Spacious brewery in Pilsen area serving up great beers in a cool environment! Tried the Epsicle which is a creamsicle type ale, very good! Good mix of music being played by the friendly staff. Pro Tip: the day I visited they did have a cooler and were selling singles to go of their Project Peekza beer

Cute spot! Previous reviews said they had small offerings. Not anymore ! They now have excellent beer list! Speaking to the bartender, was told they had small list when opening due to Chicago beer laws. Now they have extensive list. They also have wine and cocktails. For suburbanites, there is plentiful street parking and around the corner. Pricing is very reasonable.

Just a neat spot. Easy parking. Easy to find a seat. Service is quick and friendly to order drinks. Some of the drinks have standard and smaller trial options. No matter what I order, I always get a 4 ounce orange milkshake IPA. It rocks. The 5Kolsch (or 5K Kolsch?) is a nice crisp lighter beer, and my go-to is the El Venado. It's delicious, and I always get a four-pack to take home. Cool vibe and it's family- and dog-friendly. There's a Walter Payton photo by the bar, and they show Bears games during the season. They offer some different food options depending on the day, with the legendary Heffer BBQ handling food on Saturdays and Sundays as part of a residency. Get a Monochrome beer and a Heffer brisket crunchwrap and you'll have a fantastic day.

Monochrome is a fun addition to Pilsen. Located in a large hall (so suitable for large groups, kids, and dogs), the place offers both draft beers and draft cocktails. The team was very friendly and helpful sharing some information on each of the brews and offering tasters prior to ordering. After trying the Best Tuesday Ever, Pineapple Swirl, Big Riwaka Vibes (guest draft by Other Half) and the More 20 Dank IPA - I settled on the latter due to its curious nature. The house Double IPA is also tasty and a recommendation! Next time I'll be in town I'm definitely trying the draft cocktails

I went back with a friend for a second visit and they are definitely way more settled in now. The place has a Mexican vibe/theme. The owners were both very nice. They have several beers on the menu now - mostly hazy IPA which is right up my alley! Good service, good beers! They also have Mexican cocktails, wine, mocktails, and other N.A. options. Very clean and spacious. Would recommend, will definitely return.

    Two of my favorites.

I visited this place last week, while in town. They have some of the best Hazy beers in Chicagoland.

So happy to have Monochrome in the neighborhood!! We went last night for their public opening and the energy was amazing. Everyone seems super excited to have a brewery back in this space (used to be Lo Rez). The brewery is very spacious, allows dogs, and is great for kids. They have indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. Bring your own food, but they plan to have food trucks and pop ups. The beer menu was pretty good. A good variety of house beers, something for everyone - IPA, seltzers, stout. And they also had guest drafts from some pretty cool breweries. I liked their Epsicle Layers orange creamsicle beer and my husband liked the Tetrachromatic stout. You can get 6 ounce pours, which is really nice. Plenty of street parking, free wifi. What more can you ask for? We're very excited to visit throughout the summer!

Place was pretty good. Koo chill vibes and atmosphere. Pretty clean and open with plenty of sitting options. Dog's are welcome but the one thing I didn't like. There was a guy there with his dog and he was letting him walk all over the couches.

Amazing brewery! The bartender was so friendly and inviting, amazing beer, and darts, made our visit so much fun. I can't wait to go back!

Beers were amazing! People that worked there were super friendly, patient, and welcoming. They had darts which we had a blast playing and then watched some football on their enormous projector. I can't wait to go back!

Nice giant space. The brewery is newer and while the lineup of their beers was small, what I had was great and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The first three beers from Monochrome and outside.

We were greeted at the door by the bartender and told we could sit anywhere besides the booths. We found a table in the bar area and were greeted by Santiago, our fantastic waiter. He was so attentive but gave us space to enjoy our meal. We tried both their seasonal Kolsch and Pilsner and they were so drinkable and went down smooth with our meal. We got the Reuben egg rolls to start and my husband, who is a huge fan of Reuben's said this may be his favorite rendition! He ordered the proclaimed "best burger in Chicago" and agreed it was absolutely delicious. He liked that the bacon was ground into the beef patty for an evenly distributed smoky flavor. I had the falafel wrap which was so good with crisp, cold salad with tzatziki and warm falafel all rolled into a wrap for a delicious, handheld meal. Inside, you can see their beer vats as part of the decor as well as many pieces of artwork featuring their fuzzy Giant. It's a fun atmosphere and I would recommend it! Also, it is conveniently located in the same building as the AMC so you can grab a bite or beer before or after a movie!

I had been wanting to try Industry Ales when it opened and was glad to have had the opportunity to finally check it out! I was slightly thrown off, as the dining tables are at the front of this space, and the bar is all the way at the back. In fact, my friend at first glance thought it was a sit-down dining establishment sans bar seating. We found our way to the bar and posted up at two seats. We were offered menus right away and found the bartender extremely knowledgeable. This was super helpful when facing down an encyclopedia of ales. He offered samples when we explained what we were looking for. That is service above and beyond, especially on a bustling Friday early evening. The brews were tasty, but I couldn't really discern what I was drinking apart to say it was a lighter Belgian Ale. Wine is more in my wheelhouse, but always good to change things up, especially when a person has the opportunity to be guided by an expert. The people seated nearby had ordered the tuna tartare which looked delicious. In fact, all of the menu is globally influenced (think: pizza samosas, pierogis, Korean BBQ) in addition to the classic brewpub favorites. In addition to the Brewpub, this location features the Millroom, a speakeasy-style lounge. I did not have a chance to check that out on this visit. Definitely a cut above the usual sports bar and a place to expand one's knowledge of brews.

It is surrounded by factories and buildings that look a little abandoned, so it feels a little sketchy pulling up. But once you walk inside, it is a completely different experience. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain how everything works, which I appreciated. Now the food. So good. I have had a favorite taco spot for the past few months, but this place honestly raised the bar. They are known for their fried cheese tacos and they absolutely live up to the hype. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce reminded me of a seafood boil, rich and flavorful. The salsa verde was also great. I also had the fries topped with fried cheese, cilantro, and onions, and they were just as good. Everything smelled amazing and everyone at the table loved their food. One thing I really loved is their drink options. They have great cocktails, but also offer well crafted mocktails that feel just as intentional. On top of that, they have THC and CBD drinks, which really adds to the relaxed, laid back vibe. Overall, it is a great place to sit, hang out, and enjoy good food and drinks for as long as you want. I will definitely be back.

We visited around 12pm, and we had a designated server. The server was very patient with us, especially we did not come entirely as a group. We ordered potato soup and baos, and they both tasted delicious. The soup came with a bread, which was so delicious when paired with the soup. It was sweet! I had michalada, with the blonde ale instead of Guinness. It tasted spicy! There was also a live music band playing Irish songs, which I think made the whole ambiance very soothing, like it made me feel like I was in Ireland. They had a lot of special events going on for the holiday, so as you might imagine, it was difficult to snag a table even before 5pm. We managed to get a spot on the patio, which was insulated really well. It would be a great place to hang out in the summer. Our server was very attentive and provided great recommendations. To drink, we honored the occasion with imported Guinness stouts, which were light-bodied with a great depth. Per recommendation, we started with the hummus appetizer, and all I have to say is: do not sleep on this! The hummus was super flavorful and well seasoned, served alongside the most delicious grilled za'atar naan. The fresh crudites provided a really nice contrast. Highly recommend! For mains, we ordered the Guinness beef stew and the bangers and mash. The latter was my favorite of the two- the sausages were extra crispy on the outside and very tender. The mashed potatoes were super creamy and the bacon-onion mustard gravy was delicious. My favorite part may have been the brown beer bread served alongside- this stuff is absolutely addictive. I thought the beef stew was also well done with very tender meat, but just wasn't as flavorful as the other entree. Throughout the meal, we were treated to traditional Irish music complete with a bagpipe troupe. We left full and in the holiday spirit- will 100% return and highly recommend making the trip over here!

The inside is moody with dark wood finishes, black accents, and elegant artwork & feature lighting. Upon entering, one checks in at the first floor host stand. A server brings you upstairs to the dining area. There is a mixture of two and four tops in the space and our table had a handwritten note congratulating us on our anniversary. Our seat allowed both of us to have a view of the kitchen window to watch the chefs prep courses. There were 3-4 servers that serviced the entire dining room and rotated in presenting dishes. They started with warm towelettes to wash your hands which was a nice touch. Service level throughout was impeccable with water refills, explaining the menu, delightful demeanor, fresh silverware per course, and wiping the table clean from anything that dropped. This was certainly one of the best hospitality levels at a one star I've experienced. Dinner was 12 courses including the amuse-bouche and final treats. There was not one course that didn't offer bright, fresh flavors. The presentation of plates were beautiful from every angle. It's hard to pick any top dish as everything was unique and special in their own way; but I am still thinking about the Crab Bite, Sablefish, and Pasta Course. After dinner, each guest got a complimentary bag full of goodies to enjoy at home. What a beautiful final touch! Moody Tongue as a whole far exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate the limited but intentionally crafted food menu. The Maplewood smashburger was juicy, savory, and the burger patty was perfectly browned and crisped without being dry. The sauce was delicious and had a nice kick. I shared the burger with my partner, along with cheese curds (incredible!!), and roasted honeynut squash. It was very filling and we ended up taking some cheese curds and squash home! The squash had depth of flavor and a great mix of textures with pistachios, pomegranate seeds, and I think feta cheese on top. The skin was crispy and overall it was tasty! The food paired perfectly with beer. I've had Maplewood beer from a can before but never on tap, so it was such a treat! I tried the Krispie Treats which delivered on the marshmallow vanilla flavor and sweetness. They have a big selection of beers, and they are also a distillery which means they offer cocktails! I love that they have something for everybody, including the friends who are more into cocktails than beer. I liked that utensils, trays, and takeout containers were self-serve and well-stocked. There's a variety of takeout containers to suit various types of food and portion sizes and they were high quality! I love when restaurants/bars offer the thick napkins--a marker of quality, and feels so luxurious! There are bathrooms for all genders, and they were clean, and had fun decor. And there's a small section of the brewery with merch for sale, like sweatshirts and beer glasses, so be sure to check those out! Can't wait to come back!
