In love! Casa e Bottega is gorgeous, both for its decor and…read morefood. Would come back in a heartbeat! Stomach growling as I was walking down Viale Pasitea (the main thoroughfare in town), multiple good options caught my eye. After some Gmaps searching (sorry Yelp, again limited and some outdated data in Europe!) their beautiful IG-able interior + stellar reviews cinched the decision for me. It's both a restaurant and retail store--the latter carries local ceramics, kitchenware and home decor, many with botanical designs--capturing that quintessential coastal vibe--colors back to white. The former takes up the remaining three-quarters of the white-washed space with about two dozen tables seating about 40-50 people. Live vines hang from parts of the ceiling, pendant lighting fixtures printed with leaf patterns echo the botanical theme from the retail displays. The aesthetic rounds out with tiled floors, light wood furniture, and pillowed banquette seating mixed with individual tables, tying in designs from the home goods store. Food is new Italian--they do carry some traditional dishes though they also have a modern Mediterranean section of the menu that adds non-traditional ingredients or techniques. They also serve a variety of cocktails, fresh-squeezed or blended juices and smoothies, and coffee drinks. Lunch with an entree and drink will run you about €35-40, which is on the higher side though par for the course compared to other similar restaurants along the Amalfi Coast. I ordered the traditional fagioli cannellini, scarola, capperi, olive e calamari gratinati €26 (cannellini beans, escarole, capers, olives and gratinated calamari). This was creamy and tasty even though it had no cheese or cream, the calamari was cooked well, just tender enough, and coated with light breadcrumbs, which I appreciated as it was baked and not deep-fried. Having minimal familiarity with dish, I can only say I thought it was outstanding, good textural contrast, not too salty. Staff was the right amount of attentive without being overbearing, and though their English was limited, they strove to answer my questions on ingredients in a few of the dishes. The restaurant was pretty busy during lunch, but I never felt rushed. Loved the atmosphere and food here, would certainly recommend!

I had a light pasta with in house made red sauce and the most tender chicken lightly seasoned . We came for lunch and almost every table was taken and able to get in right away without a wait. Vita came to our table mutiple times to entertain and delight us with his stories. We even visited his fine dining restaurant two nights upon his recommendation. Return: absolutely

We sat right in front of Miles and Keleigh Teller at dinner. The crab appetizer and rooster ravioli were the highlights of our meal. The lamb entree was also excellent. I would skip the tart tartine and instead go have a night cap at the Don't Worry speakeasy bar next door that has a live DJ set with vinyl records. It was epic and we shut the place down at 2am.

The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking, romantic, elegant, and uniquely Positano. Every detail was perfection. The service was flawless, warm, and incredibly attentive, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the legendary Maître D', who has been with La Sponda for 44 years. His charm, professionalism, and passion for hospitality elevated the entire experience and made us feel genuinely special. Then there were the roaming musicians, who have been at La Sponda for 33 years performing!! They transformed dinner into something straight out of a movie. The music floating through the candlelit restaurant created an energy and emotion that simply cannot be replicated. La Sponda is not just a restaurant, it is THE Positano experience. An unforgettable evening we will talk about forever. It felt like an absolute DREAM!!

First of all the restaurant in located in a small hotel with a fabulous view of the coast of the Amalfi coast. The staff is meticulous presentation from the cups to the plates. We were giving some bread and dried crackers to start with. The waiter recommended some off menu items since we were such a huge party of salt crusted sea bass with some olive zucchini and potatoes as the entree and a seafood pasta as a first course. This was the best choice we could have made. The food was absolutely delicious with so much favor and the presentation was amazing. I could not stop licking the sauce from the sea food pasta. By the end of it I was full and satisfied. The night was perfect with the attentive staff and the ambiance at the restaurant. I will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend this place to anyone near the area.

The Margherita pizza is €5 and has the best flavor of any pizza we've had. We also tried the Gnocchi Pesto, a red sauce and meat pasta dish (forgot the name), 4 cheese pizza, and several other items which were good. The tiramisu is exceptional. The other desserts won't blow you away but they're super cheap. We never spent more than €40 for dinner including wine (which was on tap). The service here is incredible and very accommodating. We felt at home every time we came in and we were very sad to leave this place behind as we went home. Overall, a ton of flavor for not a ton of cash. Thank you La Selva

A family owned business over many generations, they do food, service and showmanship right. A delightful flare for describing their specials and menu items. Located in Praiano, you'll find yourself in a postcard type setting with a beautiful Lemon Garden surrounding you and overlooking a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. While the menu was amazing and extensive, I was in the mood for something that wasn't on the menu. So I asked the maître d' if he could accommodate me. Well he was beaming ear to ear because it was one of his favorite meals. He said absolutely we can. I finished every bit of this amazing Linguini and mussels in a tomato basil sauce. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by beautiful views of Praiano. Our waiter went over the evening specials, and the whole sea bass immediately caught our attention we're both big fans of a good sea bass. The fish was presented whole, then deboned tableside and served with roasted potatoes and olives. It was finished with a lemon butter sauce poured over the top, which really brought the dish together. We also ordered the Spaghetti alla Moressa, a pasta dish served in a fresh tomato sauce made with red and yellow tomatoes. Both dishes were good and quickly disappeared from our plates. To finish the meal, we shared their lemon cake, which was the perfect ending to dinner. Overall, the food was very good, the service was fairly decent, and the views made for a memorable experience. The only advice I'd offer is that if you're considering one of the specials, be sure to ask the price beforehand if you're not comfortable spending €100 for a whole fish.
