We also enjoyed some Prosecco, which paired perfectly with the meal. The view was stunning, and the whole restaurant buzzed with lively, happy energy. I would definitely return ~ not only because it was surprisingly affordable, but also because restaurants like this, with their true authenticity and old-world charm, are my favorite. One small note: the bathroom is on the second floor, so if you're older or have mobility issues, just keep in mind there's a set of stairs to climb. But that's very common across Western Europe. Fun fact: This beautiful little spot in Marina Grande has some real cinematic history. Sofia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, while in Sorrento filming Dino Risi's famous 1954 movie "Pane, amore e..." Amazing place in Sorrento. We stopped after we read great reviews on trip advisor, and it met our expectations 100%. The ingredients are fresh and well combined together. The restaurant screams homey, in the best ways. It's bright and cheerful, with eclectic decorations that aren't over the top annoying or too busy. The tables are laid out well and spaced nicely. And it was clean. The wall decorations and other stuff around weren't covered in dust. I loved that. The value here is incredible. I read quite a few reviews saying stuff like, oh the high ratings are because the food is so cheap. Yes, the food is inexpensive but it's home cooking. It was delicious. I went to a 1 star Michelin restaurant while in Sorrento and spent literally 1000 Euro for the two of us. I'm not saying that experience wasn't amazing, because it was, I would do it again. But I would abso-freaking-lutely come back to eat at this restaurant at about 100 Euro for 4 people, including cocktails and wine. the king prawn on the Scialatiello allo scoglio was so tender and delicious, I have nasty daydreams about it.
