Good restaurant with a great view of the Amalfi Coast in Conca Dei Marini. Super close to where we were staying. Unfortunately it rained the whole day we were there, but I can see how amazing the view was regardless. Their grilled prawns were delicious. Their rib eye steak (en trecoute) was a bit tough, but my husbands tagliate was great! Tiramisu was okay, but my son loved their chocolate gelato with chocolate syrup.

Food delicious. Drinks really good. Ambiance is amazing. I ordered seafood dishes. All my dishes came out really good. I also ordered tiramisu but was too full to eat it so I boxed it and had it with coffee

This is definitely the best restaurant I have ever been to. The price is reasonable, the service is perfect, the food is tasty and the views are impeccable. Loved the romantic ambience and the decor. The plates were also home made ceramic plates and the chef was very approachable and easy to talk to. All their servers, especially Francesco were very sweet and attentive. We went here for 4 days continuously due to their amazing service. This is definitely the crown jewel of restaurants on the Amalfi coast.

5 years later and it's even better than it was. The chef prepared his finest dishes. Fresh fish, beautiful pasta, wonderful sauces and flavorful. Chef Fiorenzo and his crew are the finest in Italy. The professional waitstaff pay attention to every detail. The wine sommelier chose a great local white frezzante falaghina. Love it here!!

A delightful setting for excellent food with service from a fun staff. The menu is enormous. We enjoyed the cocktails and desserts as well as the pasta dishes. Lemon ricotta ravioli were great. Espresso martini is a must.

We drove here from our agriturismo for lunch. It's difficult to get to, but oh wow. This was the best meal we had in the region, and possibly in Rome. The service was top notch and the view itself deserves a five star. We chatted with our waiter for a while and we even exchanged Instagrams and took a selfie together. Now the food: - grilled cuttlefish - nicely charred. Fresh, right amount of chewiness. - ravoli - the lemon and cheese were delicious. It was appetizing. - grilled prawns - so fresh and perfectly grilled. The meat was still moist and the prawn head was awesome. Tldr; delicious, nice view, great service.

We went for the lemon tour and dinner. He does a lunch as well. We happened to be the only couple so it was a private tour. Chefiore was friendly, personable and patient. He took us to his private villa with a few VERY old trees. He explained how to prune and keep the trees healthy to continue to thrive and produce incredible lemons . Then back at the restaurant with unbelievable views- he gave us a lesson on making limonchello. Then a four course meal that was so spectacular! It was way too much food for my husband and I- all lemon themed- and most delicious. If you are in Amalfi you are missing our on an incredible experience and meeting the nicest people if you do not include Le Bonta in your itinerary.

We would have never found this gem if it hadn't been for our driver and want to spread the word! Best view from a restaurant I've ever seen. The food and service was great too. Its up on the hill so the view is INCREDIBLE. Lovely outdoor patio, half of which is covered and half open so you can sit in the shade or sun. I think its off the beaten path location helps keep the prices low as well, such a bargain for what you get in food and atmosphere. We were there for lunch. The wine list was extensive and very well priced. We started with the caprese salad and the tomatoes were so ripe and delicious. A very good portion. I had the sea bass ravioli with citrus. I had never seen something like that before in the States and I'm so glad I tried something new. My husband got the cuttlefish and it was cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all. The chef came out at the end to make sure we enjoyed our meal, it was so nice to meet and thank him. What a great spot!

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Value unmatched, service incredible, and food is amazing. We stayed in Conca dei Marini for a week and have eaten here three times. Not your typical Positano tourist spot; this place is flooded with locals. The fried mixed fish are amazing, bolognese off the hook. Spaghetti 7 flavors is so good and the fish, smoked grilled mozzarella and everything else we tried was awesome. The chef is a gregarious, hilarious dude who took us on a limoncello tour of their garden where they grow their veggies and lemons and taught us how to make limoncello. Will go back again and highly recommend if you're looking for authentic, amazing food that isn't a tourist trap.

What's left of the margarita pizza, didn't take pictures of the filet or bass unfortunately!

They never glanced in our direction. They tossed our plates down without looking where they put them. At one point, a server threw a bag of bread on our table after we'd finished our dinners. She was walking by, didn't slow down, and tossed a bag of bread in front of my son. When we first arrived, they asked if we had taken the boat from Amalfi. We hadn't, and after that, everything seemed to change. If you do decide to eat here, maybe say yes to the boat question. I'm thinking maybe they charge a table fee for the people who take their water taxi, and that's why they didn't want us there. Who knows. Overall, I wish we had gone somewhere else. I can't remember ever eating at a restaurant that felt so dismissive. It wasn't just passive-aggressive--it felt like they were put off by us being there, which was really weird. We spent a lot of money there. I'm at a loss. They were getting on very well with the tables near us. I loved Italy so much; this was by far the worst experience we had on our trip. There is another restaurant right next to this one on a dock. If you have the choice, I'd definitely go to that one. 5 stars to the one on the dock.

Well, it wasn't worth building a trip around it, but we did really love Amalfi Coast so in the end it worked out. As for this restaurant, I wouldn't go for dinner. Food just isn't very good. If ur in the area already (not spending crazy $ to take a water taxi or drive a distance), stop by for a cocktail. Having a drink here is worth it if you're nearby so would definitely recommend that. The bar is the only portion that's part of the cave and truly, many places along Praiano and neighboring areas r built into the cliff so it's not all that special. Unless you're arriving via water taxi, the walk to this place is a lot so wear shoes that u love to hike in-lol. We paid an additional 15Euro/pp to have VIP seating right along the water. Not worth it. U could easily sit on the patio and have equal views and experience. One of the nice things about Europe is often that they don't rush u as much as US restaurants. Not here. They were ready to grab r order immediately and when we asked to start with a drink and appetizer then order in a bit, they told us they had to put in r complete order at 1 time. Seems odd since they were able to add drinks as needed, but whatevs. The linguini with anchovy (it was more of an essence) was amazing! Would totally recommend it and we don't even like anchovies. However, everything else was meh to bad. The lamb ribs were a pile of fat and not good. The filet was really overcooked so rough to eat. The tagliatelle with ragu had almost no meat in it. Probably spent $100usd pp without alcohol and would definitely not recommend for dinner. *Tip - if you're walking back up that huge hill after drinks/dinner, stop off at the hotel just above Il Pirate and have a cocktail or dessert there. They have an elevator that will take u up to the top street that u can use if you're either a guest or dining there. I promise u it's worth the $ for the ride.
