Very cool community space with a wide assortment of beverages and bar food. We came to watch the World Cup and there was plenty of seating and good vibes. Service was helpful and friendly and the beers ranged from classic to adventurous (like a dill or wild lacto strawberry). It's a bit off the main drag so parking was easy.
My friends and I came to Mars for a book club meeting and wow, it was such a vibe. I did not expect to like it this much. The area initially threw me off a bit. It is surrounded by factories and buildings that look a little abandoned, so it feels a little sketchy pulling up. But once you walk inside, it is a completely different experience. The space is beautiful, with a great layout, a central bar, and plenty of seating. It is mostly seat yourself, and you order drinks at the bar, but they do bring food out to you and clear your table. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain how everything works, which I appreciated. Now the food. So good. I have had a favorite taco spot for the past few months, but this place honestly raised the bar. They are known for their fried cheese tacos and they absolutely live up to the hype. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce reminded me of a seafood boil, rich and flavorful. The salsa verde was also great. I also had the fries topped with fried cheese, cilantro, and onions, and they were just as good. Everything smelled amazing and everyone at the table loved their food. One thing I really loved is their drink options. They have great cocktails, but also offer well crafted mocktails that feel just as intentional. On top of that, they have THC and CBD drinks, which really adds to the relaxed, laid back vibe. Overall, it is a great place to sit, hang out, and enjoy good food and drinks for as long as you want. I will definitely be back.
Marz has a wide range of offerings, from beers and cocktails to sodas and NA options. Their food is always good. The OKC smash burger with grilled onions is standout. It's thoughtfully assembled and packed with flavor in every bite. The fries could be more interesting, but that's a minor nitpick. The steak tacos are well-seasoned, and the house-made salsas complement them perfectly. Free parking, retro arcade games, and events almost every night, like trivia, music bingo, and even Sunday yoga, make this awesome spot.
Tacos are AMAZING here. They are made fresh and hot. Be careful not to burn your tongue. The cheese is crispy and pan-fried to the tortilla. They give you a lot of the ingredients so it's hard to fold it and eat it. Get a fork! It spills out on your plate. The sauces that come with it adds that kick and extra flavor. I personally like the steak better than the chicken, but both are still good. Their smash burger is good too and it's a double patty. It's more on the salty side so make sure you get that drink on the side! I had the honey water and it tastes like kombucha. I had the Korean roasted barley drink which was very unique and different. I'm use to drinking the flavor as a hot tea so having it in a sparkling beverage form blew my mind bc it was so different. Not sure how I feel about it tbh.
This bar has become a staple! From fun theme nights to excellent brews- this is a great little brewery. While the service can lean a bit slow, the taste of everything makes up for it. I was there on a Tuesday for loteria night and they had amazing chocoflan for sale as well. The loteria was fast paced, fun to play, and had TONS of prizes. They host magic the gathering night on Thursdays where you can play others or your own group as well. They have a great selection of beer and awesome smash burgers! If you are going for the burgers- note that on days they have pop up vendors (check instagram) they will not serve their typical menu. I look forward to returning for more events.
We stopped in for a quick drink before heading out of Chicago. We are happy we did. I got a michalittle and he got a few tastes of beer. We ordered the burger and it had grilled cheese on it. It was super cheesy and full of flavor. The double smash burger was filling and great for the price. It comes with fries and they taste just like McDonalds fries, we loved them! I wish we had found this place sooner or lived in Chicago. We would be regulars!
Went during Oktoberfest and got to witness a hilarious polish sausage eating contest and sampled some brats. I can't say I loved the sausage because the kimchi it came with tasted alittle off but I did love the potato salad. When it comes to the beers I love their huge variety including THC drinks. THEY ARE DELICIOUS. Would recommend the Half and Half.
Really good brewery, great for drinks, great for the burgers, great for hanging out with a group of friends or family. The interior is nicely decorated with its own unique flair, oval shaped bar and nice custom wood feature above the middle of it. There's some TVs for games, a big pull down screen too. They have a nice glass area to see where they make the beers and also have a little store front with beers and merch to buy. Service is always great, attentive and friendly. The okc smash is great, I just wish they made a sauce for it, it's got a great crust on the smash and taste great. I was hungry so I added another patty and bacon because sometimes it be like that. They serve a wide variety of brews they make, cocktails (the manhattan is pretty good), and thc drinks. I've been a decent amount of times and will be going again.
I brought my mom here after a trip to zap props, and we were impressed with the overall atmosphere and food. I don't love ordering at the bar, but the folks working there were very helpful and kind. The beer was good, and we also got some loaded fries, a shrimp, quesadilla, and a Smashburger. Everything was very tasty. There were lots of little kids and babies there, which I appreciate because it can be difficult to find kid friendly places sometimes. Would definitely go back!
Everything was good, I didn't know how delicious crusted cheese was we ordered the fries the bar drinks were light but good hop & honey water tasted like sparkling water with honey literally sublime fries 10/10 no complaints.. i would suggest the salsa in the bar there is adequate street parking we dined in but ordered at the bar and food was brought to our table. a server didn't come to us..

I already love the vibe of this place and all of their unique craft beer selections, but tried their food for the first time, specifically their smash burger and it was DELICIOUS.
Marz Brewery makes the most savory comfort food. From their gourmet ooey gooey cheesy smashburger to their cheesy fried tacos, everything here is the PERFECT weekend treat after a hard week of work, you know what I'm saying? Although you can definitely come for tacos and a beer on their trivia days, too. Bring all your friends--this place is quite huge and have long tables for large parties. Tip: Order on the left innermost part of the bar if you're just there for food, and remember your table number when ordering!

Went here after dinner one evening for some drinks. Super lowkey spot, it wasn't crowded, we found a seat immediately and they have games!! I got the hard lavender lemonade, yakool, and the tropical martini! They were all amazing, but the tropical martini had to come home with me and I haven't stopped telling friends about it. It had a sweetness, but not overly sweet, I loved it so much I actually am drinking one right now lol. It's an easy drink to grab and go. We ordered: 1. OKC Smash - onion smashed double patties, double cheese, toasted sesame bun 2. Biggest Star - double patties, Chihuahua cheese crust, toasted sesame bun Properly smashed & seasoned beef in-between buns that hold well. Absolutely delicious. Love the Cajun style fries too. I don't recommend adding condiments or at the very least, get it on the side. No issues with service. Great location off the beaten path and lots of seating and space inside. read more
This place holds a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons. Drinks, food, and vibe hit all the marks. Karaoke, music bingo, trivia nights, and other weekly events make Marz lively and have you coming back on the regular. If that isn't enough, the variety of beers and cocktails will have you wanting to try multiples. It's fun to discover drinks on the menu, and if you like something enough, check out their canned items which you can buy to go. The tacos, burritos, and burgers all taste good and are authentic - corn tortillas, onion, cilantro. Marz is a spacious venue which you'll want to regularly visit so check it out! read more

Went for the first time and I enjoyed it. Ordered the guacamole, steak and shrimp tacos. The food order did take some time but it states that on the menu so I was prepared for it. Ordered a cocktail and it was just okay - tasted like juice. I should've opted for one of the canned options. The tacos were good! I loved that the meat was plentiful and not dry. I will say the cheese they use (I'm assuming) or some other component on the steak taco is a little salty. But other than that I enjoyed and would return. read more
Great service and great everything. The place is sooo cool and I'm sad my phone died bc I didn't get to take more photos because there's just so much coolness inside this brewery. Recommend this place highly. The tacos and the amazing salsa was to die for. Kudos to the person who makes the red salsa. I'm a little jealous bc I make salsas myself. Loved it!! read more
loved it here. great family vibes on a sunday afternoon. you can bring kids. they had a guy making some excellent empanadas. i think casa empanadas was his company. loved the beer, staff, food. everything was excellent. plenty of free parking and easy to find. need to go back for a burrito. chicken taco was also great. read more
This place has been on my Yelp list for a couple of years, and I finally made it to this part of town. Plenty of street parking available. And to my suburbanites...plentiful! Service was super friendly. They offer full pours as well as 6 oz options. I enjoyed two of their iPas which were tasty. They have plenty of variety from beer to thc infused cocktails to cocktails. Dayuuuuum. This place is great, we went on a Saturday around 1pm, it was not crowded at all. The staff were super nice, the beer was delicious, offering several IPAs which I loved. They had Edward scissor hands playing, it was a perfect fall experience. I got a smash burger with jalapeños, cheese, and onions, it was incredible. My husband also got a smash burger. We shared fries. They even have a pink lemonade, great for kiddos. Their menu is great for families, the place is big enough to sit and relax. read more

Came for Wednesday trivia with friends. Plenty of free street parking in the area. They also have other game/theme nights during the week. Drinks were good, and the burger was delicious! Would love to come back on a weekend to try the chilaquiles burrito. read more

THEEE BEST SHRIMP TACO EVER served on a queso crusted corn tortilla, onion, cilantro and two tasty salsas with a kick! I pair it with Tropical Tiger draft. It's tasty and you only need one. The service here is fantastic! I've rarely waited more than 5 minutes for a refill. This bar has a fun atmosphere that includes a back room filled with nostalgic items for the typical GenX. They host events like Bingo, Trivia and karaoke weekly! Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere but honestly even if it weren't id show up just for the shrimp taco! read more

MARZ is awesome. They have a nice bar and a gaming area complete with arcade games and foosball. They have different events through out the month. Music bingo is always fun. We ordered a couple OKC smash burgers and they are always a smash! I would love to go on a Sunday to try the chilaquiles burrito. read more

What an awesome place! I've driven past Marz more times than I can count and repeatedly meant to stop in, but never did until today. The space is pretty nice. It's open and not crowded reeling even though they had a pretty good crown going for a Sunday. Seat yourself at the bar. They have a lot of unusual brews, along with some more standard ones. They have a lot more Goses than anyplace I've known. I had a Paczki stout, which is a double milk with lactose and cocoa. I also had a fruit beer which I forget the name of but was basically a sour. I wrapped up with a schwarzbier, which tasted exactly like the one I made last year. They also have food, and my smashburger was delicious with avocado and bacon. Service at the bar was prompt and friendly. Restrooms are clean. Come drink and eat here. read more
Marz is such a great neighborhood brewery ! I love that it's family friendly and my daughter enjoys the playroom while we enjoy some great beers and food from the pop ups. They have loteria with prizes on Tuesdays and they host great events year round. Looking forward to checking out the new life on Marz soon! read more
First time going to a brewery in the city with a baby. I knew it was a thing in the suburbs so I contacted them to make sure it was okay at this city brewery. We got there around noon on a Saturday and, to my surprise, there were 3 other families with kids there! It's very welcoming to see that they are cool with parents looking to grab some food and a drink with their kids in tow. They even had a highchair. They have a massive draft list and they offer smaller tasting pours which I always appreciate. There's also a big game room off to the side that I'd like to take my toddler to next time. I highly recommend this spacious, chill brewery during the day for families! read more

Marking off another Chicago area brewery. Marz Community Brewing was but my latest of breweries to try for the Windy City. I generally have very positive brewery experiences with the breweries here in Chicago and Marz was no exception to it! Steve and I both had the Gay IPA. This was a beer that grabbed our attention as it was close to Pride Month and we were trying a whole bunch of LGBTQ owned breweries during this time and Marz is one of them. For the Gay IPA we picked up flavors of pineapple and other fruity, juicy flavors. It had a nice mouthfeel to it and proved to be very refreshing. Absolutely love the merchandise such as t shirts but quite a few items were out of stock but I settled in a size and logo that I liked relatively easy. I'll keep my eye on the merch for future restocking in hopes of purchasing more t shirts at some point! read more

A hidden gem! My friend saw an IG post for Sublime Tacos and suggested we check it out. The burgers and tacos looked tantalizing, so we decided to make it a group thing. We visited on a Sunday afternoon during the Bears game and found ample seating. The restaurant is housed in an old warehouse, so it's chilly, but it's not too bad. Some people were wearing t-shirts while others wore their coats or winter hats. We all had the smash burgers, and they were delicious! Each one of us had a variation of the classic smash, and there weren't any complaints. The burgers are seasoned well and cooked to perfection. They are also HUGE!! The buns could be a little bigger, but that's a minor detail. The fries are okay, but they aren't nearly as memorable as the burgers. I probably would opt for plain potato chips if they were on the menu. The burger is definitely worth the $14 price tag, though. I had a pink lemonade and the THC-infused Marz High Pie Shrub Soda. I enjoyed the lemonade, but thought the soda was too sweet. My brother had the Kush Party, and he thought it was really good. My sister had their house cola, but she said it was just okay. She regretted not ordering the ginger ale. She also had the Malort Spritz, which she didn't like at all. Personally, I didn't care for the cocktails. I would've much preferred to have a margarita. I'm not a beer or seltzer fan, so most of the alcoholic beverages weren't appealing. I also don't smoke weed, so the THC/CBD options weren't particularly of interest either. I didn't ask if they had a full bar, though. I just opted to go the non-alcoholic route. The vibe is chill and comfortable. The bartenders and staff were friendly. We all had a great time and agreed that we'd return soon to try the tacos. read more

Yes! They do curbside pickup and also you can get package goods to go.
Their website shows three beers. Is that all they have? No food menu, so no food?
They definitely have food! It's an interesting selection. It's filling food, too. They have more than 3 beers. They have quite a lot on tap and bottles. They also have a space where you can buy their bottled beer from a fridge and merch.
Does this place have TV's in the bar section? I know most brewery's don't
yes, they have one big screen for sure. most of the times I've been there its tuned into some sort of non broadcast channel, very weird programming, but they had World Cup on earlier this month.
Do they take reservations? A group of 6 or so people would like to come for lunch on a weekend. Not sure if it's typically packed.
No reservations from what I have seen. When I was there on the weekend we arrived around noon and it wasn't full yet but it did fill up shortly afterwards.
