Of course we had to stop by here on the way back to our car after an extremely long walk lol! We were PARCHED. The humid weather did not help, even if it looked like it was going to rain, we only got hit by a little drizzle. This place was somewhat busy but we got up to the bar and ordered almost immediately. I guess most of the bartenders are from out of state so it was neat hearing about where they were from. The young bartender lady who helped us, had to ID me, no biggy lol! I definitely look the youngest out of the group. I ordered their Melon-choly cocktail which had Midori, ginger, lime, and some ketel one oranje. I don't drink much and my bf's sister doesn't really either so we shared and it ended up being perfect for the both of us! Super delicious and refreshing and I even gobbled down the ice for the walk since it was the perfect way to "cool down". The whole bar is outside with high bar tables and some regular seating as well. You can order food but we just wanted some quick drinks to relinquish our thirst lol. The view of the bean was incredible from this bar! Really cool to see, almost basically up close but not really. Great vibes and a really cool spot to hang out and chill. Definitely want to try their food next time! IG: @ammysalamii

I've been searching for the name of this place for months as I went here shortly before I moved it. Could never find it but I'm glad I have today. The food here was very good, and I loved the appetizers and beer. Our server was making us laugh the whole time! This night was fun and the food totally topped it off haha. I'd love to go back here when it's warm and try another food option. Definitely recommend if you're in the area during the summer

Nice vibe. Good music and good drinks. Wish I would've tried the food. Looked good! Outdoor seating is nice and chill.

We were visiting the Chicago area and had to try the local brewery scene. Crushed by Giants was…read morewithin walking distance from the hotel and was an obvious choice. It was upstairs in the building and had a great brewery vibe - laid back and fun. The decor had a big giant furry creature (the giant from the name) doing all kinds of different things like climbing buildings and posing with farmers, such a great touch! There was a bar to sit at when you first walked in and there seemed to be lots of locals, which is always a great sign. I was hungry so we decided to get a table. The server was friendly and I was so excited when I saw they had flights! I love flights because you can try lots of different beers in one sitting. They also had traditional bar snacks like wings and nachos and other sandwiches including hamburgers. It all looked good but I was feeling a salad and had the chopped salad. It was fresh and filling. Paid with my beer flight, it was a great experience! I would definitely recommend Crushed by Giants for a beer and some snacks!

Parking is in nearby street parking on parking structures. --Ambience-- Cool middle bar setup with vinyl glossy wood tables. Great bar set up, but we chose the dining room table. --Service/Staff-- Bartenders were quick in getting the drinks out. Our server was great in letting us know what was on tap and when last calls was. --Products-- Got the neon on tap and my friends got the flight of beers. Good selection of beers to choose from --Capacity-- Inside the dining room can hold about 40-50 people and the bar area can hold about 25 people. --Overall-- Looking forward to return to try out their other items on tap.

Checked out this hip looking brewery. It certainly is one of the many places to go to in The Loop…read more Industry Ales is a place that has a lot more than just beers, which is a good choice, because there's all kinds of people who crowd in and want to have fun times. Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.

We both got flight flights and then I had a avocado Caesar salad salad with chicken and my husband had a Smashburger. We ordered my daughter chicken burgers and fries of course lol. My wife came across a special event OG Brewery was having. It was an oyster bake for $200. Upon arrival, the brewery looked aesthetic and trendy. When we arrived, we had a small line but everyone got in quickly. Almost every table was taken. Most people were trying to enjoy the outside weather. The band was waaaaay to loud. We had to yell, as did everyone else, to talk. Great if it's a nightclub, not good for a smaller dining area midday. We asked a couple if we could sit next to them and share a table, turned out to be someone I knew from college lol! We went up and grabbed a few oysters, soup, fish and chips, and green beans. The food was terrible. Not one person at our table or anyone else we talked to or overheard, enjoyed the food either. They ran out of, or stopped serving, oysters way to quickly. It almost seemed they resorted to canned oysters after the first hour or two (purely speculation). We did get a small Guinness included with our entry which was good. They do sell more varieties of Guinness than I've ever seen before! They were serving one of their own beers to try. It was very floral. If you like that type of taste I think you will love it, but it wasn't ours. No one finished their beer. The one bright spot were the bus staff and server. They were fast and friendly. Overall, this event was a major let down. I can't recommend OG Brewery, as much as I had high hopes. The $200 admission was insane for the quality of food, and lack of quantity of food. If you are going to charge premium fees for an event, make sure you follow through! And for the love of god, teach the band about sound levels!

The pretzel was honestly one of the best ones I've had. With there was more cheese. The feta salad was fresh and very yummy. Great balance of flavors. I think there could've been less feta or more vegetables though. The mushroom dish was yummy. Mushrooms could've had more flavor. Texture was interesting. Steak was too chewy but meat flavor was yummy. Unfortunately the bread pudding was way too salty. Black Forest cake was the best I've ever had. And I love this cake and have had it in Germany. Many different beers so if you like beer this will be paradise. Blue cheese martini was yummy. Perfect balance and wasn't too funky with blue cheese flavor. Service in the beginning was a little weird. Definitely warmed up to us and was good throughout the night. They already had all of my allergens information through the reservation site so that was convenient. Definitely would recommend splurging if you like fine dining in interesting settings and like beer and unique dining experiences.
