My husband and I got the Bambu Special less ice and 75% sweet and Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie. The Bambu Special is usually my go to. It's so refreshing on a hot day! It is coconut juice with toppings. In the future, I would get 50% sweet or less because it was still very sweet. The Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie is basically Vietnamese yogurt with strawberry blended together! The worker was attentive and friendly!

Bambu knows how to make these dessert drinks. I get extra shaved ice because I like to stretch out my drinks. Plenty of seating and parking. However, some characters that loiter around could be a bit annoying and/or scary so location could be an issue here. I usually get the Bambu Favorite so I can have the chewy goodness of all the ingredients. I also like their Thai iced tea. Service is quick and easy. Seating inside, very cozy hanging out.

I love Bambu and try to search for a location whenever I travel. Recently ventured down South for work and found this place. The decor is so pretty, plenty of seating and parking. I ordered my usual favorite, 3 color drink. It was delicious.

1. The drinks were refreshing and not sweet! I really like the density of the mango smoothie! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! It has a high ceiling! 3. There were many indoor tables! One of my favorites place for desserts! They have a variety of concoctions for smoothies, Chè, fruits mixed with boba and milk tea drinks. The mashed avocado with durian is da bomb! Avocado mixed with all sorts of bobas and a scoop of durian into the mixture. Served with shaved ice and condensed milk! The Chè ba mâu(Tri color) is quite good as well. Not overly sweet and just enough hint of coconut milk within the mixture. Order at the counter and they will call when ready! Cute little place to sit and enjoy your dessert drinks!

Used to go to Bambu in Irvine until it closed down. Stumbled on this place while in Garden Grove. Located across the Regal Movie Theater. Looks like a hole in a wall from outside but is actually quite nice and spacious inside. Decor modern/trendy with lots of comfy bench seating. Ordered my go-to #1 Special with Lychee instead of Longan. About $10 for a Large. Tasted just like I remembered. Sweet, refreshing, lots of soft green jelly, coconut, lychee, basil seeds, coconut water, shaved ice. They have a kiosk for orders as well but no option to sub items. No complaints.

my friends and i were craving bambu and decided to come to this location instead of the one in westminster. the aesthetic of this location is extremely cute and clean. upon entering, we noticed that there was only one worker doing both front and back of the house duties. i ordered the awesome trio while my friend ordered #10. we waited around 5-10 minutes before receiving our order, which is pretty fast for a one man team. the dessert was delicious & i would definitely come back!

Walking into the place, the decorations are warm and bright. Beautiful decor of city and nature settings. Plenty of seating with bright colored booth seats. They have so many photos of the menu items that lists ingredients to help make a decision. We ordered #2 (Bambu Combo) and #10 (Bambu Favorite). The decision I tried to make was to avoid coconut meat since I'm not into coconut (but the milk is good though). You order at the kiosk and staff is friendly, we asked if they serve just the ice cream itself (since I saw mango and ube flavored ice cream) but they directed us to packaged ice cream in the freezer at the front. We ordered and got a number, sat down to wait, and once we got our order we decided to take it to go and explore a nearby Asian supermarket! The drinks were delicious, I very much preferred the Bambu favorite but both were great. Usually, after mixing everything, I would eat it with a spoon. But instead I waited for the ice to melt and used a boba straw to drink everything.

My review is based on the cumulative times I've been here but the drinks have always been pretty solid. However the staff is not always very knowledgeable about their drinks. This being said, their online ordering makes things so much easier. Would still come back though

One of my favorite dessert spots to go to! Bambu never disappoints. Upon entering, the shop is well-decorated and the atmosphere was cozy and charming, which made it felt inviting and relaxing--perfect for enjoying some delicious desserts or drinks. I got the Fruit Addict, and my boyfriend got the Taro Lover. Both were super refreshing and satisfying in their own way. The Fruit Addict was packed with a variety of fresh fruits, jellies, and coconut milk, creating the perfect balance of textures and flavors. It wasn't too sweet, and each bite had a fun mix of fresh, juicy elements. It felt like a dessert and a drink all in one. My boyfriend's Taro Lover was rich, creamy, and comforting. If you love taro, this one's a must. The taro was earthy and sweet, and the combination with coconut milk made it extra indulgent without being too heavy. Service was quick and friendly, and everything tasted super fresh. Bambu has something for everyone, from che, milk tea, fruit tea to smoothies, refreshers and so much more! We'll definitely be back to try more!

Craving for a typical Vietnamese dessert so we stopped by and got it to go. The menu has a lot to choose from and majority are quite good. Good service and easy going for order and quick turn around. They got my order wrong. I said I wanted a "Chai Milk Tea" but they heard "Thai Milk Tea." They offered you fix it. But I also had requested for a Large and they said they would have to charge me $1.25 more for it. I was really craving it so I didn't mind. I've never had a Durian waffle before, but they make theirs crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It was pretty good. read more

Their place is very well-lit. Their drinks really look and taste good!! Tried their mangonada and avocado smoothie and they were the delicious! Especially their Mangonada, THE BOMB!! Also tried their pandan waffle it was alright. I was hoping that the waffle was going to be served on a plate since we ate there but it was just in a paper bag but that's okay. Great drinks, vibe and interior! Easy parking available in the lot! Service was good! And the drinks make it all count. I LOVE this place! My Favs: Fruit Addict, Coconut Combo, Bambu Special & #10 Bambu Favorite (the dessert). Next time, I'm going to try the yogurt drinks for sure! Unfortunately, the BAMBU IN SAN GABRIEL is NOWHERE AS GOOD as this one. This location reminds me of the one in SacTown which is bomb.com! Came here for an evening snack after walking around in the hot sun. This place gives me slight Vietnam cafe vibes. Felt nice just to sit down and chat with each other while enjoying Chè. I ordered the summer delight (if I remember the second word correctly) and my friend ordered the avocado chè. I loved mine - it had everything I loved in a chè: perfect level of sweetness, lots of different jelly and tapioca textures, and the addicting touch of mung bean! My friend enjoyed her avocado chè as well and boy was it filling! We ended up having to share that one and it filled us both up so much, we ended up skipping dinner! I would prefer if they added more condensed milk in that one to add a more milky, sweeter taste. Mentally noted for next time though I'll be sure to ask for extra condensed milk. I will definitely return whenever I'm back in OC to try their other chè flavors! Also, as a visual person, I appreciated how they had ginormous pictures of each chè on the wall! Saved me time from looking the place up on Yelp to find pictures of each item to decide what to order. read more

I absolutely loved this place. It was my first time and the owners were so sweet and helpful. I always love going here because of how everything is fresh. They made this che after I ordered and made it very quickly. Furthermore it has a lot of things within it and isn't too sweet (but you can adjust sweetness if you want). Also their waffles are sooo nice. They dont give you the one they have on display but they will make one right at the spot, so you get the pandan waffle fresh and hot. I suggest getting it with coconut or durian because otherwise it is a bit plain. The owner and his wife is super sweet too read more

I thoroughly enjoyed the items that I got!! Pandan + durian waffle are very tasty, they also just got the açaí bowl that had 3 bases, I personally got the dragonfruit one, delicious! My mom and aunt got their Che's, which weren't super sweet, it's actually refreshing. I also got a cup of the vietnamese yogurt, it's not sweet nor is it too sour either, and I really like that. Would definitely go back to have quick snacks read more

I'm a regular customer here unfortunately that's not the case anymore. I usually go here twice a week after work. I order the same drink every time (honeydew smoothie w/ boba) they made me the wrong drink and I politely let them know. The owner was VERY RUDE about it. Her exact words were "NEXT TIME LOOK AT THE SCREEN AND MAKE SURE YOUR ORDER IS RIGHT ". I was so shocked she said that to me. Terrible customer service !!! I really love this place so much but honestly I cannot keep supporting this business. My husband ordered a Bambu combo and asked for no mung beans because he does not like any beans at all but misread the description thinking those were the only beans in that dessert. I kindly asked the cashier to see if we can just get it without the beans at all but he suggested I just order another dessert. Sad because he couldn't just fix my order but would rather make me pay for another dessert. I go here all the time and honestly I was pretty disappointed with their response. I ordered the Number 1 (Bambu Special) and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere is great and the family that works here is incredibly friendly. I like this place but not sure what happened today that I ordered #1 Bambu Special and they gave me dried longan instead of their regular longan making the drink tasted really weird. My daughter ordered #5 Smash Avocado and they put in pandan jelly which is not supposed to be included in the drink. Since she doesn't like the the pandan jelly, she didn't enjoy the drink at all. Please make sure you put whatever the ingredients that you've listed in the drinks on the menu instead of exchanging or giving something that customers don't expect to have. read more

Always so good and friendly service. Our faves are the fruit combo, the number 1 and coconut combo. More like dessert rather than say, boba or smoothies but I love the variety of textures and things you get in each drink! It's not super cheap but I think you get way more deliciousness than say cheap boba haha. Wish We had a bambu a tad closer to us but this location isn't bad. read more

The old man told me to make a custom order and charge me more. Very dishonest and shady. I wanted the fruit addict without some of the fruits. It's just the way he responded that made me so mad. The Bambu on Bolsa never had a problem with this. Would never come back here again. Go to the one on Bolsa. read more

Being from San Jose, I often get cravings for good Vietnamese food and desserts. And while I always search around for good places I've never tried before, I'm always confident going to Bambu for chè and pandan waffles. The owner of this location was really kind and updated me every few minutes that my waffle was almost ready (even though she didn't have to! haha :) ). The waffle itself was delicious, ripping hot because it was freshly made, and the perfect texture of crispy and chewy. I would definitely come back if I get another craving, which, in these hot SoCal days, might be soon! read more

After eating dinner at Rodeo39, my boyfriend suggested that we should get Bambu for dessert. I'm a huge fan of beans in my dessert so, I chose #2 & my boyfriend got #10. Both were so delicious & definitely satisfied our dessert cravings. The pandan jelly (which is included in majority of the desserts) was my favorite! Sort of reminded me of Meet Fresh's noodle jelly. Workers here are also very friendly and kind :-) read more

The owner or manager here is erratic and ridiculous. I tried calling numerous times and they never pick up. I finally go in to order and the person before me was berated for not calling in their large order. Like what the effin hell? No one picks up the phone and you want to lecture about calling in large orders? Please get your act in order; hire more help if you need to. There's no excuse for the way you interact with customers. Two stars for decent desserts, but customers shouldn't be berated because you're frustrated. read more

Bad customer service!!! 4-5stars deserts but 0-1 star service. I called and ordered a large drink but when I got there the drink was small. I then paid and ordered another large drink. When the drink came out I saw very little coconut milk, the whole cup almost filled with toppings only. I then asked the guy that was helping me if it was possible for me to get little extra milk on the side. He went in to get it then the lady (who I saw a few times there) walked out and wanted to charge me $1.50. Really? What kind of customer service is that? First u got my order wrong, I didn't not complain, I was nice enough to pay for it and ordered another drink from your shop. 2nd, you wanted to charge me $1.50 for just 2tbsp of coco milk (yes!! 2tbsp coco milk was half filled in a sauce cup) ? 3rd, I would not ask for coco milk if my cup was prepare at a right ratio in the first place. I told myself not to come here ever again for service like this. Deserts suppose to be happy food but I've never recall a happy, friendly service from this lady. read more

I've been wanting to try Bambu for a long time, but I haven't had the time to go to the one in Westminster. I'm so excited that a location opened in GG! My family and I ordered the Summer Delight (number 4), Awesome Trio (number 3), and Bambu Favorite (number 10). I got the Bambu Favorite. It doesn't come with mung bean, but I asked for mung bean with my chè. The owners and employees are totally accommodating to your desires (you can adjust the sugar level, ice, etc.). Overall, I had an amazing experience at this new location. The interior adds into the aesthetics, which is a plus for me! read more

This was our go to boba place, my kids and I have been going there for a while. We went a couple of days ago my son ordered a new drink and he didn't like it. The girl at the counter offered to put more sugar in it, and it still didn't taste good. I asked if we could get a new drink and the girl said yes but you'll have to pay for it. I told her that my son didn't like it. She said there was nothing she can do about it. I thought that it was unreasonable since he just had a taste and didn't like it. Bambu serves Asian-inspired dessert drinks including authentic Vietnamese Che and coffees, boba milk teas, and real fruit smoothies. Besides being both dairy and gluten free, our Che ingredients are prepared daily in our full kitchen from cutting fresh Thai young coconuts and capturing the fresh coconut water and meat, to preparing a fresh batch of Bambu's one-of-a-kind pandan jelly, red tapioca and fresh taro paste. Even though our core menu is comprised of 80 individually prepared drinks, what thousands of loyal customers of all ages enjoy the most personalizing their drink "Just the Way You Love It". History

Established in 2019.

In 2008, four Vietnamese sisters - Anh, Kelly, Jenny & Julie - open their first Bambu Shoppe in the heart of the Vietnamese community in San Jose, California. Their exceptionally friendly service and large menu of fresh, healthy, and authentic Ch® dessert drinks, crisp boba milk teas, signature Vietnamese coffees, real fruit smoothies, and exotic juices captured the attention of the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Today, there are over 70 Bambu Shoppes located in 22 states and Canada, including our very own unique shop in Garden Grove. Noodles were on the soggier side, I'm not picky about noodles but if you are then this is something to consider. Portions were huge for the price, very happy with that. CASH ONLY. I didn't see an ATM there but I'm sure they had one. Will always recommend and they have a new customer for whenever I'm in OC.

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! This place is a RIP-OFF. They overcharged tax price. Yes. GG has 8.75% tax but we were charged double the tax price. the owner/ customer service is so poor , I asked politely how they compute the tax and the older guy came out and responds defensively and rudely with a condescending voice. Me and my girlfriend passed by this Bambu place today because I heard they have açaí bowl. Not disappointed, tried açaí compared to crave one, I like how it taste, less sweet, very rich flavor, which a lot of different add-on and fresh fruits. The place is always clean and so are the bathrooms but sometimes they are often not stocked. The waffles have been a little flavorless though. They're missing that kick of flavor. Owner would not let you redeem points earned. Why would you even participate in the program and have the kiosks there and not let your customers redeem?
