The food here is really good. I ordered the fish and chips and it was perfect. I love when fried cod does not have too much batter, that perfect balance of fish and the breading is key. Also the fries were very good as well, they didn't taste overly fried and the texture was still crispy and fresh. Next time I come I definitely have to take more pictures!

Good brews and good filipino food! The bartender is so friendly. It was a fun experience and cool place for hanging out with friends.

A nice spot for an outdoor dinner and drinks! I didn't get to see the inside because I was with my dog, but the outside is cute with a bunch of tables by the front door. They have a nice selection of beers that seem to rotate seasonally, so if that's your thing, this may be a cool place to try. I got an Austrian beer and was happy with it! The cheese curds were pretty tasty, but I would split them with someone next time and not necessarily get them for just me. The wedge salad was just kinda meh. The pork belly on the wedge salad was pretty lack luster.

Definitely my favorite brew pub in the Pilsen neighborhood. They have a wide variety of microbrews on tap with a very extensive menu. If you're not a beer drinker, they also have a bunch of mixed drink specials. The staff is extremely friendly and when you walk in, you'll get the brew pub vibes right away.

The wings fire....the zucchini fries good. The beer options great and the the tequila also good. The service was great as the waiters were attentive. The ambiance is homely and fun with patio seating. The menu is cute and has some decent options. They have lumpia...which is all time favorite of course. I would definitely come back. I believe that the bar is worthy of returning..

    Cool, tiny brewpub.

Great place! Service, food, beer, location, vibe, all excellent. Can't wait to come back. The cheese curds are light and airy, the wings are perfectly cooked and flavored. All the lager styles are great.

Super cute setup. I love the outside patio area and the fact that it is two floors on the inside. The beer was good and we got great recommendations from our waitress. The peppers had a good flavor to them and We will be back soon to try some of the other menu items!

Stopped here today for drinks - drink was priced at $15 each which is a bit overpriced. Customer Service was good and the ambiance was good as well. The food tasted ok but could have been better for sure.

Burgers here are huge! Also highly recommend their Garlic Dill Bread with Roasted Garlic Honey Butter. Hands down best garlic bread I've ever tried especially with the butter.

We've been to Alulu countless times! They have an extensive food and alcohol menu, including draft cocktails. They have plenty of tequila/mezcal options, which makes me happy! And they have a variety of great beer, which makes my husband happy. They have seltzers, wine, some cider and non-alcoholic beverages. There's literally something for everyone! We've had a lot of the food and it's all solid. Pizza is Detroit-style. If you're craving a burger, you've got options and you won't be disappointed. Fish and chips (a special right now) were great - super fresh. They have a wonderful outdoor patio, dog-friendly, that is currently closed for winter. They share the patio with the sushi place next door, so there are even more food and drink options! It's a little small inside Alulu, but there's a fair amount of seating, including the seating upstairs. We've never had trouble finding a table. Inside, the music is very loud and they aren't able to turn it down (we asked). Overall servers are suuuuper friendly and cool. We've always had a great experience. Highly recommend, especially if you're hanging out with people with a variety of dietary preferences.

Great spot for an outdoor dining experience. We arrived and were able to seat ourselves. The service was excellent and our waiter was very nice. It did take a bit for the food to come out. We ordered the burger because it was their special for the evening at $10 and their pepperoni garlic flatbread at $18. Burger was amazing - loved the pickled onions and the garlic aioli sauce. The fries were a bit small and seemed like we got the bottom of the fryer. The flatbread was good but nothing special - Very cheesy which I liked - a good thick crust and a lot of pepperonis Overall a lovely place and I will definitely be coming back. They have some great specials during the weekday which makes it a great value spot as well.

Alulu is yet another brewery. It kind of fits in with the festive atmosphere in Pilsen. Lots of crowds all the time. Has a more intimate area at the bar for a cozier experience. The prices are kind of high on beer, and the food prices are even higher. For sure I won't complain too much about the prices, because these aren't like these are higher than many other craft breweries. It did make us not get as much as we wanted of course. There was a lot of good things to choose from. Hard choices. The beers are the main thing. It's about $8 a pint. Kind of a lot even at a craft brewery it seems. I had the Aldona. It's a farmhouse ale with green peppercorns and strawberries. Good beer. This had a hotness and sweetness. As for the good, we got the Vegetable Lumpia. It's $12 for a big portion. This is a whole lot of vegetables such as carrots, chickpeas, kale, oyster mushrooms, and potatoes. A lot to eat. This made the prices seem not as bad, so good stuff. Has many beers and good food to choose from. It has an indoor bar and the outdoor patio. There can be long wait times especially on weekends.

They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. I have had a favorite taco spot for the past few months, but this place honestly raised the bar. They are known for their fried cheese tacos and they absolutely live up to the hype. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce reminded me of a seafood boil, rich and flavorful. The salsa verde was also great. I also had the fries topped with fried cheese, cilantro, and onions, and they were just as good. Everything smelled amazing and everyone at the table loved their food. One thing I really loved is their drink options. They have great cocktails, but also offer well crafted mocktails that feel just as intentional. Our seat allowed both of us to have a view of the kitchen window to watch the chefs prep courses. There were 3-4 servers that serviced the entire dining room and rotated in presenting dishes. They started with warm towelettes to wash your hands which was a nice touch. Service level throughout was impeccable with water refills, explaining the menu, delightful demeanor, fresh silverware per course, and wiping the table clean from anything that dropped. This was certainly one of the best hospitality levels at a one star I've experienced. Dinner was 12 courses including the amuse-bouche and final treats. I've heard the wait is insane, so it's recommended to make a reservation on Resy. Off the bat, I was already side-eyeing this process. I had to pay $2.49 per person to secure a reservation, which is crazy. This is not a deposit either, which I would have understood. I've just never encountered a restaurant that charges a fee to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we got seated immediately (which I would hope so, after paying to make a reservation). Our server collected our orders quickly and our food came out about 15-20 minutes later. CRISPY FRIES - 13.99 Charging $14 for a side of fries is wild enough, but topping it with a completely solid fried egg was baffling. I'm not sure what the culinary vision was. Are we supposed to mash it all together into some sort of hash brown situation, or awkwardly eat the fried egg on its own? The fries themselves were fine, nothing to write home about. However, I did enjoy the mornay sauce and garlic aioli that came on the side. SINGLE CHEESEBURGER - 17.99 +3.49 for egg Over $20 for a burger that doesn't come with sides? I was a little disappointed my burger came with a side of a knife instead. I thought the whole gimmick was having the knife strike straight down into the burger. Beyond that, the burger wasn't anything unique. The bun itself was dry and mid, not the soft and fluffy bun I had envisioned. Everything else was fine -- not bad, but certainly not great. While it wasn't a bad burger, I can't help but feel incredibly disappointed given the hype around Au Cheval burgers. My friend told me the way to "fully experience" Au Cheval is to get the cheeseburger plus both the egg and bacon add-ons, which our server also recommended. I did try a piece of my friend's bacon with my burger and it does add a depth of smoky sweetness. However, that becomes a 17.99 + 3.49 + 6.99 = 28.47 for a burger. That's insane. The add-ons themselves cost more than half of the burger. I'm not doing that to my wallet. Sorry, but this was a disappointing experience for me. I'd rather just go to Shake Shack, which at least comes with tasty and juicy burgers for 1/3 of the price.
