We ate here on our last night in Capri. It has a stunning view!! It's a little hard to find as the entrance is hidden from the main path. The maitre d was spectacular and helped us with the menu. I loved their flat bread. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. Fresh fish with crispy skin. Really great experience.

Great place. Amazing view , so romantic. Oh mama...... We had the fish salad. To DIE for. Plus the Baccala OMG and the fish of the day was amazing. So good. Finished with lemon gelato and Many shots of limoncello, to die for. Go... now... max the Amex.

Believe the hype! There's a reason why this restaurant is the only restaurant on Yelp in Praiano with 5/5 stars. Not only is the food delicious, but the service and experience is worth the visit alone. My wife and I were recommended this place by our hotel staff in Villa Gianlica. After deciding to take them up on their suggestion and deciding to reserve a table, we were asked what time we would like to be picked up. Picked up? The restaurant sent a shuttle to our hotel to collect us free of charge, off to a very good start! Upon arrival at Hotel Margarita (where M'ama is located) we were greeted by an extremely friendly staff member who walked us to the elevator and was then somehow waiting for us after the elevator brought us up to the top floor where M'ama is based! She literally ran up the stairs since the elevator is tiny. Even if you're not hungry, go here for a drink. They have a full bar with excellent cocktail options and a very scenic and comfortable balcony. We were shown to our table by our friendly server which had 2 glasses of prosecco waiting for us. From start to finish, every dish that came out was delicious and we weren't rushed at all. At the end of our meal, we felt kind of bad because it had gotten a lot busier and we were worried we were overstaying our welcome, so we asked for some cocktails to take to the balcony area so they could have the table back and to get the bill. Our server couldn't have been any nicer and said "You two get comfortable out there and I will bring the drinks out to you. I will bring you the bill when YOU are ready for it". After paying our bill, we were told that the shuttle was ready to take us back to our hotel whenever we were ready. Again - free of charge. I wish I took more pictures, but this place is reason enough to stay in Praiano again.

incredible experience. the service was fantastic, and extra accommodating to my friend who was vegan. They created a lovely vegan risotto for her and even brought her a vegan dessert and some drinks. absolutely wonderful.

I was very under whelmed. I ordered the lamb which was over cooked and barely edible because it was so dry. When I provided feedback about the preparation our server didn't apologize or try to remedy the situation. No visit from the chef or manager. Presentation was gorgeous but over cooked. Location is great. Ambience is great but over cooked lamb is a fail.

The view from my seat at our table.

Had a fabulous experience here. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the view was spectacular (though there isn't such a thing as a bad view in Praiano). We chose this place because of another Yelp review, and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is on the roof of a hotel, with 180 degree views of the sea and coastline. The ambiance is charming, with covered seating throughout, as well as some open air lounge space. Upon sitting down we were offered a complimentary glass of sparkling white wine, made locally, as well as a small appetizer. My wife and I shared a small plate and pasta, as well as desert. This was plenty for two people. After dinner we were offered complimentary limoncello, and were offered a free ride home using the hotel car. Fabulous place! If you find yourself in Praiano, try it out!

My best meal in Italy. Amazing dishes, one after the next...and it continued. A great way to close an amazing time on the Almafi Coast.

On our first day here we came to the hotel rooftop restaurant and it was not what I expected!! The seafood, beef, breads, cheese and lamb were amazing! We will come back again during our stay here. Absolutely great service and the staff has recommendations on everything.

This place was amazing! They serve a unique pasta that comes from Praiano called Ndunderi (try pronouncing that correctly! See attached photo). It's not on the menu but just ask for it. It's similar to gnocchi but made with ricotta instead of potatoes. To.die.for. Everything we had here was delicious. Plus the service is top. Yes like the other reviews we received a complimentary glass of prosecco and a small delicious appetizer. The best dessert we had on the Amalfi Coast was also here pear with ricotta (see photo). It's a must. They also offer free pickup from your hotel. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. There is also of course an amazing view.

We understand that Italy has a more relaxed pace than the U.S., but it would've been nice if someone checked in on us occasionally for drink refills or to see if we needed anything. I asked, they said no it was not meant to be cold, and promptly brought me a new warm one. Which tasted good. But then ... the check comes and they charged full price for everything. Like they didn't even knock off the cover for the mistake they made. I didn't ask if they would discount the meal because I shouldn't have to. A high quality restaurant would have done it without putting me in the awkward position of having to ask. They would have just done it because serving a frozen dish is just kind of embarrassing ... especially on the Amalfi coast where they take so much pride in the quality of their cuisine. Anyway, I just paid the bill and walked out. Poor etiquette on their part ... you should not put your customers in the position of having to ask. Just do what's right up front.

Well, it wasn't worth building a trip around it, but we did really love Amalfi Coast so in the end it worked out. As for this restaurant, I wouldn't go for dinner. Food just isn't very good. If ur in the area already (not spending crazy $ to take a water taxi or drive a distance), stop by for a cocktail. Having a drink here is worth it if you're nearby so would definitely recommend that. The bar is the only portion that's part of the cave and truly, many places along Praiano and neighboring areas r built into the cliff so it's not all that special. Unless you're arriving via water taxi, the walk to this place is a lot so wear shoes that u love to hike in-lol. We paid an additional 15Euro/pp to have VIP seating right along the water. Not worth it. U could easily sit on the patio and have equal views and experience. One of the nice things about Europe is often that they don't rush u as much as US restaurants. Not here. They were ready to grab r order immediately and when we asked to start with a drink and appetizer then order in a bit, they told us they had to put in r complete order at 1 time. Seems odd since they were able to add drinks as needed, but whatevs. The linguini with anchovy (it was more of an essence) was amazing! Would totally recommend it and we don't even like anchovies. However, everything else was meh to bad. The lamb ribs were a pile of fat and not good. The filet was really overcooked so rough to eat. The tagliatelle with ragu had almost no meat in it. Probably spent $100usd pp without alcohol and would definitely not recommend for dinner. *Tip - if you're walking back up that huge hill after drinks/dinner, stop off at the hotel just above Il Pirate and have a cocktail or dessert there. They have an elevator that will take u up to the top street that u can use if you're either a guest or dining there. I promise u it's worth the $ for the ride.

It took a minute to find the restaurant because you have to walk down a lot of stairs to get to the bottom of the mountain (like most places along the Amalfi Coast).
