Such a cool place to come grab a beer, on tap, and hang with friends. They have some epic beers to try with great prices. I grabbed a citrus beer and paid $5 for a 16 oz. They have 3 sizes and a lot to choose from. So many options from fancy beers like the "Belching Bever" all the way down to "Coors light." There is a variety of seating options from high top tables to couches. I didn't see food and have no clue about that besides a few bags of chips on the counter. The service was great. The guy working was very attentive and checked on us several different times. At about closing time he even came around and asked if anyone needed to use the bathroom before he turned the lights off. That was such a good customer service thing to do! He also didn't pressure us to leave at closing time. Ok, past closing time. This guy was so patient. Thank you!! The selection was okay, not as many as my regular haunt but good enough to satisfy the thirst. But I will not be returning. The help this visit was fouled mouth and apparently bothered by my indecision of which card I wanted to use to pay. The impatient attitude tended towards to smallest tip allowed by the electronic sales software, which would been zero if the foul language was used earlier. It is one thing if the clientele is mouthy, but the help should always be above it. Not returning based on the atmosphere alone. read more

Nice new Growler station and bar in the Delta area by Home Depot. Comfortable chairs, flight of beers that can include any beer they serve, including 2 Towns Cider, and they do Kombucha Mama (today they had pina colada as well as another flavor). There seem to be a lot of these growler places suddenly popping up around town. I question whether there's a market for all of these, but oh well. I hope this one does well since it's a convenient location and a place that people can easily visit on their way home from work. read more

This is a nice little place to hang out and have a beer. Their beer selections were quite varied, which is good, and average priced. We got a growler of stone chai spiced imperial stout. UHHH - mazing!!!! The growler only cost $7 and to fill it, it was $16. The bartender was friendly and she let us have as many samples as we wanted. The only down side to her was she didn't seem very knowledgable about the different types of beers, ales, porters and/or stouts etc. other than that it was a great experience and I will be going back. read more

Great little public house with a nice variety of beer specifically and also has cider, wine & kombucha on draft. They feature a lot of Oregon beers but you can find some California beers also. Great selection of IPA's fo-sho! You can also bring in growlers to fill, although I generally just have a pint. Perfect for meeting up with friends or just flying solo to catch the game on one of their 2 flat screens that they have the volume turned down on, so no annoying commentators or commercials. Nice ambient music, not too loud. They don't serve food but have some nibbles to buy and they allow you to bring food in (your own) or from their neighboring Mexican restaurant El Kora. Also, Jersey Mikes is a stone's throw if you want a sandwich. Outdoor seating in the form of picnic tables and adirondack chairs on sidewalk in front of tap-house, weather permitting. And a nice set of seating choices inside to choose from. The servers are always friendly and are happy to let you sample anything you're curious about on tap. Two weeks ago I would've given this place 4.5 stars, with the .5 star only due to the fact that they only have have one bartender working open to close by himself. Loved coming here as I'm retired and it's a short walk from my house - loved the bartender (Zack?) and the home-like atmosphere. Apparently the owner('s) decided to make a change and its already losing that relaxed appeal that drew me to this place. I left there tonight after hearing that changes were made and no longer feel this is the place for me. While the beer is ok, it was the location & the company behind the bar that I grew to love about this place. Had a long talk with a few of the regular friends I've met there and we'll be finding another place. So long, Steel Pail - it was fun while it lasted. read more

Part of me wants to not post a review because I feel like this place is North Eugene's best kept secret. Always lots of beers and ciders on tap, flights available, and friendly service in a nice, relaxed environment. If you're hungry, you can order food from the Mexican restaurant next door (El Kora). Great place to stop in for a beer or two. read more

With the craft beer scene being so big up here in Oregon, I was grateful to have someone like Collin help guide me through the different beer options. I don't like IPA'S but I want to, and he knew just what to recommend when I was feeling adventurous enough. It definitely felt like I was welcome here, and I'm glad I came. Absolutely love this place. Craft beer Splendor served at the appropriate temperature in a comfortable environment. The selection here is ridiculous; combining notable local brews with a few other gems. There's no food menu but I seemed to soften on this point upon consuming my 4th (or 5th?) round. For me..I really like this place! Clean, convenient location (right next to a pretty good Mexican food restaurant, Starbucks and Home Depot), friendly staff, nice selection of beer (& more). Overall this place looks nice inside and out, the selection of beer is really quite good, lots of regional stuff that should satisfy pretty much anyone who likes beer (on this side of the country). The beer on tap seems to rotate regularly as new seasonal beer comes available or they try something new. You can also sit and have drink, watch a game ( I've always seen sports on--good choice!), they also have live music from time to time. though I go pretty much for the beer. Beer on/from the tap tastes a lot better then bottled...as long as you don't let it camp in the fridge too long! The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and more then willing to give you a sample of pretty much the entire line of beers available before you fill up. definitely give this place a try. If you want half a beer for $5, this the place to go. I ordered an imperial IPA, 8% and my wife ordered a Stout, 7.2%. Same price. For some reason they only gave me 1/2 a beer because it was an imperial. If you feel like getting ripped off, this is the place to go!!! read more
