Brisket Bahn Mi
Moniece G.

This mom and pop hidden treasure serves up some very yummy and very satisfying bowls of hot steaming Pho! Don't let the small size fool you, the food here is downright delicious. The dining room has four tables with two to three chairs each. If you have a larger group two of the tables can be combined to create a larger table to accommodate about six people. There was a large group of six people dining when my husband and I walked in. There were two smaller tables available and we sat at the one with the two chairs. If you plan to eat in or have a larger group it might help to call ahead. We placed our order at the counter. I ordered the Combination Pho and a Pork Puff Pastry and my husband ordered the Brisket Bahn Mi, a Pork Puff Pastry and a Cream Puff. I enjoyed looking at the vintage decor as I was waiting for my food to arrive. For a moment I felt like I had stepped back in time. The overall ambiance was of a time gone by. I felt like I was being served food in the dining room of a family member or of a good friend. It felt warm and inviting, peaceful and unhurried which made the entire dining experience more relaxing and pleasant. Once the food arrived it was time to dig in! I thought the Pho was PHOnomenal, as the broth was light, and very flavorful! The noodles were of the right texture and in proper proportion to the broth. I didn't need to add anything to the broth which is a sign of a very well prepared broth. My husband said he enjoyed the Brisket Bahn Mi sandwich. He commented on how soft the interior of the bread was in contrast to the crispy, crusty exterior. He liked the amount of toppings inside the sandwich and felt like the sandwich was tasty. We both enjoyed the Pork Puff Pastries and would order them again. According to my husband, the cream puff was pretty good as well. We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again sometime in the near future!

A Dallas hidden gem! This is a mom-and-pop shop but it is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town! Their menu is short but their food is amazing! We ordered the meatball pho and brisket pho. The brisket was so soft and the soup broth was delicious! You can taste how the soup broth was boiled for hours and it was very tasty. It was not salty at all and all the flavor came from the broth! Their service is very quick and most customers order to-go. They have 3 small tables so you can dine in. They also have baked goods for you to choose from.

The pork banh mi from here was perfect. The pickled veggies & cucumbers & cilantro were fresh and crunchy and the pork was well marinated and cooked well. It was the perfect blend of sweet, savory and spicy. The pork pastry was also a nice side- a crispy exterior and soft interiorThe service was also quick and the older gentleman at the front was also very nice. I would highly recommend!

Best banh mi in the area and the service is super friendly! It's a small store with maybe five small tables, but cozy and inviting. But seriously, whenever I'm craving banh mi this is where I go.

Loveeeeeeeee this place! We came as first timers because I had a weird craving on Saturday morning for a banhmi. I read shining reviews so decided to try it out. We got meatball, brisket, and combination banhmis. Alll very yummy! My fav is the brisket and the combination. My husband really loves the meatball. We also got a meat pastry that's SOOOOO GOOD OMG! And the cream puffs that reminds him of his mom's cream puffs. Service is fast, clean and friendly. The interior of the shop is super cute and clean. We decided from today that we will be their regular. I love local place like this that serves clean good food. Highly recommend!

I've been on a bahn mi kick recently and the brisket banh mi at Banh Mi Dalat caught my eye as a potentially interesting one to try. At about $8, it might be the most expensive Banh mi I've purchased so I had some pretty high expectations for it that I honestly wasn't expecting to have met; However, it it not only met the high bar I had set for it but it ranked among the some of best I've had. The brisket seemed to have been cooked in a slow cooker and falls apart easily in your month (perfect for a sandwich). It was very flavorful and the star of the sandwich for sure. I took mine to go so that gave the meat juices some time to soak into the bread a bit leaving me with a nice mix of moist, flavorful bread while still retaining a crispy exterior and not being overly soggy. Wonderful overall with a couple bites with a bit of a kick from the jalapeños. With the average Banh Mi price here being a bit under ~$7 you can certainly find them cheaper elsewhere, but if the rest of the menu is as good as the brisket one was then I'd say you are still getting a pretty good value and quality for the price still. I'd highly recommend the Brisket Banh Mi here for anyone that has been thinking of checking this place out.

Cute local owned place, with great banh mis! Average pricing starts at 6.75 per banh mi and goes up from there. which seems a little step at first, but would definitely prefer to pay that to a local place versus a chain. The quality of the banh mi is good, and for the price, the sandwich is pretty full. They also offer pho and boba drinks which we'll try next time we visit. The owner was very nice and prepared our order quickly.

Genuinely love this place and can't say enough positive about it. It's got a small interior with a tv silently playing the local news, a radio on the classical music station, and an incredible smell. The staff is genuine and the menu is simplified. My food recommendations are the brisket and meatball pho (meat servings are generous) the brisket Banh mi (the bread is seriously perfect and the meat is moist and flavorful with fresh flavorful veggies) and my absolute favorite- the pork pastry. Come here for a soothing breakfast with someone you love!

Friendly service. However, I wasn't a fan of the banh mi taste. It was really differently seasoned than what I have gotten at all the other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to.

Mango boba!

There is nothing better than a great local roaster with a coffee shop attached, right? Well wrong!…read moreWhat about a local roaster with a coffee shop attached AND they offer tours? Even better right?? Well welcome to Parks Coffee! I've driven past this place so many times on PGBT that I googled them and saw they offered tours. So I immediately booked one and have to say it was well worth the cost. You get to see the behind the scenes and understand more about the process of making coffee. There is even a tour you can request in which you can roast your own bag (details on their website as it may change from when I post this). At the end of the tour you get to try a sampling of their single origin coffees that are paired with bite size pastries from a local bakery, La Casita, that were delicious! The pairings really brought out the notes in the coffee and even I felt like a coffee sommelier! Plus after the tour you get a discount at the coffee shop and it applies to their sweet shirts. Overall I highly recommend checking them out and taking the tour. Their coffees were great and the tour was enlightening.

Parks was my go to coffee shop last year and the year before that! I would always come here to work…read moreor study with friends. The inside is so spacious and there's ample amount of seating. It does get busy but never too crazy! Nor does it get super loud in there either which is perfect for studying. The coffee here is also great! They have different coffee special drinks every month and I usually try those or I get my usual lavender latte. I love this coffee shop and I'm so glad it's close by. It's still my go to spot!
