You did it! You provide sausages I actually enjoy!! Huzzah!! Went here at the tail end of May for a free comedy show we accidentally stumbled on, and to get it out of the way; that was hands down the funniest comedy I've been to in town and the only one I didn't have to pay for, so I feel like it kind of offset all the money I've spent at crappy shows. But as for the restaurant itself, we are so coming back. The food was delicious, the selection is on the insane side and I love it, the prices don't hurt, the drink selection is perfect with the food, and the atmosphere is Mwah! Chef's kiss. But that's not the best part, oh no. The best part is the service was above bar to the point we were still talking about it two days later. I don't know if that's the owner or the manager, but he's the absolute friendliest most enthusiastic server I might have ever had. This spot has been recommended to me by a half dozen people and with some friends visiting, they had already pegged this as a place they wanted to go! The atmosphere is low key sports bar, with picnic tables and some high tops to sit at. We ordered a few different sausages [regular, Bratwurst (which came out as a regular sausage unfortunately), veggie Apple sausage, and duck]. We also got fries and the large pretzel with cheese. Before we got our food, they came out with a little appetizer of fresh (super soft) bread and their spin on chimichurri (delicious!). The pretzels came out next and they were decent - I'm glad there was some chimichurri leftover because the pretzel:cheese ratio was off. The French fries were delicious but a little soggy. Everyone's sausages (minus the Brat that wasn't) were well received minus the veggie one. The veggie (mine!) had a good taste and a decent texture; I can't personally comment on the rest. What acn I say. Bangers and Brew is beyond good. If I could add more than 5 stars I would. This place is my new goto comfort food in the Euegene area. The food is great, the beer is cold and the staff is friendly. The Bacon Gorgonzola Fries are extraordinary. Just WOW! My wife got the Chicken Basil and she loved it, was not over powering with basil. Had a nice rich flavor and you could taste the chicken and the basil. I had the Alligator Andouille with caramelized onions and jalapeños and my gosh, I could of died a happy man. That was beyond delicious. My second banger (yes, to do a proper review I need to eat 2) was the Chicken Jalapeño and wow, not sure which I like better. FYI the curry ketchup is really good! Let's talk about the decor. This German style beer bar is specialized in sausages. They have a big selections of different sausages including lamb! And they even have vegan sausage which is also yummy! Bangers & Brews has some darn good food! I'm from out of state and we found this place on Yelp and everything we tried was exceptional. The Wild Boar Sausage is amazing, the pretzel is great too. Make sure to get their bacon fries with cheddar cheese or the Gorgonzola cheese. Also, save room for dessert even though it will hard, because cheesecake in a jar is to die for! B&B is outstanding! Originally starting in Bend, Eugene has been lucky enough to have its own location as well. A banger is not only a great song, or a busted car...but it's a sausage! And B&B does it so well. The Bangers range from Pork, Chicken, Wild Boar, Duck, Lamb, and even a Veggie option. I think there's more, but that's what I can recall. They bring out a basket of bread and chimichurri for starts, and that chimichurri is delicious! Every time I've visited I've ordered the Bangers and Mash. A Pork Banger on a bed of Mashed taters, with gravy. It's friggin' delicious, and for $10 you can't go wrong. They have a great selection of local brews, and the staff is extremely friendly. But it definitely makes me wonder if my next random combination will taste good! Ahh the paradox of choice. Basically, I think it would be nice to have a few options on a suggestion board (or a "combination of the day") for people who have no idea what would go well together. this + paying $9 for a hot dog (that could've been potentially gross with bad decision making) made me knock a star off. Anyway, sweet potatoes fries were perfect! Very crisp and perfectly seasoned. I liked the thickness of the cut as well. I really enjoyed the snack of bread and chimichurri was amazing! 5 stars if I was judging only on chimichurri. Overall service was nice and the staff really went above and beyond to practice safety protocols for COVID. It's been hard to respect a lot of businesses lately because their inability to follow guidelines, to me, translates to a disregard to the safety of the community!!! After hiking several parks in Eugene had to try the local bar that had the best food and beers on tap. Two yokels from Arkansas welcomed (#WPS) served the bars rendition of chips and dip: warm bread with dipping sauce of cilantro, garlic, spices in olive oil. AMAZING. Beers were all Oregon, I leaned into a lite IPA the man had a heavy IPA, did not disappoint. The bar servers were friendly and allowed us to sample a few before we decided. Don't be afraid; the owner and servers were knowledgeable. CAN NOT go wrong with the traditional banger with your sauce on the side, caramelized onions and fresh tomatoes topped off mine. Smoked pork banger with sweet peppers and grilled onions was the choice for the man. Curry ketchup on the side. The people that work here are super friendly and attentive. I've gotten multiple combinations of food here and they're all good: I've gotten a veggie sausage on a salad, bun, and mac and cheese. This location has been a lot of things in the past, but I like this set up, they've even installed a garage door like many new brewhouses have been doing. You order at the counter, self serve for non-alcoholic beverages and then pick a seat which may or may not be somewhat communal depending on how busy it is. I ordered the spicy Italian brat with grilled onions and jalapenos with a side of the garlic aioli. My husband ordered the smoked polish sausage with cheddar and grilled onions, no sauce. It probably took around 10 minutes to get our food but before that, an employee gave us a small basket of bread with the chimichurri sauce to try. She warned us that it was a bit more balsamic that day but I really enjoyed it. They must be trying it out and giving people free samples. My brat was good but was certainly not spicy, not even with the jalapenos. More bun than brat. My husband said he enjoyed the polish sausage. Definitely a step up from the stuff you make at home. It does seem a bit pricey for the brat and two toppings. They could also expand their topping/sauce options, like adding bacon, salsas, corn, nacho cheese, etc. I'd like to return and try something more exotic, like the alligator andouille! read more

It's all incredible! The food, the atmosphere, it's all so good. I enjoyed the Reindeer sausage with some grilled onions, sweet peppers, and chimimayo. Rudolph might need to pull a little harder next year... The sausage was absolutely incredible. I don't have enough other descriptive words to make you want it more. Just look at the picture and go buy one. The "small" bacon gorgonzola are both incredible, and a great value. I think it was $4 for a good sized basket of fries with generous portions of gorgonzola and bacon. Definitely rich, but worth the extra laps. Lastly, the beer selection is on point. As soon as we walked in, Darren (One of owners) was immediately there to help. He explained how ordering worked and what specials they had. Great customer service in this town is very hard to come by, but Darren and his staff blew it out of the water. I just love Bangers & Brews. I really appreciate that they have such satisfying and delectable vegetarian sausage options. I get to enjoy their hefty bar food menu without making sacrifices to my diet. This was the first time we ordered from here since the Pandemic hit last March. My husband got the bangers and mash and their bacon gorgonzola fries. I picked out their smoked apple veggie with cream cheese, sweet peppers, and chipotle sauce. The strength integrity of my bun did disintegrate rather quickly though. It just couldn't hold it's position under the weight of my toppings and banger. That didn't stop me from enjoying it. Just had to bust out the silver wear. We loved the food. We just found that it is more enjoyable when consumed at a bigger social setting than alone on our couch while wearing sweatpants. There is just something so satisfying when ripping parts off a pretzel, picking out the best fries, or shoving a banger into your face when surrounded by friends and other company.
