Adam's Street Brewery is a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat while exploring downtown Chicago. This place is very festive around the holidays. Decked out in Christmas decorations and Santa Claus walking around visiting everybody. A full service bar with plenty of beers on tap. A very German inspired menu with different kinds of sausages and bratwurst's available.

I stopped here for a drink before heading to dinner. They had a great beer selection and even some food options from The Berghoff next door. There was a ton of space; this would be a great spot for groups!

Cozy brewery in the heart of the loop. Very large bar with in house beers makes this spot a hidden gem. Friendly wait staff and good prices for the beers :) Pro Tip: don't sleep on the root beer which is also brewed by Berghoff

No complaints from me about Adams Street Brewery. The atmosphere is rich with heavy wood surfaces, well-preserved from centuries past. A little low volume music and this place is pretty peaceful Beers on tap and presumably brewed by the restaurant we're all satisfying. The pork chop was tasty and filling! Service warmed up after a few minutes and was friendly and helpful.

Max loves German food and we were pleased to see this brewery attached to a German restaurant. Max was all in for a beer. I'm not a beer lover, but I did see root beer on the menu. They make their own. I'm not much of a carbonated drink lover, but I chugged that root beer like I was trying to win a contest at a frat party. It really quenched the thirst. Seating around the bar is plentiful, and they even have hooks under the bar top for your bag. We are coming back for dinner, we just aren't sure if it will be back at the bar, or maybe we will sit at a table.

So, I'm not quite sure how it works between the Adams Street Brewery and The Berghoff Restaurant. They appear to be one in the same (more or less). I checked in under the brewery, so here we are. I found this to be a cozy spot in downtown Chicago to grab a few beers and a bite to eat. I thought they had a solid selection of craft beer. The food was also spot on. There is plenty of seating and the service wasn't bad. I'd come back.

This place was neat inside. The beer wasn't to my taste but we all built flights and appreciated a few of the pours. The place was packed due to Chicago Marathon weekend and it seemed like there was one server for a ton of tables. She did an awesome job running around trying to take all the orders and get food out. My friend got a grilled chicken salad that looked fabulous and she loved it. The rest of us got sandwiches and they were fine nothing super exciting. There were no fries just chips- kinda a hummer but we survived. The restaurant did graciously give runners of the marathon a $5 pretzel discount and the pretzel was yummy!

The less formal side of Berghoff. We stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the Cuban sandwich which was really great with their pork jus. My friend had a Ruben and said it was great. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us a rundown of who was in the portraits and good choices on the menu. I will come back on my next trip!

Great Beer. Great food, beautiful atmosphere. A lot of history will definitely be back.

Adams Street Brewery is both a pub and brewery. It's actually a part of The Berghoff Restaurant. Sit at the bar and you can get beer and order food too. Lots of their own beers and many guests. The food is rather uninteresting. It has a pretty long history in the area. Something that has even more history is the restaurant this is brewed in. The Berghoff is a classic and looks like it's been here a long time. Forget about the food. What's much better is what's on tap. I was sure to try a beer. Last time here it was a Helles Lager, a best seller. It's $7 for a pint. This is very clean looking and smooth. Also check out The Berghoff food menu. It basically is typical stuff at a pub. The food isn't all that impressive but the atmosphere is classic and you can find some pretty good things.

Sausages with cabbage. Baked cheese balls. German beer.

The first time I was here was four years ago, and the second time was last week. I have to say, this is a great place with really delicious beer and tasty food to go with it. The furniture has an old-style design. You can also watch sports events here. Great bar

It was upstairs in the building and had a great brewery vibe - laid back and fun. The decor had a big giant furry creature (the giant from the name) doing all kinds of different things like climbing buildings and posing with farmers, such a great touch! There was a bar to sit at when you first walked in and there seemed to be lots of locals, which is always a great sign. I was hungry so we decided to get a table. The server was friendly and I was so excited when I saw they had flights! I love flights because you can try lots of different beers in one sitting. They also had traditional bar snacks like wings and nachos and other sandwiches including hamburgers. It all looked good but I was feeling a salad and had the chopped salad. It was fresh and filling. Paid with my beer flight, it was a great experience! I would definitely recommend Crushed by Giants for a beer and some snacks!

Checked out this hip looking brewery. Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.

My wife came across a special event OG Brewery was having. It was an oyster bake for $200. Upon arrival, the brewery looked aesthetic and trendy. When we arrived, we had a small line but everyone got in quickly. Almost every table was taken. Most people were trying to enjoy the outside weather. The band was waaaaay to loud. We had to yell, as did everyone else, to talk. Great if it's a nightclub, not good for a smaller dining area midday. We asked a couple if we could sit next to them and share a table, turned out to be someone I knew from college lol! We went up and grabbed a few oysters, soup, fish and chips, and green beans. The food was terrible. Not one person at our table or anyone else we talked to or overheard, enjoyed the food either. They ran out of, or stopped serving, oysters way to quickly. It almost seemed they resorted to canned oysters after the first hour or two (purely speculation). We did get a small Guinness included with our entry which was good. They do sell more varieties of Guinness than I've ever seen before! They were serving one of their own beers to try. It was very floral. If you like that type of taste I think you will love it, but it wasn't ours. No one finished their beer. The one bright spot were the bus staff and server. They were fast and friendly. Overall, this event was a major let down. I can't recommend OG Brewery, as much as I had high hopes. The $200 admission was insane for the quality of food, and lack of quantity of food. If you are going to charge premium fees for an event, make sure you follow through! And for the love of god, teach the band about sound levels!
