Lemon and fresh caught fish pasta

HOLY COW. This place is a gem! Out of the way of crowds with nice ambiance. Our server was very helpful and recommended this delicious lemon and fresh caught fish pasta (daily special) which is something I would never have selected for myself off the menu. It was absolutely incredible! My husband got the gnocchi with sausage and mushrooms and it was delicious as well! We also got the Caprese salad as a starter and holy moly was it insanely good and fresh! Service was overall lovely! This is quite a find and I would highly recommend visiting if you're in Sorrento!

Lobster risotto special of the day

Favorite place we ate at in Italy! We had a lobster risotto which was a special as well as the antipasto. Both were amazing and the service was great. Be prepared for a little line!

We came across 'O Mezzil' as we were walking around d our hotel. This is a very small and quaint place located in an alley way. They have both outdoor and inside seating. We asked the 2 of the 6 people waiting in inline for a table and they said they have been here for a week, so they just keep coming back. We had a 15 minute wait for party of 4 and were seated outside. The service was prompt even though the restaurant was packed. We ordered our meals. I was pleased with how accommodating they were to offer two vegan options. The Risoto or big wheat noodles with garlic and mushroom sauce. I opted for the noodle dish and a salad consisting of arugula and tomatoes. The salad was one of the best I have had. The tomatoes were amazing, but even more amazing was the dressing combination used. You'll be using the bread to scoop up whatever is left over. The noodles dish came out very hot, too hot to eat. It smelled delicious and I finished my plate. The rest of my party enjoyed their spaghetti and meatballs and the caniloni dishes as well. If you looking for a nice and quiet place away from the crowds, this is a good option.

As non-touristy as you can get in the middle of a touristy town. My favorite restaurant in Sorrento! Small and hidden in an off alley, it's a few notches above the other restaurants in terms of flavor and freshness. To top it off?? Great prices and WONDERFUL service! Restaurant is quite small so highly recommend making reservations. We saw a lot of people waiting and then just leaving. They are great at leaving you alone and letting you take your time, which is bad for the waiting customer. So make a reservation or come when it opens!

A cute little spot in an alley in Sorrento! We ate here on our last night. We started with the sharing platter and got to try a little bit of everything. I loved the arancini and cheese. He had an octopus pasta and I had the mushroom and truffle. They were both really good. Mine could have used a bit more cheese but the mushrooms were cooked well! I'm not a whole octopus fan but he said it was good! Would recommend!

The wife and I stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I order the Spaghetti with Baby Octopus and the wife had the Chicken Cacciatore. The Octopus looked beautiful and the portions were really good sized. The chicken was tasty in a rich broth. The service was good a well. We didn't wait too incredibly long for our food either. Would go back again.

Orecchiette with sausage and artichoke sauce , and 'hunters chicken ' ... delicious!

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. I will say that the crab was a lot of work, it was also a delicious crab. The squid ink pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.

Since this is a tourist town - all the guests kept it casual while the fleet of workers were well-dressed and constantly 'making the rounds' for refills, food, clearing empty plates, you name it. Favorite quote came from the younger twin: "the potato caught me off guard!" - when discussing his lamb special's side, a single compressed potato that floored him. (He would mention this damn potato the rest of our vacation to anyone that would listen!) One quibble: giving us really whack (dull) knives for two dishes that most definitely needed a sharp/serrated blade. (And of course this was the one time none of the staff entered our orbit to ask/complain for something a bit more effective than a darn dessert knife.) Regardless: a (most) memorable dinner. Pro-tip: keep the young one's eyes away from the series of 'donkey' statutes when entering/exiting the front of the ristorante. (Unless you're ready to have 'the talk' with them while on vacation!)

To start, we had burrata, bruschetta and mixed salad. All were good. The salad was fresh and crunchy (with lettuce, fennel, radicchio, carrot in a light vinaigrette). We're thinking of going back even though we only have a night or two left in Sorrento, it was just that good!
