I didn't even know this cafe existed as it tucked away in a corner. They have a lot of seating and decent food and coffee options. We got the falafel bowl, chicken sandwich and couple other food options and some lattes for the table. The service was fast, prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were decent too.

Really delicious breakfast, coffee, and pastries! Getting a table on a weekend morning can take a long time, but eventually we opted to sit at the bar and we got to order very quickly. The food came out really fast too! I absolutely loved my latte and the classic breakfast was perfect and filling. I got their fruit danishes to-go and those were also fantastic. Our server Izzy was the best!

I have come here to try the cafe twice and it's not my vibe. With the prices they have, you would assume that the coffee or options would be a little bit better. I need to come back and try the food here to give it a higher rating but the quality and prices of the drinks were not a fit for my taste.

Great for any meal breakfast, lunch or dinner modern American fare with full bar and large selection of spirits and beers. Super friendly service and nice breakfast menu. Attached to Hilton hotel. Great for coffee and a pastry too! Or happy hour!

The food was pretty good; the service not so much. Ordering a cocktail, we asked the server to make sure there was ony one ice cube; it came filled with ice. Service was slow despite it not being very full. We told her several times we had tickets to a 7 p.m. show. It still took about 30 minutes for dinner to arrive and wehad to rush through the meal. The food was fin, the service not so much.

Finally made it to Chapel Street, the Australian-style café I've been meaning to check out for a while, mostly because Australian food isn't something you see every day. I stopped in during a workday lunch while doing some Christmas shopping, and it was pretty empty, which made it easy to grab a seat at the bar. The bartender was super chill and took the time to walk me through the menu and explain the special. I ended up going with the Australian-style Chicken Parm, which came with a free beer. For under $30 total after tip, felt like an awesome deal. The Chicken Parm portion was huge and really good, and it came with fries and a side salad. Everything hit--fries were great, beer was great, salad was solid, and the service was excellent. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back, especially for more of a dinner sit-down vibe rather than just a solo lunch at the bar. Definitely worth checking out if you're curious about Chapel Street.

This is probably my favorite restaurant of 2025 of new places I've tried and it's almost the end of the year which is crazy!!!! Phenomenal food! TENS ACROSS THE BOARD! Staff was friendly! I had an amazing recommendation from (Tracy) I believe was his name not sure if I spelled it right. However the smash burger he recommended was indeed the best burger I've ever had! I also tried a mocha because they roast their coffee on goose island which is right in Chicago! Very delicious and unique, it was a perfect cup of coffee. Not too heavy which I like! When I come back I look forward to the friendly staff and more dishes to try as well as the coffee! Atmosphere was also very peaceful and cozy! Beautiful restaurant and amazing food!

Chapel Street is a charming, quaint restaurant connected to the Hilton Magnificent Mile Suites. I stopped in for a latte and a pastry and had a very nice experience. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food) Atmosphere - Chapel Street is warm and welcoming. It's connected to the Hilton's bar, but it functions as its own restaurant. There are tables and bench seating, and it has modern décor. My Chapel Street's main attraction is the open kitchen. You can watch the expert team whip up your breakfast while you wait. 1 Star. Service - In my early Monday morning visit, Chapel Street hand a single server for a handful of customers, but there were no delays at all. Service was great and I had no issues. Heads up - they automatically add a 20% service charge to your bill. I think this is the "hotel tax". Good thing the service was great. 1 Star. Food - Full disclosure - I paid Chapel Street a visit for coffee because the coffee in my hotel room was NOT good. Good thing the latte I ordered was good. It was nice a smooth and even had some nice latte art. I paired it with a Kouign-Amann. The pastries are not made in house, because it was a bit cold (like it came from a fridge). However, it was delicious, flaky, and had the signature caramel flavor that paired perfectly with my latte. There's much more on the menu but for me, it was coffee and a pastry. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Probably not. I came here searching for good coffee in my hotel, while my visit was positive, it's only a one-time thing. I'm sure I can find similar or better options within a few blocks. No Star.

Chapel Street Cafe is conveniently located near my school, so I decided to finally check them out. They weren't very busy when I came on a Thursday afternoon, and the wait staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, their barista was not in, so I was not able to order any of their special seasonal drinks. I ordered a matcha latte and croissant. The cost was fairly standard (still overpriced but who isn't these days?), but the quality was pretty bad. The matcha just tasted like milk, and the croissant was incredibly dry. I ended up tossing out both after only a few sips / bites. The one plus is that I quite liked the ambiance. There was a lot of seating, and it seemed like it could be a good environment for studying. However, they're also a mix of waiter service and quick service, so it could be looked down upon--I'll have to assess if I choose to come back.

Loved the food, hated the service. Scrambled eggs on sourdough toast was perfect and I liked the breakfast potatoes. I also got their seasonal cardamom nut latte and they definitely have the ability to just do a cardamom latte without all the berries and nut flavorings, but they said they couldn't. The waiter also told me that the berry dust on top was just dust with no flavor when I asked to not have it on my latte and I said okay sure, but it had such a strong berry taste. Anyways my guy was just not having it. Also, for some reason we got our food after a bit and no coffees or drinks until we asked after we had gotten our food and then they made our drinks. tldr: service is a 1/5, food and drinks are a 4.5/5

Chapel Street Café & Restaurant, located inside the Hilton Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile on Delaware Street, is an absolute gem. The space offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and each option provides a delightful experience--charming, relaxed, and welcoming. The service was wonderful. Our server, Nelson, took excellent care of us, and the rest of the team was equally attentive and friendly. They made sure our evening was seamless and truly enjoyable. The food was outstanding. My husband ordered his favorite--Bolognese spaghetti--and was beyond happy with it. I chose the truffle mushroom risotto, which was rich, flavorful, and generously portioned (so much so that I was able to share some with him, much to his delight). To top it off, I enjoyed a pot of Jasmine tea that tasted like flowers--absolutely perfect for me. Chapel Street offers something for everyone, whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their schedule makes it easy: * Breakfast: 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM * Lunch: 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM * Dinner: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM * Happy Hour: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM * Bar: open until 11:00 PM This spot is a wonderful choice for a casual meal, a date night, or simply enjoying a well-made dish in a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

First off, if you're looking for amazing coffee prepared with the love and detail of an Australian Cafe, this is your spot. I'm only reviewing the coffee bar, not the restaurant/cafe side. I had no idea this was attached to the Magnificent Mile Hilton! I got one of the new fall seasonal drinks called "Frankly My Dear I Don't Give An Autumn." It's an Iced Espresso Tonic with Lime. It was stupendous! Perfectly tart with a slight sweetness. I'm usually a black coffee guy, but sometimes I can get taken out of my shell! My partner got a Flat White. It was stunning. The only other Flat White in the US I've had that compares with this one is at a NYC Australian Cafe called Little Collins. We tried a Kouign Amann as well. It was ok, I'd skip it next time.

Got a flat white and meat pie. On paper it's an average drink and bite but in practice it was great! Flat white was so smooth and flavorful. Prob the best flat white I've had in Chicago. The meat pie was really good too but just wish I got some ketchup for the full Aussie experience! Crust was flaky, filing has generous portions of meat, and it was filling! Want to come back again.

It was within walking distance ... did I mention it was raining that night? And I was hangry? I was game for anything at that point. We arrived and waited probably four minutes for a table. All the meals were outstanding (a sliced brisket sandwich, some wings, chicken tenders, onion rings and a burger). Service was great. It was a little loud when we first arrived as there was an intense Illinois State basketball game on but as soon as the game ended, it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our meal at Jake's!

Truthfully, I really just wanted to see what that would entail because it seemed a little disgusting or maybe even some kind of high-food, but to my surprise, it was actually a really crispy skinned pizza roll. I'm pretty sure it had been previously frozen, but in that moment- served with a side of marinara, I didn't really care. It was full of gooey melted mozzarella cheese and almost like a breaded chicken nugget center. Pretty decent as far as bar food goes. They also had crab rangoon to which I thought, "hmm are they doing a little too much?!" I'm sure drunk me would have gotten them years ago so what can ya do. Overall, quite a positive experience. The first thing I noticed walking in was the ambiance. Nice decor with a city hotspot feel. We had a teen and tween with us and both found something on the menu. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich which he devoured and my daughter had a quesadilla which they prepared especially for her without any sauce. Everything was tasty. We had a problem with our order when my daughter found a small piece of plastic wrapper in her food. We told our waiter and he immediately informed management. Despite the minor glitch, this place deserves 5 stars for the way they handled this issue. We feel they went above and beyond to remedy the situation.
