This restaurant was expensive, that much is true. However, every single item was absolutely worth the price. I ordered the chicken and was thoroughly impressed. Every single drink was fantastic as well, the golden ratio and floral equation were my favorite. The service was equally impressive (Sam was great)! The vibe of the restaurant was also very cool; the bar looks very fancy. I would definitely come again.

If you are a brunch fan, then you have to swing by here to try their brunch! It's an Italian style brunchissimo experience and it's definitely what you should experience. The decor inside of the Albert is already outstanding - old books everywhere like literally thousands of them in from what I was told some of them are limited addition or hard to find books. How dope is that? The live music is the next best thing. Live music is such a great touch to anything. What I definitely enjoyed about this particular experience is the rolling carts that they have. They have a rolling cart to bring you various little appetizers that you can choose from or want to make your own crostini ? You can do that with the rolling cart and then they have a rolling cart for dessert. The drinks were also super good as well and I had no complaints when it came to those! I can definitely say that everything I tried was delicious. I would highly recommend and return to myself.

Breakfast time at Albert - The image shows a contemporary restaurant interior with high ceilings featuring dark wooden slats and small recessed lights. Artwork is displayed on the walls, and a bar area with patrons seated is visible. The decor includes hanging art installations and a mix of round and rectangular tables with chairs. The space appears well-lit and designed for a modern dining experience.

The ambiance was nice. Quiet and easy. Food came out fast and service was solid. They were very attentive. The avocado toast was so so. The avocado seemed more like a premade paste, too many purple onions and the bread was pretty soggy. I would definitely add an egg and smoked salmon if you get it.

The image shows a round wooden table set with a variety of dishes and drinks at a restaurant. There is a rectangular pizza with cheese, tomato, and green pesto, a bowl of pasta with cheese and vegetables, and two beverages—one with a lemon slice and a straw, and a glass of water. Plates, utensils, a small bowl of chili flakes, and a lime wedge are also visible on the table. The background includes chairs and part of the restaurant interior.

Absolutely loved the Albert brunch! I tried their brunchissimo experience and it was wonderful - Really transports you to a European country with the expansive menu, rolling carts of salads, bruschetta, and cookies. The ambiance is lovely with soft, live instrumental music and plenty of seating and a nice bar area. The server was so friendly and recommended some great dishes. The pizzas and pasta were delicious and the espresso martini was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Dinner menu as of 03.17.2025 - The dinner menu includes sections for pasta, antipasti, primi, and dolce. Pasta options feature ravioli, risotto, tagliatelle, and stracciatella, with descriptions of ingredients and prices. Antipasti include crudo, artichoke, smoked duck, and others. Primi dishes include sea bass, cioppino, chicken, and lamb shank. Dolci options include olive oil cake, chocolate soufflé, apple crostata, and almond cherry tart. The menu is printed on a black background with white and beige text, and includes detailed dish descriptions and prices.

Rating: 4/5 A very cool bar with an elevated, exclusive feel. We sat at the bar for a quick drink and checked out their happy hour menu which was their daily bar specials. With only three options, we decided to order from the regular menu instead. Northern Lights ($19): Vodka, elderflower, chamomile, lavender. This was a well-balanced and cohesive drink--delicious, smooth, and you barely taste the alcohol. Golden Ratio ($19): Tequila, passion fruit, lychee. The lychee and passion fruit flavors stand out, followed by a subtle tequila finish. Based on the name, it seems like they inverted the ratio of alcohol to syrup, which some might enjoy, but it wasn't for us.

A breakfast plate includes scrambled eggs with spinach, tomatoes, and cheese, accompanied by two slices of toasted bread and a hash brown. The plate is placed on a white marble table, with a glass of water, a drink, and condiments visible in the background.

We had three breakfasts here so far and each dish is well done. Atmosphere is also 5 stars. Italian crust is a bit a deep fry and a bit oily so if you are not into oily and deep-fry, avoid this dish.

Here in Chicago on Biz came here with a colleague for dinner . We started off with 2 amazing salads , the romaine lettuce wedges but skipped the anchovy dressing and did this amazing balsamic w cheese dressing and the Beet with goat cheese Wow both were winners ! Then the best pasta we ordered 2 dishes the Mushroom risotto with cheese that was hands down the best I've ever had , we also had the Tagliatelle pasta with meat sauce that was wonderful.

Artwork - The image features a colorful cartoon-style illustration of multiple characters seated at a bar or table. The characters have exaggerated facial features and expressions, with some holding drinks and others engaging with each other. The scene includes a variety of individuals with different hairstyles, glasses, and clothing, along with objects like a beer bottle, a dog, and a plate of food. The artwork is illuminated from behind, highlighting the detailed and lively scene.

A decent place for breakfast. Had a mocha cappuccino and a crunchy Italian which was pretty good. Hubby got a breakfast sandwich which was on the smaller side. Appreciated all of the fun wall artwork as conversations pieces while enjoying the meal. Service was quick.

Went during marathon weekend to try their pri fixe menu and it took me by surprise! As a table, we tried a variety of different dishes: Starters: 1. The arugula and goat cheese salad 2. Seared Ahi Tuna: the tuna had a perfect thin layer of sear around it and it was a generous serving size with great seasoning. Entree: smaller portion size, but with the starter and dessert, a reasonable portion. 1. Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce 2. Braised short rib ravioli with candied walnuts and cacio e pepe 3. Garganelli with asparagus, tomatoes in cream sauce Dessert: 1. Flourless chocolate cake: was (again) generous in size and just as rich and decadent one would want for a flourless chocolate cake. The service was fine. Nothing bad or over the top. The ambiance was brightly lit, not too loud, clean and modern.

Ambiance 5/5 Service 4.5/5 Food 3/5 Restaurant with upscale modern ambience inside a hotel. Food was highly mediocre and overpriced - not surprising for a hotel restaurant. Brussel sprouts 2/5 - undercooked, nearly steamed not roasted, parmesan cheese was not even melted, lacking any sort of flavor Garlic herb fingerling potatoes 2/5 - appears like they would be delicious but lacked any sort of flavor. Must've been air fried not roasted. Seasoned with what appeared to be seasoned salt Fried artichoke 4/5 - crispy, crunchy, delightful Albert burger 3.5/5 - solid burger, no complaints, nothing special Olive oil cake 5/5 - wonderful fluffy cake with a refreshing hint of orange. Pistachio crumbs on top added a unique flavor to the cake. Apple crostata 4/5 - solid apple pastry dessert. Buttery crust with sweet and tart apples. Interesting combination with pistachio ice cream, enjoyable.

    Lamb Shank cooked to perfection.

Came here for a small graduation celebration. Our server was very knowledgeable of menu, drinks and recommendations. Great ambience and service. Can't wait to come back on our next visit.

A drink is presented in a tall, clear glass with a textured geometric pattern. The beverage appears to be a cocktail with a light, cloudy color, topped with crushed ice and garnished with fresh mint leaves. The glass is positioned on a white marble surface, with a dark background behind it.

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

That said, this place just completely disappointed. The food was just not good. I had the burger sliders and for $9 a piece you expect them to be something special. They were not. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. Service was friendly and I think the guy was new but it wasn't good enough for a place like that at the top of the building. There were two servers so I'm guessing one was training maybe. They didn't make it to my table to check to see if everything was okay while I was eating and it even took them a while to notice that I was done eating. It's was slow so I don't think they were stressing with too many tables. That kind of place should knock your socks off - but it was on the low end of mediocre. I wouldn't go there again for food. For parking you definitely should use Spothero or ParkWhiz, as it's in a very busy/lively part of River North. We loved meeting the owner who was chatting with and checking on guests in the dining room. The menu was really creative and sounded amazing, totally up my alley, so was super excited to try Ila's out for the first time. Unfortunately, and it pains me to say this, but the food itself was a miss for me, and the prices felt steep for the portions. We ordered the empanada duo, grilled scallops, birria lamb pierogis, and sweet corn agnolotti, then the Japanese cheesecake and drip coffee. The positives were that everything tasted fresh, and the flavors of the dishes were good ~ especially the empanadas, scallops, and agnolotti. The main issue was the texture of some of the foods. Other than the empanada (which had a great texture and flavor), the agnolotti and pierogi dough were not right ~ thick, rubbery, and dry, which was exacerbated by not having enough consommé for the pierogis. And the coffee - it honestly tasted like Folgers (though I'll give them the benefit of the doubt) - which took me aback as it was a $7 drip coffee. I'm not discounting Ila's and I truly wish them success. But I think there's some work to be done in terms of execution.
