This was my favorite restaurant we went to in Chicago! You must get the sweet potato chips and guacamole. Everything was so good, the service was great. We will go back here next time we are in Chicago!

If it's located right off magnificent mile, it has to be magnificent right ? Yes. This place is quite magnificent. I'm a huge turkey burger fan and regularly seek them out on the road. It is wonderful. We also had a Cesar salad which is standard but really good. It says make reservations but we just walked in. Good place to watch a game right after a shopping spree. I loved it and you will too!

Awesome! The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic! The 3 of us ordered Filet & fries, Chicken kabobs, plus a ginger salad w/ grilled chicken and drinks. My colleague kept mentioning how the steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were the best he's had. Seasoned perfectly. I loved my ginger salad with chicken. We were all very happy! The only item I didn't care for was the Matzo ball soup. Highly recommend this place!

We had an excellent casual dinner at Doc B's. We had been in town all week staying at the Sofitel and just wanted a good meal and good service without the bloated price tag and within walking distance. We chose well. Our server (Chris) was excellent; knowledgeable and willing to offer suggestions. Thankfully we listened to our server; the Tangled Noodle Bowl was outstanding. We would have preferred without the radish (not mentioned on the menu) but otherwise, just tremendous. My chicken wok out bowl was perfect. Pair these with the Slo Down Red Blend (slightly overpriced @$72) which was great and you have a fine meal. No room for dessert but they sounded delicious. Next time. I highly recommend this establishment

Doc Bs was pretty good! Very easy to get a reservation which makes it convenient for last minute dinner plans. The inside is a mix between a nice restaurant and a sports bar so you can either dress up or down when coming here. I liked my salad but thought it was overpriced for the mediocre quality. The shrimp was over cooked so next time I would get something else.

Came here because we were staying at the Drake Hotel and the staff recommended it! It did not disappoint! We were seated immediately even though the place is fairly small. Walked past a table that had ordered the chimichurri wings and knew we HAD to get them. They were the best wings we've had ever!! Insane seasoning and crunch!! I ordered the steak sandwich medium rare. If you're torn on what to get, GET THIS! So so so good. My family also liked the wedge burger and the noodle bowl. Service was great! Definitely recommend!!

We walked to Doc B's from our hotel and while we did not have reservations, we were able to get a table outside. Our server was extremely helpful and made sure we always had whatever we needed. For an app, we had the Housemade Guac with sweet potato chips and it had great flavor. Our entrees were the Chimichurri Steak, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Cucumber & Feta Salad, and the Marinated Steak Wok Out Bowl with Sweet & Spicy Thai Sauce on the side. It's hard to say whose was the best, but we all tried each other's entrees. The fried chicken was juicy and satisfying, the chimichurri steak was extremely tender and addictive, and the wok out bowl had flavor in every bite and the steak was supremely succulent. Doc B's has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and their food is outstanding.

We loved this place after a busy day exploring around the city. It has a great location and good vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Our food was delicious. I got the Cajun sandwich and really liked it. I choose the Buffalo potatos as my side. This was a big serving with a lot of food. We also got a side of broccoli to share and loved it. I was very impressed with the waiter. He was attentive and helpful. There were also additional waitresses filling up water.

They simply have the most delicious meals! The service is amazing and the food is always fresh. Is a very nice place hidden in the Gold Coast

Think they're trying to do the Hillstone restaurant group thing, and by gosh they're doing it. I'm here on work and have eaten lunch here 3 days in a row. Servers are trained well and are professional. And the chicken Caesar wrap is maybe the best one I've ever had.

Great food and attentive service. The street side seating at night on a weekday was calm and peaceful, perfect for a date night. I ordered the petite filet with the jalapeño potatoes. The jalapeño potato's came in an interesting presentation piled up with the sauce on top but it was delicious. They're smashed crispy potatoes with a creamy jalapeño sauce, not spicy just flavorful. The filet was the perfect size for me and the garnish of the tomatoes is a nice touch. I'm not sure what sauce was on the tomatoes but it was great. I paired my meal with a Riesling, my favorite. It was sweet and crisp. I loved the experience and will eagerly visit again.

Great pub food. The guacamole was yummy. The bartender was great. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ribs were really good. Would go back and great stop if you are looking for bbq, sandwiches and drinks.

Cute little restaurant to have drinks in dinner while exploring the city. Our server was great and efficient. The food came out timely, but was a little underwhelming for the price. The cocktails were tasty, but no buzz here. Typical bar and American fare.

Service was friendly and top notch as expected from a nice Chicago restaurant. Props to the serving assistant/"busboy" who kept our waters full and table clean and set as we ate. As a former buss boy and server, I really appreciated his effort and attentiveness. Food was excellent! I got the chicken picatta with rigatoni added and both were on point. Homemade pasta and succulent chicken were really fantastic for an otherwise "boring" choice by me. We shared a side of the cauliflower that was seasoned impeccably with toasted almonds and white raisins. It might have been the best part of our entire meal which is saying a lot. I'll begin by mentioning the drinks tasted great & the ambiance/overall esthetic and setup of this space is really wonderful. Unfortunately, my low review is because of the obvious distastefulness of some staff who are serving & bartending here. My guests visiting from out of state wanted a stiff drink in the afternoon & from the website photos + reviews, Vol 39 seemed like an awesome place that could accommodate our party with the large sofa seating. I even called ahead to ask about walk-ins of our size to be extra considerate. We received shocking dagger glares from a few staff members which made all eight of us immediately uncomfortable before even being sat. Like we were committing a major crime for thinking we could step foot in here. Empty stack of glasses slammed on the table with a water pitcher placed beside them; "I'll be right back." In a sharp tone. Ok. But not if we're paying $20 per person per cocktail. We were rushed and this attitude persisted, it is lazy.. especially given it was extremely slow.. super surprising for such an elevated establishment. Then, after a long while, we were all asked what we wanted to drink, like a fast casual burger joint. No, "any questions about our selections" or, "may I give some suggestions?" Never came by to check on us once despite the three other two tops inside. We wrapped it up fast since we definitely could choose another location with more attentiveness & basic kindness. We paid, a hefty gratuity in small print on the check which.. you guessed it.. was automatically included but no mention of this tidbit by the server. Maybe this is why we revived all this mean girl energy from the jump? Because they'll still get paid really well regardless? All eight of us have been a part of the service industry and this one stuck out extra frustrating & annoying. Never leave a low review, I'm writing today to management because they will ruin your repeat clientele, seriously. People can find another fabulous cocktail with way better service & vibes in the city. Overall, it was a shame my friends experienced this gross behavior today in the fabulous city of Chicago. Hope the staff does better in the future and works on improving their outlook.
