Bloody Mary Chicago dog / Maxwell polish
    Anna T.

Very cute spot along the riverwalk! Service was very fast, brought my dog and gf a great view! I got a Bloody Mary to drink, this was good! To eat I got the half Chicago dog/half Maxwell polish. This was amazing! It is up there for top Chicago dogs! The Maxwell was great too, full of flavor! I will be back!

This place is a tourist trap. The drinks are very expensive even for one of the riverside establishments. We tried to get tap water with our drinks but we're told they only had bottle water which was $3.50 a bottle. My friend and I checked and restaurants serving food in Chicago have to have potable water and aren't allowed to refuse you access to it. When we talked to the manager he said they were classified as a venue so didnt have to provide that service. I would suggest going down less than 4 mins further east to The Northman Beer garden. Their drinks were 1 to 2 dollars cheaper and they did have complimentary water with the same view of the riverside.

Chicago Street Food - share plates and ambiance was fun! Mom and I took an adventurous walk on the beautiful Chicago River walk. It was amazing especially as the lights were all coming on around us in the city . We walked past a lot of restaurants and we got to this one and the vibes we spectacular! Great charcuterie board and salad for mom. Great service too . We had a wonderful meal and surrounded by lovely people . Highly recommend!!!

Surprisingly good! We wanted a view and we got it for the price of two drinks and a chips and guac. This place is perfect for people watching and playing "are they dating or just friends?" Overall, I recommend getting a drink here after work or on a sunny saturday. It's pricey because its the river walk--nothing you can do about it. Our host seemed to be a bit high but still functioning at least lol. -AD

While walking along the Riverwalk, I stopped by Chicago Brewhouse for a quick drink and to enjoy the nice weather and river view. Only had one drink on this visit, but I really enjoyed it. Service was a little slow, but they seemed a bit understaffed, so it was very understandable. One thing that caught my eye was how many people were ordering their hot dogs, which definitely piqued my interest and gave me a reason to come back next time! Great spot for a drink with a view!

This is definitely a spot you come to for the view! It's right on the river, and perfect for sitting outside, sipping a beer, and watching the boats go by. They have a large selection of beers and a decent food menu. It's not a culinary masterpiece, but it's exactly what you'd expect from a relaxed riverside hangout. My server was super friendly and really added to the laid-back vibe. Overall, a great place to unwind with a drink and take in the scenery.

    Frozen Irish Coffee

I did enjoy my lunch inside today. I had the Frozen Irish Coffee that was fine. It was followed up by Maxwell Street Chicago Style which was a Polish and Vienna beef dogs all on one bun. I would have liked more condiments that are found at the ballparks but it did taste good. It was also accompanied with homemade potato chips. Service was good. Very few people were inside as it was beautiful outside on the patio. Nice place to visit.

    Pilsner Street Tacos

We walked the Riverwalk and stopped along the way. We were seated quickly outside and our service was fast. The street tacos were a generous portion and the flatbread had a thicker dough - more like Detroit style. The food was not just ok. We also had the Spiteful Bleacher Bum blonde ale that was tasty. Nice spot along the river to watch all the boats go by.

Great casual restaurant to spend a summer day. The turkey bacon avocado wrap was delicious, and the view was unbeatable. Service was very attentive. Slower on a Monday , but still busy.

We decided to stop off here because it was raining and try some beer. There's plenty of beer options, and very little food options. There's a ton of outdoor seating with beautiful views and umbrellas over tables. There also seemed to be quite a few servers which was strange for the place not being that big...big enough for the amount of servers I saw. My gal ordered the Italian beef and she said it was good, not as good as some around the city we've tried but she wasn't disappointed. I only took 1 bite and got a beer. There's QR codes on the tables as well to look at the menu. Cool spot to kill some time I reckon, with the drink options and scenery outside when not poor weather

    Forbidden Root Strawberry Basil Hefeweizen

Churros were good as was my Forbidden Root Strawberry Basil Hefeweizen. But the star is the view and the people watching. Overcast day and the view was still fantastic. For the view, the prices are decent.

Our visit was alright! They have a good selection of beer, but the food is average. The food came out extremely fast, which isn't always a great thing. I had the southwest quinoa wrap and it was very dry and bland. I asked for a sauce to add to it which helped. Despite this, we did enjoy the crab wontons and chips and guacamole. Being on the beautiful river walk made the experience enjoyable, definitely come for the prime location on the Chicago River, and some drinks and apps!

    Jumbo pretzel
    Trish L.

After walking along the Riverwalk for a while, we decided we could go for a few drinks and apps. We stopped at the Chicago Brewhouse because it was right along the water, had outdoor seating available, and a decent beer selection. The food menu and pricing was as expected for the location. It wasn't cheap, but wasn't too expensive either. We ordered the jumbo pretzel and gyro sliders. Neither were anything to write home about, but were ok for pre dinner snacks. The gyro sliders needed some more flavor and the pretzel needed some more cheese on the side. Both came out hot, though, and pretty quickly considering how busy they were. Sitting outside was the move. We had an umbrella, a breeze, and the ability to people watch everyone going up and down the Riverwalk. Our server was very friendly, despite being so busy running from table to table. I'd recommend it for at least drinks and the ambiance.

It feels upscale but still comfortable. Service was attentive and paced well, especially considering it was Restaurant Week and fairly busy. The Restaurant Week menu offered a great variety. We started with the crispy arancini, which were perfectly golden on the outside and creamy inside with a rich glaze that added a nice depth of flavor. The wild mushroom risotto had great earthy flavor and was very rich, definitely a heavier dish but satisfying if you are in the mood for something indulgent. The gnocchi were soft and pillowy with fresh basil and roasted tomatoes that brightened the dish nicely. For entrées, the filet mignon was cooked beautifully, tender and medium rare with a flavorful sauce that complemented it well. The chicken parmesan had a solid crisp and good seasoning, though it leaned more classic than standout. Portions overall felt fair for the prix fixe price. Dessert was a sweet finish. The tiramisu was light, creamy, and not overly heavy, which we appreciated. Overall, 4 stars. Great ambiance and solid execution across the board. While nothing completely blew us away, it was a well done Restaurant Week experience and I would definitely come back to try more from their regular menu.
