Costly, but one pays for atmosphere on any rooftop. Staff - classy and fun. View - decent. If you're going to splurge on one rooftop, go elsewhere. If it's a collective that's the goal, add NOMI.

We stayed 2 nights at the park hyatt and heard great things about Nomi so we had to make time to stop by. Unfortunately, the Nomi restaurant is closed on Monday during lunch time, but they serve a similar menu in the lounge. After a weekend of midwest dining, I was craving vegetables and something lighter. Luckily, compared to our other options they had some salads here. I was able to get the fish sandwhich (it was delicious), a blueberry smoothie with oat milk, and a salad. All the dishes were presented very beautifully. Despite being still full from an Alinea dinner the night before, I still enjoyed dining here.

Food: 3 Decor: 4 Service: 4 3.5 stars, rounding down. My gf and I came here for lunch since I bought Gilt City vouchers. Valet is $14 for 4 hours with Nomi validation. 1. Mushroom soup http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/U61dQB9LDZsdXciTZqirag?select=XSEb-o9l516SNYwI17juCw Pretty good. Strong mushroom flavor, and the goat cheese was really strong. Not a big fan of either though. 2. 800 Burger http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/U61dQB9LDZsdXciTZqirag?select=Xx2l3HCaZ05d1i1UYRLbhg Not bad. The burger was huge and came with sun-dried tomatoes, onions, arugala, and cheese. I could only eat about half. Fries were mediocre. 3. Pistachio tart http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/U61dQB9LDZsdXciTZqirag?select=FFPUY6JqUTpIVxnTPV0DCA So-so. Not a big fan of tarts, and this one was huge. My gf really liked it though. Overall, I thought the food was just okay. Service was mixed. Our server was nice and brought nice bags for our food to go http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/U61dQB9LDZsdXciTZqirag?select=aN3Tit_AuQmI14G9ogS11A. However, there were dish timing issues (we waited 30-40 minutes for our first course, and the second course came before we were done with the first), and we had to ask for ketchup.

Beautiful summer night to enjoy on this rooftop with great fresh sushi and a glass of wine.

It was a birthday event that we decided to have dinner here. Of course the city view, the lights, the skyscrapers are one of the best parts of this rooftop. The service needs to improve. There is not much attendance from your waiter, and you have to wait a while to get their attention. Not something that is too attractive, especially when you are spending hundreds of dollars on a simple dinner. The sushi is great. It is fresh, with simple ingredients. Nothing heavy. Great presentation.

We had a couple of frozen wine drinks, and also a flat bread appetizer that was quite yummy. The drinks were cool and refreshing, although not very alcoholic. The location was amazing, the rooftop is everything I read about and more. Our waiter was wonderful, kept an eye on is although it was quite crowded.

Great place for drinks and a beautiful view. Rooftop at the Hyatt. It's close to Michigan Avenue and a good place for out-of-towners to hang out. I like coming here when most of the tourists are gone and I can hang with locals. Come on a Monday evening in September when it's not so crowded. Otherwise this place is always packed so plan accordingly.

That said, this place just completely disappointed. The food was just not good. I had the burger sliders and for $9 a piece you expect them to be something special. They were not. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. Service was friendly and I think the guy was new but it wasn't good enough for a place like that at the top of the building. There were two servers so I'm guessing one was training maybe. They didn't make it to my table to check to see if everything was okay while I was eating and it even took them a while to notice that I was done eating. It's was slow so I don't think they were stressing with too many tables. That kind of place should knock your socks off - but it was on the low end of mediocre. I wouldn't go there again for food. Maybe it's a decent place to go to the bar but since I don't drink I can't help much on that end.

For food, they offer some "bites" but I've not tried them. Our server was fine, nothing special. I can't remember ever having bad service here.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.
