My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant our first night in Sorrento. Salvatore , the owner, greeted us and sat us down with a complimentary champagne drink! We had a bottle of wine for dinner which was very good. Our appetizers were truly delicious ! We had the bruschetta ( three different kinds: zucchini , eggplant , broccoli rabe). Our favorite was the zucchini. We also had the parmigiana alla chef (I think that's what it was called). It was like eggplant parmigiana to us, very tasty! For dinner we had risotto and steak. The whole place seemed disorganized. The prices are exhorbitant. We regularly eat at restaurants in San Francisco at home and these prices were even higher than we encounter in sf. This was perfection for me. A five star experience across the board. Three of the four of us agreed. My friend loved everything until she got to her main course. She said her steak was disappointing. It was "dry and stringy". But for those of us who ordered fish as our main courses, it was perfection. Maybe seafood is their strength. Absolutely LOVED the Medallion of mozzarella in carrozza on tomato coulis and black olive sand. I could have made an entire meal out of that. We then had the pasta linguine with "scapece" zucchini and burrata cheese from Monti Lattari. Highly recommend. Came out beautifully. I was too impatient to eat it that I forgot to take a pic first. It was beautifully plated though. I had the Wood-smoked red snapper fillet. It had a semolina, lemon and saffron crust, and rested upon roasted potato and basil cream. Delicious. Perfectly cooked. I took a bite of the Sea bass fillet with orange sauce and capers. The oranges are grown in the Sorrento garden. I liked the sea bass even more than my own. Absolutely amazing! We loved our meal here, and we had 2 small kids with us too. We ordered the grilled octopus for an appetizer which was the best grilled octopus I've ever had. Our 5 year old was obsessed with it. The chef brought us out a little tasting plate for each of us which was so fun as well. The espresso martinis are amazing. We had grilled fish, seafood and pasta for dinner and everything was wonderful. The waiters were all so attentive and kind and gave recommendations for other things in the area as well. Such a hidden gem (air airbnb was above it actually) and so glad we ate here!!!! read more

Highly recommend coming here for dinner! We honestly walked by and thought it was a beautiful spot whether inside the restaurant or in the garden. When we saw the reviews we grabbed a reservation and I have no regrets. Ambiance is great, service was great, food was great. We started with the octopus which was beautiful presented and just perfectly basic enough that this was a wonderful combination of roast tomatoes and salt from the olives and capers. Next we split the anchovy garlic pasta which was so delicious (I had my doubts initially) and some sort of white fish over truffle mashed potatoes and smoked. Every flavor of this dish was 10/10 and clearly presentation is outstanding. I would have gone back again if we had the time! In my recommendation list as a must visit if in Sorrento. read more

We were lucky enough to have this restaurant right down the block from our Airbnb and it was fantastic! Every night as we walked by it was crowded (not a huge establishment) and guests looked happy. We had Beef Carpaccio to start and it was delicious. For our meal we shared the wagyu steak and it was to die for! The staff here were some of the friendliest I found in all of Sorrento. We stayed in Sorrento for a week and I think this place was the best of them all. Beautiful atmosphere in the multi level patio and gardens. Staff was very attentive. Food was excellent. We loved the cuttlefish with mussels appetizer, the crusted snapper, and the tuna tartare and pasta. This place was a wonderful surprise. Slightly off the beaten path right in the shopping area of Sorrento. Amazing food and wonderful ambience. All of the staff was great too. We especially liked this place because it was more Quaint and quiet unlike the more tourist spots which were way over crowded. A very different and modern restaurant in the heart of Sorrento. The owner greeted us with a smile and excellent dining recommendations. The menu is small but it doesn't take away from the variety of meal options. We shared a whole sea bass which was deboned table side as well as octopus and carpaccio. Everything tasted so fresh and was well prepared. Their tiny kitchen is right in the corner of the restaurant and the chefs were hard at work preparing everything cooked to order. I wish I knew this pace existed earlier in our stay. The atmosphere reminds me of back home in Grand Rapids. We had spent enough time reading by the pool, so we thought going to the bookstore then a café would be fun. I was looking for a place to get coffee in the afternoon, and we ended up on a back street behind all the commotion. We saw this place and it looked cool from outside so we went in. We weren't really hungry, but ended up ordering the bistro sampler appetizer platter. It was a lot more food than expected, and we couldn't finish it. Everything was so nice there, and the food was no exception. We got a sample of multiple cheeses and meats and some side dishes from the kitchen neither of us have seen before, but they were delicious. Oh yeah, and the coffee was my favorite I've had all week. Some things they did incredibly well, we wanted fresh well cooked fish and boy did they deliver! The fish was delicate and perfectly seasoned. Service is where they fell short, entrees were served two at a time and it felt like 5 minutes apart. So my table partners were done by the time I received my entree.
