My experience here was being seated indoors seeing as how I was here in February. The happy hour menu was on point, with its mix of cocktails, beer/wine, and bar bites. This is what led me here in the first place, along with my dim recall of attending a holiday party near here years ago and finding the location convenient. The server in my area was efficient and friendly, offering menus right away and providing a glass of ice water without prompting. For two glasses of wine and a basket of french fries (very generously portioned), I felt the bill was reasonable. Not a fault of the bar/restaurant, or perhaps a factor of its location, but the crowd at the bar did not pass the vibe check. To a person, everyone seemed obsessed with KPI reports and sales figures - no other topics of conversation whatsoever. I've been in bars in the Loop/Financial district and no one was nearly this single minded - yikes! Listening in on these conversations was surreal, however, it made me feel grateful that I packed a book along. read more

We didn't have a chance to try the food, but the drinks were delicious, and the staff was even better. The bar top was nice to sit at. We had an Espresso martini and a Cosmo and had great conversation with our bartender. Was really nice to just sit back and relax. read more

This was a great place for outside happy hour on a beautiful day. My coworker and I split the lobster rolls and truffle fries and they were both great. We tried a few different drinks and enjoyed them all. Our server kind of disappeared at the end though, and we had to flag someone down to close us out. Otherwise, it was good. read more

Love this place. The food was amazing. I had the shrimp quinoa salad. So good. Very quiet and low lit restaurant inside the Weston hotel. Zero complaints. I definitely suggest checking it out. There are many good food options. They also have several TVs so if you're interested in watching a game it's available. read more

Keith and Pedro are living legends. Kerner also behind the bar with a bud, Jameson, and a smile. No better location in the city. No better Starwood staff. Great bar, great outdoor space, great suites, especially presidential and celebrity suites. Ask for the two floor suite. Great views of the river, fireworks in the summer. Went to 320 RiverBar because we were staying in the hotel and needed a quick bite to eat. The bar looks like a nice, classy place to relax and have some drinks. We were able to order at the bar and the food was served to us there. We got the mushroom flatbread, pork belly tacos, and caesar salad. The flatbread and salad came out pretty quickly. The tacos took longer, but the bartender kept us updated while we were waiting. The food was decent but wasn't very memorable. read more

Absolutely LOVED the lobster roll will be back for it again as I'm staying here a few days. Truffle fries were fresh and served with a spicy ketchup and Mayo- perfect combo. Service was sweet, they had an event going on but I was still taken care of in a timely manner. This restaurant is located in the lobby of a hotel with a full bar. I personally wouldn't go if I weren't staying here but I do suggest it if you're staying in the hotel to kill time. read more

Had a nice late afternoon lunch/dinner with my family on a beautiful sunny day. Great views of the river and downtown Chicago out on the patio. Location is perfect! Pricey but expected for the location. Food was good. I had the protein bowl but had to pay extra for the actual protein. Had a margarita which was decent a little on the sweeter side. Service was great! Our waiter was very attentive. Overall the best part was the ambiance. read more

What can I say - the only redeeming quality about this bar is the patio and the playlist. And even then I would pass on this next time. Attached to a hotel, which looks to house quite a few weddings, bachelor parties and people who want the Chicago experience, my first clue should have been so many empty tables on the deck on a perfect 80 degree Saturday afternoon. We were quick to get served, but that didn't last past our first cocktail. $14.50 Titos and Soda, you would think they would be a little quicker on the refill. We didn't try the food; but menu looked alright...nothing great and after reading the reviews, I'm glad we didn't bother. Restrooms are inside the lobby of the Hotel and they (at least the women's) looked like it got hit by a hurricane. Everything was wet. I get it, you are on the Riverwalk, I'm sure there are quite a few different people who come through your lobby, but you can do better (for 14.50 for a poorly poured single liquor cocktail, you should be doing better). All in all, it was a nice day in Chicago, and I enjoyed the conversation I had with my drinking partner. I think next time, if I want to drink on the Riverwalk, I'll make my own in a reusable water bottle like all those soccer mom's on Dr. Phil. read more

I stayed at the Westin for 3 days and had 3 meals at the 320 RiberBar. Twice I had breakfast here. I had oatmeal and coffee. The oatmeal was $17...which buys a lot of oatmeal. I was fine with that given it being a hotel restaurant with a river view. But the service was terrible. They were short staffed and I was serving our table coffee and water the entire meal. The waiter was working hard, but there was too much to do. I said something to the manager, he knew of them being short handed and looked disappointed in himself. Just disappointing. read more

This place is not bad. It was a little tricky to find but not bad. It's on the expensive side but it's what one would expect when you're dining on the Riverwalk. My friend and I ordered flatbread pizzas. They were decent. Mine had chicken and pesto, hers was a basic margarita pizza. We both had drinks. I only had one because I still think paying $16 for a drink is too much. It is attached to the Westin hotel. We had called for reservations, although they take them - I was questioned as to why I wanted one. I was trying to plan ahead for Halloween night when we were going to a concert at House of Blues right across the street after. Our server was very kind and efficient. We were helped immediately. Parking will be difficult- it's street and garage parking but it's limited and expensive. It is in an area densely populated with bars and restaurants. read more

We were staying at the Westin and decided to eat here. We sat at a high top table. We were not greeted right away but since the view is so lovely we didn't mind. It was lunch time on a Friday afternoon. We ordered the steak wrap with fries and a chicken Caesar salad. I didn't try any of the wrap but it sure looked good and healthy. The fries were hand cut and crispy. Some of the best fries I've had. The Caesar salad was sooooo good. It was a very large portion and was made with chopped romaine and kale, sunflower seeds, lots of warm grilled chicken, and wheat croutons. The view was amazing and so was the food. Service lacked a bit but it looked like there was only one server for the whole place. I would definitely return here when I'm back in Chicago. read more

320 RiverBar is located at the Westin Chicago River North hotel. It is located on the lobby level and offers one-of-a-kind view of downtown's Chicago River on the patio deck. A hidden gem downtown! Came here for a work happy hour-I'd never even heard of this place before and was pleasantly surprised to discover it's a great patio tucked in near the river. It's off the beaten path a bit, so it can be a bit challenging to find, but that makes it feel more intimate and there are signs to guide you. The views are great, and the happy hour specials were pretty good ($5 glasses of wine, not sure what the other specials were). They have an outdoor bar set up, which was nice so you didn't have to go inside to order Be careful though, you have to ask for the happy hour special otherwise you'll get charged the full price (at least with the bartender working that day, it happened to a few of my coworkers). I asked for the advertised frose at one point, and the outdoor bartender explained those had to be made inside and that bar was busy, so there'd be a wait and it would probably melt. I appreciated his honesty, but was also a little bummed. I'll just have to go back to check it out! read more

Stopped for a drink based on the good reviews. My companion and I sat at the bar and after a bit of a wait were asked what we'd like. Asked for a bar menu to see what was available and were told about the Happy Hour specials. If you're not too picky about wine the price is right ($5), but the house brand is one I don't care for. I spent $14 for a decent Chardonnay which is about right for Chicago. My companion got an Old Fashioned, which he said was mixed a bit too sweet, but was plenty strong - also $14. Outside area looked nice, we sat inside as it was a 90 degree day and a bit warm in the sun. Overall service was a bit of a disappointment and drinks were just average or a bit underwhelming. May try again outside on another day. read more

This riverfront restaurant is perfect post work! Especially in good weather. The happy hour has food and wine for $5 until 630! Cab was a good choice. The salad with salmon was huge and delicious! This is not easy parking as it's in the bottom of the Westin hotel. read more

Nice spot to hit up on a nice, warm and summery day! Me and my colleagues were saying farewell to a very good friend/colleague and this was the decided destination. Its a part of the Westin Hotel on the Chicago River. We had a group of about 20 people and they were definitely able accommodate our squad. They had some really good drinks on the menu and I have been into mezcal lately so I went with the Cucumber Mezcalina. The drink was very good and refreshing so I decided to have a couple more. The woman we were saying farewell to was having some rose' so I decided to join. I had the Rotary Brut Rose' and then the Sanford Rose'...both very good. We had a couple of servers working our table, but Asksana (I believe was her name) was very good and keeping track of whom ordered what and made sure all the separate tabs were accurate. Go ahead and head over here for a drink, or 2 or 3! read more

This place has a great menu filled with something for everyone from seafood to burgers to sushi to fries and wings. Drinks were delicious, only damper on the evening was the waitress. I absolutely love this spot! Location along the river is perfect for people watching and the patio is beautiful. I went on a beautiful Friday afternoon and tried a lot of the menu options. It's really hard to give this place 3 stars. After a spectacular Yelp event, and meeting a wonderful manager and great staff members I came back twice and the service is terrible. There was only one person serving and she was very slow even with a small crowd on the patio. It was a beautiful weeknight and the menu is fantastic so it's just sad. I don't know why there wasn't more help. A group of 4 elderly woman came in and were becoming very impatient in their own right. All though the food is good and the views are great, I'm not sure how long 320 RiverBar will continue to stay. Our server seemed so bored and tired. She was nice but had no interest in being there and it showed. If you are at the River, I ask you to go to City Winery for wine, or Bridge House Tavern for food and drinks. read more

Great new spot on the river walk. Loved the specialty cocktails, especially the sangria. Nice and heavy on the brandy. Service was excellent! You never know if it will be with new places since they're still working out the kinks. They clearly selected very attentive and personable staff. The food was amazing. I want to eat the mac and cheese and deviled eggs all day everyday. The sliders were delicious too. Best of all was the location. The new river walk is exploding right now. This is totally in the center of it. Only thing to be on the lookout for is the signage. We missed some of if and ended up wandering for a bit to figure out how to get in. Easiest bet is to cut through the Westin lobby. read more

Stayed at the Westin Chicago River North and decided to stay in on Friday rather than fighting crowds in Chicago hot spots. Not a mistake. Started with happy hour house wines at $5 each. Decent reds. Dovile served us graciously and checked in from time to time, but in an unobtrusive way. Started with sharing avocado toast. Light, gluten free option. Split a huge caesar salad with chicken. My husband ordered the poke tacos which he happily shared. The lounge has great energy, yet feels relaxing. We stayed and unwound for a few hours, not feeling rushed at all. Thanks for the friendly service, Dovile. We look forward to returning. read more

Great view, nice patio. Had the soppressata flatbread which was decent, though the menu didn't offer that many good choices. Service, however, was subpar. Server didn't bother writing our orders down, so she had to come back a couple times because she forgot what we ordered... I don't think this place uses server books nor drink/food trays. Also i ordered water in the beginning and didn't get it till half an hour later... but as soon as it came there were disgusting lipstick marks on it. Lost my appetite immediately and left to another restaurant across the street. Don't think I'll be back again. read more

This place is ok, but with all of the choices in Chicago I'm not sure I would return. Positives: Great view, relaxing patio setting. Our server was also very nice. One person at our table ordered wings that they really enjoyed. Negatives: Drinks are overpriced and very mediocre. My table ordered a regular margarita, a basil margarita, a mojito and a mai thai. No one was wowed by their drink. Everything tasted like something we could have gotten at a dive bar and definitely not worth $12- $15. We also ordered fries that seemed stale. It did seem most people around us had beer and wine, so perhaps we should have followed their lead since those items are hard to mess up. We also spotted a cheese tray that looked good. So, this may be a place where you stick to the most basic menu items and enjoy the view. Bottom line: It's fine, but in a city with so many food options you can do better than fine. read more

This place was empty so we opted for here since City Winery and Tiny Tap were overcrowded. Service was extremely slow, after I finished my flatbread THEN our server brought out the Parmesan cheese I requested. Wings were a big soggy, not crispy. They brought out "ranch" with the wings and it tasted like a mix of mayo and nacho cheese... idk how you could mess that up!! Music playlist was the most random mix of early 2000's songs...do not go here if you are young and want a lively crowd!! read more

Disclaimer: we were only there for snacks and happy hour, so I don't know what the full bar experience was like. We stayed here over Christmas weekend. We hung out during happy hour both of the nights we stayed, and the bartender (kicking myself for not knowing his name) was so attentive and great. House wine was like $5.50 a glass during HH, which is a heck of a deal. Fries with aioli were awesome - huge portion and came out to us quickly. All of the food that others at the bar were ordering looked fantastic, so the next time we're here I'm definitely going to get a more substantial snack! read more

There are too many other bars in the area that are worth going to over this one. Maybe it's because they just opened up recently, but the service took forever and the drinks weren't that great. Sitting in the bar took forever for our drinks, and that's even when there weren't that many people in the bar on this rainy Friday. When we moved outside to the patio, it took even longer. I could barely taste the mezcal in the mezcal mai tai--- also had to repeat that I wanted the mezcal mai tai instead of a mai tai about 4 times to the bartender. The rum punch was better, but still nothing to write home about. The basil margarita was a bit too sweet. As far as food goes, I liked the burrata and tomato appetizer, and the spicy salame flatbread was pretty good. Good presentation on the burrata dish. I'd rather go to Raised across the street for a good view and awesome drinks and appetizers over returning here for mediocrity. read more
