The most important thing to note is that this restaurant is not around anymore. It has been taken over by the restaurant next door il cantina. But it uses the same menu for the the pizzeria. We ordered a mushroom pasta for 12 Euros and that was decent. The flavors were not outstanding, but it was still good. Probably not worth the price though. We then ordered a ham and mushroom pizza. This was a good size. It is about the size of a medium by American standards. However the crust was a bit burned. We only ordered tap water. When we did so, they wanted to bring a bottle of still water that they were going to charge for, so getting them to give us basic tap water was a bit difficult. They do have a cover charge, as all restaurants in Italy do, but however with that 2 Euro per person cover charge, they give you a tasty glass of white wine. The wait staff is not very attentive, but anyone who does research knows that it is like this anywhere in Italy, so do not be surprised. But one waiter just told me to yell at them when I needed them. They do have an outdoor patio seating which is nice. We sat there and would watch the people walk by. It is RIGHT next to the Basilica. The menu is only in Italian so if you can not read Italian then ordering will be difficult, and the waiters do not speak any English beyond a few words. But pointing always works. The menu would range from about 9 Euro for the cheapest dish and somewhere to 24 for the most expensive. With most things being about 10 to 12 Euro. But overall I would say this place is decent, and you can probably find somewhere better if you want to try. But it is a nice place in a nice location. read more
