Elegant atmosphere--ambiance and service. Excellent food and wine list
    Ivan B.

Italian restaurant with elegant ambience, excellent service, and exceptional food quality. Offers a thoughtfully curated wine list to complement every dish.

Beautiful seafood on the water and kind service. Really enjoyed the gamberetti sala (suck the sweet heads), the scialatta scoglio with seafood, and the delizia limone for dessert. The caprese was a miss with anemic tomatoes and the uni spaghetti didn't have much uni flavor. The wine list is extensive and I recommend asking for a local well priced rose. Be aware that the hike down to the Marina Grande (and back up) would be challenging for some, and requires decent footwear.

My family stayed in Sorrento during our recent Italian vacation. Pretty much everyone recommended Bagni Delfino. They were all absolutely correct. It was my wife and I's wedding anniversary, while going out to dinner with our teen daughters isn't the most romantic, the vibe at Delfino made up for it. Open to the Mediterranean Sea, our table was outstanding! Gorgeous views of the sea, Vesuvius, and the surrounding area. The wait staff was knowledgeable and professional. Most importantly, the food is outstanding! Elegantly arranged Caprese salad was full of flavor. Freshly made pasta with loads of shellfish was sublime. The mixed seafood platter was an array of perfectly cooked local seafood. Bagni Delfino was one of the top restaurants we ate at in Italy!

Great food and service, very romantic location during sunset. Not cheap, but worth money spent. Portions just right size.

Food was delicioso! The service was exceptional ! Thank you Christian and Guiseppe for the wonderful experience, We appreciate you!! La famiglia Grazia and Susanna, Adrian and Brian from Canada

Chocolate caprese cake with vanilla gelato. Delicious!

Stunning ambience with scenic outdoor seating. We started with calamari which was fresh and delicious but portions were considerably small. For our main courses my husband had the grilled sea bass which was filleted table side and was absolutely delicious! I had sea bass with Roma tomatoes, black rice and mashed potatoes. The tomatoes were overpowering the delicate fish, the black rice was lukewarm sand the potatoes were just ok. I also had the chocolate caprese cake with almonds and a side of icecream which was delicious! Service was courteous and efficient. Overall, I would go back but would order something different.

The food was delicious . Service was good but not outstanding as we had expected, not as attentive as we expected. The atmosphere was the best. So romantic right on the water . A bit away from the other places .

This is a Yelp! Recommended restaurant on the waterfront of Sorrento. And it did not disappoint. A romantic setting, exquisite service and delicious food. And for the quality of the experience, reasonably priced. My frutti del mare was superb. Lightly sauced pasta covered with shrimp, clams and muscles. You L probably need a taxi to find it, but it's worth the trip.

This was recommended by a worker at our hotel and it was the best place in Sorrento where we ate, maybe even in Italy. They provided free bruschetta which was outstanding, the tomatoes were so fresh. We got the seafood pasta and the sea bass and they were so delicious. Best seafood pasta and seafood dishes we've had, it was all so fresh. The lemon dessert was incredible. Definitely recommend and might even go again while we are here.

Seafood risotto and scialatielli pasta with seafood

We are lunch here on our first full day in Sorrento which happened to be the only day it rained. We were able to sit by a window looking out onto the water and enjoyed the beautiful view. Food was amazing! I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the scialatielli pasta with seafood. The fried calamari we started with was also very tasty. I found this place based on google searches for best restaurants in Sorrento, and locals also recommended the place along with the others in Marina Grande. The prices here were not cheap, but worth the trip. We came in for lunch right when they opened and were able to seat us with no reservations.

Not only was it a wonderful surprise to end up dining right by the water, but even with a line out front, we somehow got incredibly lucky and were seated on the patio completely by chance. I noticed what looked like the owner (or perhaps the general manager) walking around, checking on guests, and helping with service, which added such a warm, authentic touch. Like many restaurants by the water in Italy, the seafood here is incredibly fresh ~ and this place is no exception. We ordered the seafood platter, grilled vegetables, and ravioli with marinara sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, right down to the bread. We also enjoyed some Prosecco, which paired perfectly with the meal. The view was stunning, and the whole restaurant buzzed with lively, happy energy. I would definitely return ~ not only because it was surprisingly affordable, but also because restaurants like this, with their true authenticity and old-world charm, are my favorite. One small note: the bathroom is on the second floor, so if you're older or have mobility issues, just keep in mind there's a set of stairs to climb. But that's very common across Western Europe. Fun fact: This beautiful little spot in Marina Grande has some real cinematic history. Sofia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, while in Sorrento filming Dino Risi's famous 1954 movie "Pane, amore e..." (Bread, Love, and...), actually sat at the tables of Trattoria Emilia. How amazing is that?

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.

We got bad vibes the day before when we went to check it out...the Maitre'd/owner(?) completely ignored us as we stood waiting to talk to her about seeing a menu and making a reservation. Came back later and made reservations for the next night (with another guy) and as one other reviewer mentioned, there was ONE waiter for the entire place (w/helpers) but WTH?? Everything took forever...including the bill we wanted to pay and get out of there! We started with the assorted app selection and only 1 out of 3 of them was pretty good (almond tuna). I ordered the mixed grill fish and there was absolutely NO taste...had to add salt and lemon and still nothing. Was also served lukewarm. My daughter got the sea bass and it was pretty tasteless too. And the lemon slice she asked for never got delivered. It was almost like they were trying to ignore us. When the waiter FINALLY came to clear the table he could see I hardly ate anything (of a very pricey dish) and didn't ask or say anything. We had to get his attention and wave him down several times for the bill. Such an awful experience and so disappointing...especially after we had two amazing meals in Sorrento that week (highly recommend Delfino's and Donna Sofia). And this was the most expensive meal of the trip so far- which we just paid and left. Other restaurants may offer another meal or comp the meal but nothing was offered and we didn't ask. We just wanted to leave. We are huge foodies and are just so disappointed with our final meal in Sorrento. We'll definitely be warning our friends to stay clear of this place. Like another reviewer mentioned, there are SO many other restaurants here with great food and service...at a lower price! Don't waste your time here.
