Worth the tourist trap line. We went around 11:45 and got our food 30 minutes later. There are actually two stores next to each other so you can get in either line! We got the Tuscana after seeing many people recommending it on Yelp - nice work y'all! It was delicious. All their ingredients are clearly fresh including their bread. We also asked for them to cut our sandwich in half and it was just right for two people.

Fresh baked bread out of the oven. The sandwich is a pretty good size! If you ask the workers they will cut it in half for you! With that being said, ate half of the sandwich and felt so full. I saw many people order just one for themselves and not finishing it. Ordered the Italiano and it was perfect packed with fresh ingredients!!! Would return back when I return to Florence one day! Restaurant is super chill and casual with seating. There's even free restrooms to use which was a nice bonus!

I got the Vegetarian #2 sandwich here, which I absolutely loved Starting off, the bread was crackly, satisfying, and immensely fresh I haven't had this type of bread on a sandwich before, and it was pretty fantastic. You could tell that it was freshly baked by the inside My favorite part of the inside was the combination of the cream of mushrooms and the stracchino soft cheese. My only complaint here would be that there wasn't more of this, as it was spread a bit unevenly on the sandwich. However, when I got to take a bite of these, I was pretty much in heaven due to how good it was. The cheese in particular was unlike any I've had before - and it was so addicting I do think the amount of rocket leaves could've been toned down - and as I mentioned - the full sandwich seemed a bit hastily assembled. However, due to the kiosk ordering, there was essentially no line, and our sandwiches were done in a few minutes Also, these sandwiches are super cheap. I think the meat ones might've been better, but I chose the vegetarian one this time around

This place is kind of for the lack of a better comparison, the five guys of Italy. Saw this chain quite frequently during our trip. It's like fast food with excellent ingredients. I kid you not when I say the Paradiso may have been one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Bar none hands down. I don't even know how to explain it but it's one of one and you have to try it. Would go again and want to make that thing at home.

I picked up my all'antico vinaio at the Florence train station. I'd been meaning to try it before but usually would stumble upon it when I wasn't hungry. Perfect item to eat half at the shop and half on the train or for sharing. The portion is huge! I decided to order the golosa with mortadela (my guilty pleasure ) burrata, tomotato, and pesto. It was delicious! And, the bread toasted to perfection. So so good. It can be a little intimidating choosing from the at least 24 options, so I suggest choosing your meat first and going from there. Apparently they have locations in LA, Vegas and NY. All in all it lives up to the hype! And a must eat while in Italy.

Always a good time at an All'Antico and this one also delivers. Their ingredients are so fresh and flavorful. Also consistently generous; one is enough for two people. The highlight is the bread, so crusty so fresh. I can never get bored of it. Absolutely wortht the hype.

I have seen lines wrapped all over this place. Its essentially a little booth you walk into to order. The day we went there was no lines at all! It was cold and rainy. We took our sandwiches to go and at them at the hotel. All kinds of great flavors and combinations. Theres a location here in Napoli, so I will get another yummy sandwich here soon!

Even though the cheese was juicy, i found the bread to be hard and dry. The mortadella and cheese were really good though. Just didn't like the bread. The shop was very crowded when we were leaving. Hard to find a table also. Very large portion. We couldn't finish and had to take home.

    James K.

Solid little sandwich joint with great bread and quick service. Don't let the long lines scare you. This walk up goes quick and you'll be pleased with the local options. Pick up a sandwich drink and find a piece of history to sit on while you enjoy this local staple. Note, no seating options so plan on getting it to go.

Please feel free to scroll right past my 3 star review and onto the tens of thousands of 5 star reviews... my husband loooooves a sandwich and put this on our must visit list while in Florence. We came on the early side around 11:30am and got through the line in under 15 minutes. There are 3 separate lines that you can get in so the operation is pretty efficient but once you have your sandwich there is almost nowhere to sit. You will see people with their sandwiches all over the place for several blocks in the vicinity. We ordered the Dante and the Inferno and after one or two bites we tossed them and moved on. It seems like they are known for their creams but the truffle cream on the Dante was so rich and completely overwhelmed all the other flavors in the sandwich. The Inferno was just bland, the eggplant was not even a little bit spicy and the whole thing just wasn't great. I know the internet loves this place but our experience was pretty underwhelming.

The best "cold" (room temp) sandwich I have ever had. I went in the middle of the day, so waiting, ordering, and getting the food took less than 10 minutes. Very cool interior which was reminiscent of a deli counter with various meats and toppings everywhere and you could see them building the sandwiches right in front of you. The sandwiches. I got two. The first was a porchetta sandwich. This was not my favorite. Still good, but didn't quite do it for me. The other sandwich was amazing. It was a truffle salami, truffle honey, and pecorino cream sandwich. The bread is a better focaccia. Not as thick, slightly crispier, but so much flavor and still very moist. The honey I think was the x factor. The meat and cheese were very good, but the added sweetness took it to a whole new level. Absolutely delicious and a must visit. See some sights and head over for a top 5 sandwich.

We loved this sandwich place so much that we went three times -- twice in Florence and once in Rome. That's how good it was! My husband's favorite is the Paradiso sandwich. It comes with a generous amount of cream cheese and pistachios, and he especially enjoyed the crunchy pistachio bits in every bite. My favorite is the Inferno sandwich, which has just the right amount of spice and delicious eggplant -- such a great combo. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any flavor here; everything we tried was excellent. The portions are huge. Technically, one sandwich is big enough to share, but we were so hungry that we each had one. And let me tell you, one sandwich goes a long way -- I was still full the next morning! If you're in Florence or Rome, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.

    Victor H.

There are lots of hype on this place. The lines seem long. And there are about three stores with the same name in the same spot. They sell sandwiches with variety of combination of meat, veggies, sauces, and other. They look great, big and they are affordable, about 12-15 euros per sandwich. After tasting them, they taste alright. Just the hype made it sound like it was bettter but in reality it wasn't. They were just normal sandwiches and I had better elsewhere...

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Am I the only one that thought steak florentine was supposed to be served this way? Maybe that's was my mistake but I thought that's how it was prepared in Florence. Anyways, I was immediately suspicious when our waitress asked how we would like our steak cooked and her suggestions were medium or medium well. Uhhhh what? That goes against everything I believe in! The steak came out on a hot stone slab on top of a wooden box. The slab obviously continued to cook the steak so I immediately took off a few pieces to prevent this. The steak was thick and tender with chunks of large salt grains. It looked nice all sliced up but that's where the compliments end. It lacked flavor and ended up cooking to be more medium rare when I grabbed my pieces and then even medium by the time my dad grabbed his second slice. Our waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for the truffle sauce to accompany our steak (my dad forgot to ask for it when we placed our original order) and walked away with a huff to go grab it. The fries came out cold and limp with flavorless truffle shavings on top. I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. Maybe it got too big for its britches and the quality has declined? The one saving grace was the crema bruciata! And the very understanding hostess who gladly pushed our reservation from 7:30 to 8:00pm due to travel difficulties. Whatever the reason, this place definitely missed the mark. You can't walk three steps without seeing a steakhouse here in Florence. My recommendation? Try one of those.
