Came in for bloodies and the loaded one did not disappoint. We also had the fried pickles and elote dip. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as an outdoor patio.

Food, service, atmosphere... they got it all!!! I'd totally come back! We got wings and they were so good. Perfectly cooked.

I had heard really good things about the wings here and so finally came to try it out. The outdoor patio is very cute and perfect for a nice spring or summer day. I got the boneless wings with firecracker and medium buffalo sauce. The sauces were amazing but the wings were very mid. It was all dark meat and not the best experience. The potato wedges were also too much potato to sauce ratio. I definitely need to come back and try some of their brisket and other wings out though.

I've been here before but their wings are good especially the firecracker ones. We got seated like after 25 minutes and it was a wait before our waiter came to take our orders but they were busy. The only thing I would say is they didn't refill my sprite and I wished they did. Overall the waffles Parmesan fries were alright.

Aye here on a Saturday afternoon, place was half full, sat down and order drinks and some appetizers, waitress was very nice. Place had lots of memorabilia from Chicago and had lots of TVs. I got lulus jalapeño cheese burger and it was pretty good, the cheese was very intertwined with the burger and meat was juicy, it came with a bacon wrapped jalapeno which I thought would come in the burger but it came separate so, little let down there. The problem was that when we ordered it took 1 hour for our food to come out and our order had 2 burgers, a salad and a wrap, which should not have taken an hour but the manager came over to our table and apologized for the wait and gave us a bit off the check, so that was a nice gesture. Overall was a nice restaurant with good food and atmosphere, I do want to note that there was a automatic 20% gratuity added to the check already, so just a warning before you eat here

Definitely DELICIOUS!! Food is amazing and the beer selection.. Second to none. Happy Hour is fabulous and a great value. The best place to watch the big game ( or any game). The staff and servers are great and efficient.

Okay I could live in here. We popped in for a snack after a boat tour and not only was the bartender a friggin rock star and handling so much at once with grace and kindness, but the food was incredible. We got the wings of the month in February 2026 which were maple chipotle lime??? Something I never knew I needed. The $20 price tag for 8 wings was well worth it when we saw their size. Plus the cook on them was incredible. Shared those and cheese curds and there's nothing better to wash down a cold beer. Only complaint was don't sit by the door. But we were tourists so how could we know!

This was a great refuel stop after walking around the city all day. Our server was enthusiastic and helpful. Sandwich and wings were great. Casual sports bar vibes Great spot to grab a drink and bite when you're nearby.

Wings: 1. KC BBQ - Jake's secret 2. Whiskey BBQ - bacon, molasses, whiskey 3. Ponchos - grilled, garlic, cayenne 4. Korean BBQ - grilled, sweet soy, sesame Sides: 1. Dill Pickle Crispy Tots 2. Parmesan Garlic Waffle Fries I finally get the hype now. They're jumbo, saucy, and juicy. Basically near perfect if crispier. Sauce flavors were all tasty although perhaps over sauced but that's personal preference. Potato sides were perfectly crispy and fluffy. Tots need more dill pickle seasoning. Service was good and there's a ton of seating. Tables are terribly sticky.

I was craving fries and fried pickles, we decided to come here at the end of our chicago trip around 3 pm on Sunday. It wasn't packed at all and the service was very kind. We ordered a bunch of items to share: Mac and cheese - This was okay. I've had better mac and cheese before but this gets the job done. Broccolini - This was delicious. It's coated in caesar dressing and breadcrumbs. I would order this again. KBBQ Chicken Wings - They just tasted like bbq without the korean part. They weren't a favorite. Seasoned Waffle fries - These were really good. I asked for ranch on the side for this. Fried Pickles - My favorite item. These were so good but a little messy so I ate with a fork and knife. Always craving these. Overall this is a great place for sports bar casual bites. They were playing the Roland Garros on the TV.

Bites, brews, and the best kind of chaos -- Jake Melnick's style Cheese curds and boneless buffalo wings from Jake Melnick's? Absolutely unmatched The cheese curds were perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey inside, and those wings hit that perfect balance of tangy and spicy. Washed it all down with their house beer and margaritas it was 10/10 combo for a chill Chicago night the service was fast, and Jake's ambiance is always so fun!

So much fun at our Get Sauced Party. My ten friends we divided into groups to compete for best BBQ sauce. The staff, Manager John, Chef Keith, Anthony and Anna, were so engaging. We loved the mi I burgers and wings. We're passing it on, for great BBQ and fun atmosphere, head to Jake Melnick's

Stopped in on a Tuesday around 530 to catch the end of happy hour and stayed to play trivia at 7pm. Happy hour deals were pretty good. We got $8 mixed drinks, ordered a buffalo chicken dip and the fries pickles. The mixed drinks were pretty tasty, the fries pickles were some of the best I've had. Very crispy and the dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. The buffalo chicken dip had a great flavor, but wasn't hot or bubbling. It should've been left in the oven for a few extra minutes and it would've been perfect. It was luke warm on the inside. The service was great though and trivia was a lot of fun. I'd definitely go back and try some more of the food.

If I didn't pay $20 for this pulled pork sandwich, it would have been in the trash.

I usually don't drink on the weekdays, so I ended up just getting an iced tea and him a tequila soda, but because I don't drink, we decided to get an appetizer and we browsed the menu for a minute and ended up splitting the Parmesan chicken egg rolls. Truthfully, I really just wanted to see what that would entail because it seemed a little disgusting or maybe even some kind of high-food, but to my surprise, it was actually a really crispy skinned pizza roll. I'm pretty sure it had been previously frozen, but in that moment- served with a side of marinara, I didn't really care. It was full of gooey melted mozzarella cheese and almost like a breaded chicken nugget center. Pretty decent as far as bar food goes. They also had crab rangoon to which I thought, "hmm are they doing a little too much?!" I'm sure drunk me would have gotten them years ago so what can ya do. Overall, quite a positive experience. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich which he devoured and my daughter had a quesadilla which they prepared especially for her without any sauce. Everything was tasty. The burger was perfectly cooked as was the sunny side up egg. I ordered it with a side of fries. Perfectly cooked fries. They give huge portions. I was able to share with my friends. All the more better to savor all intricate dishes from start to finish. Like the name, The Purple Pig, their specialty is pork dishes so majority of our orders were this. Daily special of the bone marrow bacon jam toast - glazed, slippery off the bone, savory and sweet. Always love a good bone marrow dish to get the sweetness off it. This was so good that there were bits of the marrow and jam left stuck to the bone, I took a piece of the toast and scooped the bone dry. Nothing left for anyone to attack this. Non pork dishes were the Mushroom 3 ways and Spanish octopus. Mushroom dish was savory with all the coated sauces elevating this. Spanish octopus was kicked lightly and easily can bite in to enjoy the tender and charred portions. But the award went to my main course - the braised pork shoulder with saffron, apricots and Swiss chard. Aside from the rippable pork meat when dining on it, the sauces fused together on this dish elevated it and had everyone coming back for more. I needed an official Chicago culinary experience and found it at The Purple Pig without a doubt.
