricier side which is to be expected since it is in Navy Pier by the water. The environment was nice. I ate outside with my girlfriend and children. The service was ok no complaints.

    Steak Tacos

Great Spot for Fireworks Night! We picked this place because it looked like the view would be good on a Wednesday night. The outdoor seating provided a great view once 9:00 came around. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our request for seats with a view of the water. The waiter was quick and had good recommendations. She had the garlic shrimp and I ordered the steak tacos. We both really enjoyed our meals. She had a Paloma and I had a beer. Both were well prepared and served. The food was perfectly delicious and given the available view during the fireworks, it's really a great value if you are visiting Chicago, and have Navy Pier on your list, this is a great choice for dinner.

Stopped here while visiting Chicago. After sifting through Yelp, we found this place. Our friend,…read morewho is a local, mentioned that she'd been there once and it was pretty good. The first thing I noticed walking in was the ambiance. Nice decor with a city hotspot feel. We had a teen and tween with us and both found something on the menu. Most of us ordered bowls with sesame sauce which were delicious. We each ordered different meats with our bowls and no complaints. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich which he devoured and my daughter had a quesadilla which they prepared especially for her without any sauce. Everything was tasty. We had a problem with our order when my daughter found a small piece of plastic wrapper in her food. We told our waiter and he immediately informed management. The manager came over and offered a new plate but my daughter was fine having the current plate. So instead, she comped her meal and gave her a choice of dessert with a gigantic milk. Despite the minor glitch, this place deserves 5 stars for the way they handled this issue. We feel they went above and beyond to remedy the situation. If only all restaurant management were like this. If we are ever in Chicago again, we will be back.

No notes. The sandwich had candied bacon on it with this perfect sweet flavor, and it normally comes with honey Dijon--but I don't do Dijon, so I swapped it for this garlic sauce ‍ And when I say that garlic tanginess mixed with the sweet candied bacon... whew. Chef's kiss. Absolute perfection. My boyfriend got the steak wok bowl with corn, broccoli, brown rice, and some other veggies--and I definitely stole a few bites It was SO good. Like... flavorful, fresh, just everything. The whole vibe? Perfect for a lunch date. The ambiance was cute, relaxed, and just right And I loved that they serve room temperature water (because ice? not my thing ‍) But let's talk about the real star--our waiter Eli He was AMAZING. Super personable, funny, and just a whole vibe. He had the cutest red cat-eye nails and burgundy hair accents--like, style on point He told us he manages both the Gold Coast and River North locations, so I'm definitely hoping we run into him again. And when me and my boyfriend were holding hands at the end, he goes, "Aww this is so cute. I'm not jealous though" we all cracked up. Just made the experience even better. Listen... 5 stars is not enough. It's just not. If you've been thinking about going--THIS IS YOUR SIGN. Go. I promise you won't regret it

We saunter up to our chosen restaurant only to find a sign on the door that says, "closed for private event." Did I mention I was hangry? My husband suggests Jake Melnick's. It was within walking distance ... did I mention it was raining that night? And I was hangry? I was game for anything at that point. We arrived and waited probably four minutes for a table. A couple of the adults ordered a beer, the others ordered a Coke. We ordered a large pretzel and our mains. The pretzel was so good. All the meals were outstanding (a sliced brisket sandwich, some wings, chicken tenders, onion rings and a burger). Service was great. It was a little loud when we first arrived as there was an intense Illinois State basketball game on but as soon as the game ended, it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our meal at Jake's!

The Cheesecake Factory has been a staple in my life since high school…read more I recently visited The Cheesecake Factory to take advantage of the happy hour specials. This location has a designated area for happy hour. It's a spacious area that includes a mix of bar seating, high top tables, and regular tables. It was slightly confusing where to sit when you get to the designated space. The hostess at the restaurant entrance points you to the happy hour area with the expectation of another person in the section to sit you. But the staff in the section ignored me for 15 mins to the point that I sat anywhere in the section and got scolded by a waitress. But otherwise the staff were friendly and welcoming. They have quite a few options on the happy hour menu. I ordered the happy hour burger which was solid. I added the fries to even out the meal but it was well worth the money. I was able to get two meals out of my order. I also got to try the elote appetizer which was delicious. I could see myself ordering that again in the future. The biggest thing I noticed is the cheesecake slices have gotten much smaller. There was once a time when the slice would sit upright and almost touch each side of the slice box but now it's gotten so small they have to lay the slice on the side. The slice prices have also increased. I definitely see myself coming back for another happy hour to try more of the menu.

We got there around 8am on 06/18/26 and the place was kind of empty. We stood for awhile waiting to be seated. Finally a lady said she would take us to a table but that they were all dirty. We kind of looked at each other puzzled. She kept mentioning that they were dirty and weren't cleaned yet but seated us at a high top that hadn't been cleaned and tried to clean it herself. We wanted a window seat so we accepted it. It seemed fine after she cleaned it. It was just a strange way to bring us into the restaurant before the tables were cleaned. We could have stood by the door and waited some more. But the service and food were very good! Our server was Jose, who was excellent while checking on us several times to make sure everything was good. The vanilla latte that he recommended was delicious! I ordered the 3 Egg Ham 'n Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and my daughter had the Eggs Benedict. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned correctly. Yummy!
