Stayed two nights here, had total five meals include two breakfast, one late lunch, one late dinner, and one room service. ETA only has the breakfast service then the lobby cover the whole day till 11pm. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. My teen ordered the Chicago breakfast two times in a row. I switched between steak/egg and Parfait with croissants. Both were really good. For lunch or dinner, I recommend the lobster roll which was not too creamy but with the decent meat and mixed well with chopped celery and dill. Just the way I liked. Brussels sprouts with Shinto peppers was another my favorite. Just a good combination with an Asian sweet glaze over them. Services were really to the point. The manager was visiting every table to make sure folks are taken care of. read more

Breakfast at the hotel is usually standard. You have your staple choices of continental and your next level of combinations. Needless to say, it was a nice benefit to have breakfast included throughout our stay. Love that they do reservations l, which helps during peak hours. In terms of service wise, some were stellar while others fell short with a few request. While not a big ordeal but it did take one back a bit about expectations with hotel restaurants. It was nice when greeted at the door and lead to a decent size dinning area with a full bar. While food overall isn't spectacular, it meets expectations and does the job before you go on with your day. We didn't have the chance to try dinner there but maybe next time. read more

During our last stay, we spent a lot of time at ETA for cocktails, snacks and even dessert. Cocktails and wine were excellent and the perfect after exploring the city each night. Snack wise we got wings, fries and even veggies. All cooked well, came out hot and tasty! Lastly, we got dessert, an apple streusel pie, which was an extra sweet way to follow up a good gin and tonic! Service at the bar was excellent each evening we visited. Since I was staying at the hotel, I came here for breakfast each day. They have a variety of breakfast items including bowls, salmon toast, Benedict's, omelettes, etc. I tried the veggie skillet and shashouka. The veggie skillet was a bowl with smashed potatoes, variety of veggies, and topped with fluffy egg whites. It also came with a side of verde salsa. I could have used less potatoes which made the dish on the saltier side but all the veggies were good and the eggs were so fluffy. The shashouka was also really good which was a mix of tomatoes and chickpeas topped with fluffy eggs with a side of sourdough. The cappuccino was also decent. Also loved their pastries. The coco hazelnut croissant was amazing and actually had filling. The cookies were also delicious and flaky between the chocolate pecan one and espresso chocolate one. read more

My friend and I came to catch up and celebrate her birthday. We just relaxed in the beautiful lobby together. Victor took great care of us! He gave helpful recommendations from the food portion of the menu as well as cocktails. We had the buffalo cauliflower, queso fundido, and steak frites. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection! My friend said it best: the steak was the best she's ever had (and I agree!)!! Chef's kiss! Victor helped us to decide which cocktails to get... the birthday girl enjoyed the Very Berry cocktail and I had the Walk Along the Riverwalk, which was a peach dream. I think it's unfair to hold the bar super high for hotel food, even in a great hotel like Loews. So ETA definitely raised the bar for my expectations moving forward-this place delivered delicious breakfasts on both days, courteous service, and a relaxed atmospheric in a strange kind of yellow twilight tone they have set up in there. Doesn't jar you awake with brightness, but doesn't leave you in the dark either. One day I had the smoked salmon bagel sandwich, served with a generous portion of smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, and red onion. The other day I had the protein shakshouka-fried eggs atop a chickpea and tomato sauce with arugula on the bottom. Both were excellent portions, properly seasoned, and delicious. Coffee and juices were good too, and we also had a bowl of fresh berries. Excellent quality and delicious. All around, this made our stay at Loews much more pleasant, being able to go downstairs and have a great breakfast on site. Highly recommended. read more

This was our breakfast spot. Cozy midsize Resturant and bar located in the Loews hotel. No wait time during the week or Saturday. Avocado toast without kale or egg. I was glad I was able to order it to my liking. One morning it was served with everything but the bagel seasoning. Steak top with chimichurri, potatoes and eggs with side toast. Located inside the Lowe's hotel in Streeterville. Beautiful decorated. They are open for breakfast but on Friday and Saturday they open for dinner too. I highly recommend the chorizo skillet, my hubby and I split that and the portions were very generous to share. Service was great and the coffee was hot, the only thing I wish they had was French vanilla creamer, but the waiter brought out maple syrup and that made a nice substitute. read more

We had the absolute best drinks and amazing service from our Bartender Ro at ETA inside Loews's hotel. He was friendly, knowledgeable and seriously pours an amazing cocktail. He respected my allergies and made me a special "peach martini" and everyone loved it! It was exquisite. The vibe on the ETA side is upscale and intimate, there is also a bar on the opposite side in the lobby that is more casual. Went to ETA for valentines dinner here's my review: Parking - Site says $8 for up to 6 hours at AMC River East....that's just not true. They don't validate and neither does the hotel unless your a guest. Ended up paying $40 for 2 hours.....smh Atmosphere here was very chill. It wasn't too busy, the staff was extremely attentive and everyone was pleasant. Not a huge menu but has a decent amount of choices and pricing is average. 48 hr short rib - Very tender and flavorful highly recommend Everything chicken - Very tender, good value for the amount of food you get (half a chicken) French fries - Description made them sound incredible but they were pretty disappointing. Lacked flavor and not salted enough. Sauce is similar to animal sauce from in and out Tres Leches - Took one bite and had it taken back. Cake was soaked in liquor, didn't taste anything like tres leches. Passion fruit sauce was really overwhelming. Just all around a unpleasant surprise of flavors. Would not recommend this dessert In my opinion presentation of dishes is a little odd, everything is off center and on one side of the plate. Definitely think it would look more appealing and would be easier to eat if it was centered. read more

Got the avocado toast for breakfast. The avocado was nice and ripe but i think the whole thing could've used a little more flavor. Good amount of smoked salmon and the side salad had a pretty nice (and light) dressing. Not bad if you're staying in the hotel but might not be worth it for breakfast if you're staying elsewhere. read more

We were staying at the hotel and decided to pop down for their "social hour" - half off drinks and appetizers. We asked if they had a kids menu and they handed us one but said the restaurant didn't officially open until 5:30 but they were sure they could whip something up for her. The service was great! We were greeted with a smile as soon as we sat down and the drinks were delicious!! Both my husband and I went with the burger - at happy hour it was a STEAL at $9. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese and it was absolutely delicious. She couldn't finish her portion so my husband and I happily gobbled it up. What a strange experience: this place has the makings of what could be a great setting, great food, and a cozy upscale restaurant....but no one was here?! We had dinner for six, and the place was empty. Service was super slow, disorganized, and things just felt off. The happy hour at ETA is amazing. With half priced draughts and cheap apps, I was able to leave full and nicely buzzed for under $20. The space at ETA feels classy and refined, and it's a fun and comfortable place to spend the afternoon. Their beer selection was fairly decent, and it looked like they have some nice cocktail offerings as well. I'm not a wino, so I won't venture an opinion on that, but they do have a whole glass wall of wines, so I'm sure they have some good ones. But I'm writing this review because ETA absolutely destroyed me with mussels. They gave me more mussels in my $8 (or $9, I forget) appetizer than I think I've ever seen in one place in my life. A savage, reckless amount... had to be at least 30+. And despite the insane quantity, they were still really good! The grilled sourdough and sauce they were served with were a great pairing. I will 1000% be back for these again, and highly recommend checking it out for yourself if you're in the area. read more

Reserved this for a high school reunion for 6 people, it was the only nice restaurant + bar with open reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night--when the NFL playoffs were going on. The ambience was very cozy and even with a longer table we were able to hear each other and hold intimate conversations well. All the ladies in the party ordered the Brussel sprouts salad which was decent. I added chicken to mine and it was an extra seven dollars and a little dry, but the salad itself was good. All the gentlemen in the group ordered burgers and they all liked their choice. I would recommend this place for a group gathering for the atmosphere! read more

Meh. Came here with a group dinner for work and was underwhelmed. Even being greeted was just an "oh, yeah, your group is down that all and in those doors." Appetizers (sliders and cheese/meats) was fine, nothing remarkable. They did have prosecco as one of the options for wine, which I don't see very often (not sure if that's ETA's doing or if our group coordinator arranged that). They even had prosecco wine glasses. The food was served family style, but just placed on the table with little explanation as to what each item was (we spent time trying to guess/figure out what everything was). On occasion we got a very whispered explanation from the server, but unless you were right next to him you couldn't hear it. The food came out lukewarm at best, the only thing that was hot I think was the Brussels sprouts. The flavors weren't great, either. The turkey we had was dry, the short rib was a bit undercooked by some standards (though flavorful), and the bucatini had some weird spice in it. Really enjoyed dinner here at ETA. It's a restaurant in the LOEW hotel. They have Burger of the Month for $15. This week's Ozzy Burger was absolutely delicious! Sloppy lettuce, prairie cheddar cheese, thousand island sauce, and bacon on top of two patties with lightly toasted buns. I was pleasantly surprised how well made it was! The chicken fried mushrooms weren't shabby either. Just wish the green beans weren't pickled, but that's my preference. I would recommend stopping on a movie night to AMC River East! read more

We were staying at Loews so we came here for dinner last night and breakfast this morning. I probably would've left 5 stars if I had only been to dinner last night because the service and the food were amazing. As for breakfast this morning, the food was still consistently good, but the service was much different/a lot slower and not as attentive as it had been last night. I think all the employees here should probably follow the example of the waiter from last night. For dinner, we had the the Brussels sprout Caesar salad, the chicken & dumplings, and the braised short rib. We also ordered a bottle of wine as well. The meal came with a serving of complimentary bread and butter. The Brussels sprout Caesar salad was AMAZING. It took plain Caesar salad to another level with the warm, perfectly cooked Brussels sprouts and herbed Caesar dressing. The chicken was very tender and the short ribs were tender as well. Overall, a very nice dinner although it was slightly pricey. For breakfast, we had the salmon Benedict, steak & eggs, and breakfast bento box which came with 2 pastries. I also ordered a blueberry merlot herbal tea which was pretty good. The food was very consistent; both times we came, it has been very good and good quality as well. Again, it is slightly on the pricey side, but at least the food is pretty good. Definitely recommend this place especially if you're staying at this hotel and have dining/breakfast credits. read more

Had breakfast stay in this hotel lobby restaurant while there for an overnight. We had the eggs benedict, side of bacon, a bloody mary, and steak and eggs breakfast. Service was excellent. Our waiter was great and personable. I would give this a 5-star if the food was perfect. I enjoyed all of it, but one of the eggs on my eggs benedict was overcooked. I don't mind because I am not the biggest fan of runny eggs, but someone who is would not have been pleased. I had one runny and one soft poached. Although the bacon was good quality, it was limp and undercooked. The traditional eggs benedict had arugula added which was different and the peppery arugula was a nice touch. The potatoes were smashed red potatoes that were very crisp and delightful. I'd definitely have breakfast here again. read more
