Their eggplant Parmesan was one of best we've had. Not heavy or oily. The pasta had aromatic tomatoes. The waiters were nice and helpful. Booked a reservation here based on online reviews and r glad we went. Located just around the corner from r rental in Praiano during r recent trip to Amalfi Coast. Cute decor that makes u feel like you're dining on the coast in Italy. Although they have outdoor seating and it's highlighted in most pics, we preferred sitting inside next to the open double door as it was more comfortable and not as much road noise. (There's a road between the outside dining and the restaurant) that frequently has cars & motorcycles going by. Bread was tasty & they brought sampler of sundried tomato w/cheese on skewer for each of us as part of their cover charge. We asked if they could make us a salad (b/c they didn't have one on the menu) and got a bowl of butter lettuce-lol. It doesn't seem veggies or salad is much of a thing in Italy b/c this happened at a couple restaurants. Tortellini appetizer was good. Tagliolini Tartufo was excellent and had generous amount of truffle shavings. Veal was pretty good. Rabbit (?- maybe it was lamb- can't recall) was not good- made with an Asian flavoring and NOT good. We were satisfied with service and would recommend to others if you're in the area. I was scrolling through my camera roll when I realized I never left a review for Kasai from my time in Italy. This is one of my favorite places we visited! Kasai was an adorable, quaint restaurant in Praiano. It's sits towards the top of the city, and the patio views overlook the gorgeous Amalfi Coast. Most restaurants in this city have a beach town vibe, but Kasai has more of a rustic feel which was a nice change of pace! Make sure you make a reservation, because this place gets busy. We started with the fish tartar, which was absolutely stellar. Most restaurants in Praiano have amazing fish, and Kasai was no exception. I love how fresh it was. For my main course, I ordered the truffle pasta. If you're a fan of truffle, you *need* to try this! They do not skimp on the truffle, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The tiramisu dessert was the cherry on top to a perfect meal. Kasai is a must visit if you find yourself in Praiano! read more

We really enjoyed our dinner at Kasai. We didn't have a reservation because of the time of year we visited - early April and were seated right away. The outdoor seating provides nice views since Kasai is "up the hill". The lobster pasta dish was delicious. Lobster was cooked perfectly. Not overdone which is easy to do. We also had the the Linguine alle allci di Cetara, which is linguine with salted anchovies, which was delicious. The bread, part of the $3.50 per person coperto, was actually pretty good. Usually the coperto bread is generic, but Kasai had fresh bread with toasted sesame. Nice attentive service from the staff. I can see why Kasai gets super busy during the high season. We walked up the hill to get there. I would not recommended trying to drive and find parking unless you arrive by moped/motorbike. read more

Exceptionally good food with a nice beverage list in a cute and rustic setting. We stopped in here while in Praiano as it began to rain heavily and we figured it would be a good place to wait out the storm and enjoy lunch at the same time. We split the prosciutto and burata plate (two actually), which came with a nice parmesan wafer. We also split the crispy roast octopus that had a wonderful Neapolitan-style escarole as an accompaniment. A couple of bags of warm bread and olive oil rounded out the afternoon snack along with a couple of beers. Service was great and the prices, for the quality, were very good. On my visit to the Amalfi Coast Kasai proved to be the best place I had. The location was beautiful and the waiters were extremely nice. We had such a great and authentic experience. The food is fantastic, and some of the best pasta I've ever eaten. The cook of the pasta was perfect, and the tomato sauce is so good. The tomato's in general in the Amalfi Coast are delicious, so you really can't go wrong with any tomato dish. The Muscles were fantastic, probably THE BEST I've tried. You must get them if you go here, and they give you so many. I also loved their tiramisu, but all of their dessert options sounded good If you are staying in Priano/Positano area it's definitely worth it to take a trip to Kasai. This place changed my life. I now have ridiculously high expectations for spaghetti. I came here twice for lunch and dinner and both times ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil, but during dinner they serve it with spaghettone pasta (alla scarpiello), which is a much thicker spaghetti and it was absolutely delightful!! The sauce was perfectly rich with a thick and flavorful consistency. Service was great, especially since there was an impending ice storm that I didn't know about, and after finishing my meal the staff encouraged me to stay there to wait it out. Ambience is quiet during the day but lively at night. Decor is intimate and cosy, with the option of sitting outside overlooking the gorgeous coast. A quaint little restaurant steps from Hotel Margherita. I dined by myself and felt well cared for. A table by the sea, heaters outside and blankets if you get chilly. I had read many reviews both here and elsewhere and, as a result, came with high expectations. They did not disappoint. It was raining so we couldn't sit outside but ended up preferring the coziness of the atmosphere inside the restaurant. The inside has a very rustic and intimate feel. This was our third day in Amalfi Coast and we'd already experienced some amazing meals throughout many of the towns. That said, have to say that if we could only have one meal here, Kasai would be it hands down. Enjoyed a squid appetizer, a few pasta dishes and the grilled vegetables. When you can take something as simple as grilled vegetables and elevate it to something that alone would make someone come back for more, that's talent. My pasta was a ziti with ragu and my wife had a pasta with truffles. I'm not a huge truffle fan and think they are way overused in the states but ended up wanting a second dish of hers. Was amazing. Not to have my ziti take a backseat as it was the bomb too. All the food was fresh, tasted great and executed perfectly. As you can probably tell, I'd highly recommend this place. I stayed in the area for a week and went to Kasai 3 times for both lunch and dinner and each time was better than the last. It's a much more intimate restaurant so you may have to wait but it's worth it. The staff treats you like family and the restaurant is their home. The owner is always put greeting everyone, handing out glasses of Prosecco while you wait. The food is amazing. First night I tried the truffle pasta, then the ziti, and after the ravioli which were all equally amazing. The service is great, everyone is friendly. They have outside seating but mentioned to us they were not serving food out there. OMG. Yes, all the yes. Located in the less touristy Prianao, Kasai is easily the best restaurant in town and is serving up some of the most proper pasta I've ever eaten in my life. No joke. I was in the area/town for a week and I ended up eating at Kasai in three separate occasions because it was so delicious and far beyond any other restaurant in town. My favorite dishes: the spaghetti with blistered tomatoes, black truffle pasta and eggplant parmigiana. That said, everything was super legit, just look at my photos for crying out loud. Oh, the veranda view is also second to none in the area. It's situated just below the entrance to the path of gods and looks die south towards the town of Amalfi. Make a reservation. i kept reading about this place for airbnb reviews so knew i'd have to try it. we stayed in praiano for a week and the first place i made a reservation for was this place. we just walked by and made a reservation on the spot, but you can also call too. definitely request outside seating! we loved eating here so much, we immediately made reservations for our last night here right after we finished our meal. the view is so beautiful and it was a great place to enjoy a delicious meal. at night they turn on market lights and it's so pretty and romantic. i tried their house wines and they were all good. service was friendly and excellent. all of their food was so delicious, probably one of the best meals we had on our month long europe trip. everything was so simple, but tasted so fresh and flavorful. if you're staying closer to the water, prepare for a long walk/hike up here. but if you're in italy, you're most likely use to all the stairs at this point. on a positive note, it's a great way to build up your appetite before your delicious meal here! read more

Was first place we ate when we arrived in Praiano on our honeymoon and was the last place we ate before we left the Amalfi Coast because we had to go back! In our 3 week tour of Italy, which went from Modena, Florence, Tuscany, Rome and finally Praiano on the Amalfi Coast, this was probably our favorite overall restaurant during our whole trip! The mussel soup is just incredible and so good it could stand on a Michelin star menu proudly. Literally best mussels I've ever we had. We followed it up with the truffle pasta and their lamb dish, which both were amongst the best pastas and best lamb dishes we have ever had. Desert did not disappoint either where all of them were incredible as we tried them all between both visits, including the lemon sorbet which is amazing. Can't say enough great things about this place, including the unreal views from there seating on the street. Service was A+++ too! read more
