    Limoncello

Reading the menu, a server came out to cajole us inside. A little reluctant, we decided to give it a try. SO GLAD we did!!! Our server was super friendly. We were seated upstairs in a cute little area with lemon trees. We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, Shrimp Risotto, and Cacio e Pepe with Shrimp carpaccio and Bruschetta. The Carbonara was the BEST I have had ever!! I'll be dreaming of this dish the rest of my life! The risotto was delish (my daughter said), and the Cacio e Pepe very good. We ended with the Delizia Limone and a round of limoncello. Dessert was amazing, but discovered we don't actually like Limoncello! All in all, it was an expensive place to eat, but our entrees were FANTASTIC, and we will remember this place always! So worth it!

I visited for dinner on a Thursday night. It's not far from the main square, so there was a little wait (not more than 10 minutes). It was quite packed and lively once I was sat inside. Service was good, and the pizza was better! I decided to get the quattro stagioni so i could try the different types without getting too much food. When I got it I thought it would be too much, but it was the perfect size! And it was absolutely delicious.

Good starter pizza... Da Franco was the first place I tried in Italy, at first I started to walk out. The guys working there kinda act like you don't exist. No acknowledgment at first, maybe thats due to so many people walking in and looking around and then leaving. But I just grabbed a seat of my own and eventually the server came over, and was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. He even made some suggestions. I kept it simple with a Margarita pizza, since it was my first taste of Italy. The pizza was great, the dough was fresh and crispy out of the oven. The cheese is a star on its own, I think mozzarella can't taste bad anywhere in Italy. The cheese pull was real with this pie. It could have used a little more sauce to make a perfect balance. Pro tip: You are going to eat a lot of pizza in Italy. One thing to remember, the pies are massive. If it's just two people, then order the first standard size...which is typically the only size.

Very disappointing pizza experience.. Mediocre. Dough was rather a flat bread that the napoletan style. Regret to give a negative review but I would not recommend this place. Had a better napoletan pizza back home..

We had our first pizzas of our trip to Italy here. It did not disappoint! The Neapolitan style pies were flavorful but the crust could have been a bit crispier. Casual place with lots of pizza and sandwich choices. Service was efficient...a great lunch spot in Sorrento.

Pizza perfection! Yellow tomato, olive, and n'duja sausage!

Everyone recommended getting pizza at Da Franco during our recent visit to Sorrento. Everyone was right! My wife and I walked in before the dinner rush. We knew that we were going out to dinner later but also that I wanted to try their pizza. Got a nice table in a fairly large restaurant. Wait staff was pleasant and proud of their pizza. They recommended a special pie of the day and I went for it. The pie featured yellow tomatoes, olives, and n'duja sausage. The cheese was delicious and the pizza was perfectly crafted. Amazing crust, all around a great pie. My wife got the prosciutto and mozzarella platter. Of course the mozzarella was outstanding but I want to call attention to the prosciutto. It was the best we had during our entire Italian trip. Flavor was perfect but the texture was melt in your mouth goodness! Wish I had more time in Sorrento, just to head back to Da Franco!

    Capriciosa - really good!

Our friend Dan stayed in Italy for a month in June, ate pizza nearly every day, and this was his favorite pizza of the trip (actually, their other location in Sorrento). This one was right next to our hotel, so we stopped in. Great prices. Ordered a Capricciosa pizza - mozzarella, tomatoes, ham, sausage, olives and mushrooms (€10) - really delicious! and a Pizza Pomodori e Bufala - buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes (€10) - good, but no tomato sauce; did t realize that, and the mozzarella was totally melted. Spritzes we're good, and just €8. Husband got a tell Peroni. Say on the shaded tables outside, with a breeze. Great spot! We ended up coming back for dinner, and got another pizza, this time the quatro staggione (also very good) and a glass of red wine. Great spot!

The way pizza is meant to be. Perfect crust. Crispy, slightly chewy. I strive to make my own pizza dough at home like this. You must fly from California to Sorrento to learn what real pizza is like.

    Quattr Stagioni (for 2 people]

We tried this place because it was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try. The place was really good. We ordered the quattro stagioni. This pizza is made for two people, and it has four different types of pizza: Margherita, Primavera, marinara, and pizza ai funghi. Every option was really good. When we got there, the place was packed, but they found us a seat as soon as we walked in. What I noticed about Italy is that even when the restaurants are crowded, we still get seated extremely fast. For this restaurant, we had a group of four.

Zero complaints! This place was PACKED with to go orders for the win! We sat, waited for the man to come over, ordered, chatted, people watched and peeped the flow. You sit down, order then get up and pay at the register by the door. Pizza was good, perfect late night place.

Solid pizza and fantastic calzones! Friends just arrived from NJ and we wanted a quick bite so they could go back to the hotel and crash. We were a group of ten and the owner accommodated us by pushing two picnic tables together lengthwise so we were all sitting at one long table. Wine arrived promptly, always important! And we all ordered individual pies or a calzone. Everyone enjoyed their pizza. I had the sausage with artichoke hearts. It was good but it didn't have enough mozzarella for my preference. The crust was al dente with crisp edges. No too thick but definitely not thin which is my preference. Too much dough fills me up. I could barely finish two of the four slices but everyone else ate their entire pie. We were offered dessert and limoncello, of course, but my friends were tired from a long day of travel so we just had the pizza and wine. Service was friendly. Inside does get noisy as it's a big room and with all hard surfaces So noise bounces around. We liked it and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed da Franco so much, we went twice! Both times we shared a salad and a saltimbocca. We loved everything we got. Service was kind, and they have great air conditioning and wifi. The second time, we also got a cannoli and it was delicious as well! Definitely worth a stop while in Sorrento.

Since this is a tourist town - all the guests kept it casual while the fleet of workers were well-dressed and constantly 'making the rounds' for refills, food, clearing empty plates, you name it. Favorite quote came from the younger twin: "the potato caught me off guard!" - when discussing his lamb special's side, a single compressed potato that floored him. (He would mention this damn potato the rest of our vacation to anyone that would listen!) One quibble: giving us really whack (dull) knives for two dishes that most definitely needed a sharp/serrated blade. (And of course this was the one time none of the staff entered our orbit to ask/complain for something a bit more effective than a darn dessert knife.) Regardless: a (most) memorable dinner. Pro-tip: keep the young one's eyes away from the series of 'donkey' statutes when entering/exiting the front of the ristorante. (Unless you're ready to have 'the talk' with them while on vacation!)
