Just insane. There is not much to write here. The pizza tells a story words fail to express. An open kitchen offers a glimpse into the home of a chef pouring a love as hot as the oven that chars the crust. They weren't busy, so they went 50/50 on a pie for me. One had sausage, one with some eggplant and mushroom. Both were perfected. A creamy sauce melted along side the sausage. The crispy eggplant atop the other half had a lovely little crisp that gave texture to a crust of pillowy proportions. To end it all with a lovely shot of espresso and good conversation with the server was more than i couldve ever needed after such a religious experience. Come hungry, come happy. Stumbled upon Che Bonta after a nice long walk and we were starving! We chose a Margherita pizza and a marinara pizza. Both were fantastic!! The thing I love about Italy, is that you can eat almost an entire pizza and NOT get heartburn because the ingredients are so so fresh & pure. Absolutely loved this meal!! read more

Great pizza, I had a sausage and pepper pizza (7.5/10)! The view of the coast was nice and the service was A1. The only thing I will recommend at no fault of the restaurant was bug spray! We were eaten alive and made it hard to relax and enjoy our experience. read more

Che Bonta is a cute little cafe in the small town of Praiano. The tables are staggered up the large steps to the cafe. They serve fresh healthy Italian food. Their salads are fresh and tasty. We happened upon Che Bonta seeking shelter from a rain storm. We were welcomed in like family . The food and service were amazing. We sat inside at the only remaining table and were able to see how this lovely family owned business runs . We wish we had found this gem earlier as we left the next day. Amazing food, great atmosphere. My wife and I stayed at an AirBnB very close (0.1km away) and we ended up coming every day of our 8 day trip. Reasonable prices, good pizza, good entrees, good music, we always had a great time. Oh, and great staff! read more

We went based off of a recommendation, however, the service and food did not live up to the hype. The waitress questioned the amount of food we ordered (we hadn't eaten all day and we're really hungry from traveling) which made us feel awkward. The food was ok, lacked depth and flavor. When we ordered dessert the waitress rolled her eyes at us. She seemed very friendly with the other tables though! read more

This was such a unique restaurant because it's located on cute stairs. They have friendly staff, the food, and drinks were all delicious! The price was even better! This is a must try! The only negative thing I have to say is that there were too many flys and it was annoying preventing them from touching our drinks and food! read more

Got this for "take away" during a rain storm. Unlike most places on the Almafi coast, you could place the order online for pickup. We got a pizza, the zucchini pasta, salad, roasted veggies and the chicken breast and fries. Nothing was extraordinary but it was all good. The pizza was solid, Neapolitan style. The pasta had good flavor but the pasta was a bit over-cooked. The veggies were tasty and the salad was as expected. The fries and chicken were pretty good, likely frozen but hit the spot. This place is BANGIN!! Not kidding. This unsuspecting little corner joint hasn't gotten enough shine one yelp. We had one pizza and one calzone, both were lights out 11/10. We had the local red & white wines which were average, but beyond that nothing was average. The crispy bacon & onion pizza, calzone, and shell pasta were among the best we have ever had in Italy (between Bologna, Florence, Rome, Cinque Terre, and Amalfi). Also the best we'd had among Positano, Praiano, Amalfi, and Ravello. The servers were also friendly, efficient, and provided excellent service. We have stayed in praiano and there are so many local restaurants near our location. We have been here twice during our stay. Amazing and friendly staff. Family owned and excellent food. The pizza is delicious and honestly, we went to positano post hike- pizza was not good. Probably didn't go to the right place either but either way, I recommend the pizza here and everything else. Order your limoncello post dinner as a degistivo! They also do take-always of you want to bring it back and eat at home. read more

Terrible service. Red wine served chilled. We sent back and ordered a bottle of chianti instead . Had to request bread which was served in a bag without giving us bread plates or butter. Sea bass filet had many bones in it. Inedible. Dish was sent back and ordered spaghetti with clam sauce instead. That was never served. Waiter never asked if we wanted dessert nor gave us a bill. After waiting a long time we asked other people who said we had to pay at the register with our table number. We were never given our table number. read more

This is the place to go for an easy lunch or dinner when you really want just a laid back night "out in town". Not that there is so much of a town to conquer in Praiano The pizza and the pizza specials are all really delicious - and compared to other restaurants very reasonable priced. The house wine also really makes a girl happy. The seating on the stairs in city center is quite charming, as is the music - if you are a fellow secret pop music lover The only thing we did not enjoy too much was the cannoli dessert - I should have invested those calories in another glass of wine or not pizza. Still: absolute recommendation! read more

We were sent here by our hotel as it's open 24 hours and everything else was closed in the afternoon. So I wasn't expecting much. But WOW. Best pizza I've had in my life. The server recommended "The Sophia" pizza--the stuff is filled with ricotta, with a pesto base. They add cherry tomatoes, basil and buffalo mozzarella on after the oven. Perfection! Highly recommend and good price. read more

Amazing place I would recommend this place. Was at the hotel and kitchen was closed and I called the owner was amazing persons took his time and explained everything to me and delivered my food at 11:30 pm. Now that food is local Italian best I ever had. read more

We stopped here 3 times, the last time for dinner, the first two for beers. Our apartment in Praiano was just up the stairs on via Marconi! Service staff is very friendly, particularly Elisa! For dinner we had the Bomba Pizza, Caprese salad and tuna salad. All were very fresh. This is a restaurant better than you would expect for its location. This place is definitely the cheapest in town with delicious, great quality food especially considering the price. The seafood risotto was very tasty... The risotto by itself had so much seafood flavor and the mixture of seafood went well with the dish. My carbonara dish was pretty tasty too. Not the creamy, heavy sauce but instead it was more on the fluffy side and light. The service is excellent. The lady brought out complimentary bread with a couple pieces of bacon and melted cheese wrapped in fresh warm bread. Then she returned and noticed that I had made some substitution for a veggie instead of meat, so she wanted to make sure to tell us that that particular bread had meat in it in case one of us was vegetarian (which is the case). She actually came back with a vegetarian version with eggplant and cheese, which was very nice of her (and it tasted good!). Would definitely recommend this place for a reasonable meal or lunch. read more

Tagliolini Tartufo was excellent and had generous amount of truffle shavings. Veal was pretty good. Rabbit (?- maybe it was lamb- can't recall) was not good- made with an Asian flavoring and NOT good. We were satisfied with service and would recommend to others if you're in the area. Well, it wasn't worth building a trip around it, but we did really love Amalfi Coast so in the end it worked out. As for this restaurant, I wouldn't go for dinner. Food just isn't very good. If ur in the area already (not spending crazy $ to take a water taxi or drive a distance), stop by for a cocktail. Having a drink here is worth it if you're nearby so would definitely recommend that. The bar is the only portion that's part of the cave and truly, many places along Praiano and neighboring areas r built into the cliff so it's not all that special. Unless you're arriving via water taxi, the walk to this place is a lot so wear shoes that u love to hike in-lol. We paid an additional 15Euro/pp to have VIP seating right along the water. Not worth it. U could easily sit on the patio and have equal views and experience. One of the nice things about Europe is often that they don't rush u as much as US restaurants. Not here. They were ready to grab r order immediately and when we asked to start with a drink and appetizer then order in a bit, they told us they had to put in r complete order at 1 time. Seems odd since they were able to add drinks as needed, but whatevs. The linguini with anchovy (it was more of an essence) was amazing! Would totally recommend it and we don't even like anchovies. The food was AMAZING -- one of the best meals when we were in Italy! I had the pasta with anchovies at the recommendation of our server; I'm not an anchovies gal, but this was DELICIOUS. The ricotta and pear cheesecake was also one of the best that I've had. Would highly recommend. And of course, the views are amazing!

A high quality restaurant would have done it without putting me in the awkward position of having to ask. They would have just done it because serving a frozen dish is just kind of embarrassing ... especially on the Amalfi coast where they take so much pride in the quality of their cuisine. Anyway, I just paid the bill and walked out. Poor etiquette on their part ... you should not put your customers in the position of having to ask. Just do what's right up front.

Our room was simple with a spacious balcony overlooking the water. I do wish they had some modern upgrades and amenities, such as a microwave in the room. The host provided an anti-mosquito plug-in and we didn't have any problems. One point of contention was he did not allow a late check-out. His excuse was regarding other guests and only gave 15 minutes extra. During our stay, we didn't see more than 6 other guests during the morning, afternoon or evening - what other guests? Plus no one was trying to check-in when we left. I don't see how it would have harmed the hotel if they let us stay a little longer. Restaurant - We had the breakfast included in our rate here, as well as a late lunch. For breakfast they include traditional Italian items like cornetto, ham and cheese. For lunch we had gnocchi and fritto misto - both very tasty and filling.
