Hothouse is located in the Doubletree Hilton on Ohio Street in downtown Chicago. It has the typical hotel restaurant offerings on their menu. I ordered a mushroom Swiss cheeseburger and it was very good. It came with a large serving of fries. Sadly, the restaurant did not have iced tea available at the time I was there. The server was very apologetic. Hothouse is located in the lobby area of the hotel and it is very busy. Casual dining.

We stayed at the HGV Chicago Magnificent Mile for our first visit to the Windy City. The hotel has an in-house restaurant (Hothouse). We decided to order off the menu for breakfast and I chose the chopsteak & eggs. It was tasty and came out super quick. Service was a little bit lacking as they seemed to be short handed and the hostess' nerves seemed frazzled by the number of patrons. Our server Ericka really turned it around for us with her desire to serve. She checked in on us and redeemed our experience. I really liked how accessible the power outlets were located at the backrest wall. Thank you Ericka!

We stayed at the Doubletree and ended up eating at Hothouse on our last night in Chicago! They had a good selection of drinks and food, and the service was absolutely exceptional! (Shout-out to Gustavo!) My prime steak was medium rare as requested and the fries were perfectly crispy but soft on the inside. The mashed potatoes had a great consistency and were nice and garlicy, and the pork chop was really juicy. It's located in the back of the lobby, but it was nice and cozy. I absolutely recommend!

My son and I came in on a Friday night around 6 PM to grab a quick bite to eat. When we arrived at the hotel to check in a couple hours earlier, we were greeted by Gustavo, who was full of energy and such a pleasant person. I mentioned my son had a severe peanut and tree nut allergy and inquired if the restaurant could accommodate us. He assured us that they could, and we would enjoy our food as it would be safe. Boy was he right! The server we had at dinner was Jose G and he gave the best service. My son ordered the steak and frites and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries, both were absolutely delicious. Portions were very large and reasonably priced! I especially loved that the steak was served with asparagus and then there was an additional plate of fries. It was a great deal at only $35! The ambience was pleasant, food was terrific but what really made our visit memorable was the great service by both Gustavo and Jose. A big thanks for making us feel safe & well taken care of

Knocking the classics out of the park which I did not expect for a hotel restaurant. You can sit and dine in the restaurant or take food (and drinks) up to your room which we did. The pizza was a nice thin crust that was perfectly crunchy with fresh tasting cheese and tomatoes. The burger was SO good and was stacked with fresh ingredients on a thick and well cooked patty. Finally the French onion soup was classically good. Jose was the best bartender in the business. All service was personal and chatty if desired but not over the top.

This is a nice restaurant inside the Doubletree Hotel that we had a bite at after checking in from a late flight. We were very hungry and stuffed by the time we finished our meal. Both the fish and chips (with a delicious sauce!) and Margherita flatbread are generous servings. The service here were also fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly and always checking in to see if we needed anything.

Located in the Doubletree Hotel, the cafe is open for breakfast, and it's very nice. You choose between ordering basic foods from the menu, or for about the same price, $24, you can have the buffet, which is a good American breakfast. Servers are helpful and keep the water glasses full. Along the wall are shelves of carryout breakfast foods and drinks. There is even a rack with some toiletries and drugstore items. Everything is convenient.

Got in later on a Friday night and planned on eating at the hotel restaurant. It did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and all of the staff were hustling as it was busy but they were very attentive. My husband saw others ordering the burger and decided to try it. He was very pleased with the burger and fries. I tried the fish and chips and was happy with my order. It had the perfect amount of breading (I was worried they'd be over breaded) and the garlic aioli was delicious served with it. My husband enjoyed a non alcoholic IPA and although I didn't order one tonight we were happy to see a zero proof section on their drink menu. I will be back tomorrow for a drink and likely dessert!

We stayed at this hotel and the breakfast was compted since we have a travel status. They had the best spread of a light cold breakfast.

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

The views are spectacular!! Look up and there are mirrors on the ceiling! Lots of cool photo ops! We enjoyed it here. There needs to be more organized seating all around the 360 because the place is packed. There are some tables closest to the Bar but not around the entire deck. You have to hold your drink the whole time and get bumped into. There is no obvious line at the bar and you accidentally go in front of other people who thought they were in line and they get upset. There are also mini bleachers where people were spilling their drinks because there was no place to put their drinks. The floor was sticky and wet. We got alcohol spilled on us from those climbing down the bleachers. Not a pleasant experience. The drinks were ok. My Magnificent Margarita was too sweet for my taste and it was a generous pour. My daughter had the Crossbeam and was able to select what she preferred. I should have done that one. The bartender was friendly and nice despite how busy he was. There are restrooms for men and women but the women's is not very big or wide. The line is mostly outside the restroom. It was tight in there. Would we go again? Yes.

That said, this place just completely disappointed. The food was just not good. I had the burger sliders and for $9 a piece you expect them to be something special. They were not. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. Service was friendly and I think the guy was new but it wasn't good enough for a place like that at the top of the building. There were two servers so I'm guessing one was training maybe. They didn't make it to my table to check to see if everything was okay while I was eating and it even took them a while to notice that I was done eating.
