Delicious and fresh Pan Mexicano daily. Worth the drive to Union City from Hayward.
Tony B.

Stopped by one of my favorite panaderías. A bit pricey now but worth the drive once in awhile.

Angela was great helping me out choose the different Pan dulces, everything I ordered was delicious and prices are really cheap. All made in house felt the love they be putting in it.

They've had some remodels since my last visit and it looks great! It is now more modern. Service was quick and good, I went in the evening and there wasn't a line. I was worried they would be a cash only business but they accepted but credit, debit and Apple Pay! The pan dulce is consistent and always tastes great.

Cute little bakery. No seating inside or outside so be prepared to take your sweets home! The options of pan dulce is incredible! I got a few concha's, empanadas de calabaza , and bread pudding. I did really enjoy the concha's and puffing more than the empanadas but I think I should have ate those on the first day. Service was fast. However, the lady was not the warmest of people which made me want to order quick lol despite there not being a line. That's another thing to consider, this is not a self serve bakery, the worker grabs the bread for you. Try it out see if you like this spot despite the lady. Also, they have frozen drinks available that had alcohol labels on it but I didn't want to ask the lady.

Always heard about this bakery never had the chance to stop by here, just because it's a bit far from my house. But when they announced they had baby yoda roscas, I had to pay them a visit. Let me tell you lol I wasn't disappointed at all!! The bread is made fresh daily, flavors are amazing, and for such a small place they have a really good selection. Their cinnamon rolls and pan dulce are a go too. There's parking right outside so you don't have to worry about looking where to park, the people here are so friendly as well that's something very important in a business. I'll be back for more pan dulce, yearly rosca and pan de muerto thank you

I was looking for a good bakery around my area. Came across this one on Yelp. Went and tried it and unfortunately I will say I'm not planning on going back again. I can always appreciate a good sweet treat and as a Mexican native Pan Dulce is always one of my first options. I purchased 9pcs of bread and didn't realize pricing until I was given my total, nothing there is tagged with a price. I was shocked to see their prices, I was paying to Mexican bread pretty much the same amount I would pay at a higher end bakery shop, some pieces for $3.50 a PIECE that just doesn't happen at a Mexican bakery. Good luck to the business but for me first and last time.

Mexican bread yummy

2nd time going on my day off and beginning my Labor Day weekend 2026…read more I had to try this bakery 2nd time, and bought few more of their brioche doughnuts, shiopan, and 1 shiopan banh mi. I know their brioche donut flavors are 9/10. I tried their shio pan pre-lunch. So good and coated with sesame seeds. I'm trying their banh mi served their shiopan. It's served with their own Bo',a Vietnamese mayo, pickled shaved daikon, cucumber and carrot salad, ham. It's so good because the shiopan has acrunchy exteriorbut the sea salt flavor cuts the richness, and tangy pickled flavors of the fillings. This sandwich is delicious, so good and amazing! Menu today is 5/5. Another thing about their shiopan is they perfected their own techniques of creating a baguette substitute and saviry bread vessel. I bought their banh mi, and was so curious and planned to eat it later. After eating a few bites, it is so good. Their bakeshop and café is still quaint, and tgey have outside seating for patrons. Just a quiet place to hangout or chat with friends, or have lunch. Love this bakeshop.

Guava Cheesecake ($13.75/slice): I didn't eat this personally but I gave it to my friend who said it was so good she licked the box after. Pricy for one slice but it looked like a 1/4 of a small cheesecake.

The coconut macaroons was subtly sweet, slightly buttery, and had a nice firm texture. This was my favorite of the bunch today. The cranberry shortbread also held up nicely, but wasn't as buttery as I would like. The curry puffs are reliably good. I also got their green onion and bacon bread- it is incredibly soft and mild in flavor. I like this one a lot better than the stuff we buy in bulk in Oakland. The paper cupcake (spongecake) was also really fluffy!

There's plenty of parking in the parking lot, despite it being shared by Ranch 99 and some other shops at this shopping center. I even came here on a Sunday and parking was no problem at all. Mary's Bakery is small bakery with friendly staff. You'll find sweet and savory buns, cakes, and of course, egg tarts. The onion bun is pretty good; this is my daughter's favorite because her grandfather always pick these up for her. They greet you when you enter the store. Being a small shop can be a good thing. Despite a smaller selection, you're also not overwhelmed and can easily figure out what to get. This bakery is a little pricier than some other places (such as 85C Bakery), but it's also nice to support the small local shops.

I'd love to keep Pie Dreams my little secret, but out of respect for the proprietor's mad baking skills, it's behind Dino's. The owner is passionate about his pies and shared his philosophy about how pie can make us all nicer, gentler people. I mean, that's not exactly verbatim, but the pie case made it hard to pay attention. On my visit, there were two savory pies (hand pies) and a selection of sweet pies (hand pies and slices). Being a big supporter of small businesses, I ordered 4. All I can say is I'm super happy I don't live closer. The chicken bacon hand pie was delicious. Big pieces of chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce. There may have been some vegetables in it but I was driving and it was unsafe to inspect my pie closely. The caramel apple hand pie was good. Because I'm not an apple pie fan I appreciated that the apples were sliced thinly, not chunky, and I loved the addition of the sanding sugar on top. I ordered the apricot frangipane (AF) for two reasons: it was double-crusted and it didn't have whipped cream on top. I wasn't totally on board with frangipane since my experience with it in boxed chocolates was "meh." Plus they seem to love it on the Great British Bake-Off and it always looks so unappealing. But paired with the tartness of the apricots and a crust that reminded me of shortbread, I think the AF was my favorite, though I haven't tried the blueberry lemon yet. If you love pie, go to Pie Dreams and have a slice or three (no judgment here). If you're not sure or don't think you like pie, go to Pie Dreams. You may surprise yourself.

Hands down they have the best drinks, cookies, macarons, cakes, and now salt bread! I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! P.S. with all these drink places popping up in the area...we still think the drinks at Always Yours not only taste better, but also are of higher quality.

We heard that there had been some long lines recently and that the bread can sell out fast, so he went ahead of me to get in line before they opened, but he said there actually wasn't a line this time. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got two each of the regular and chili oil scallion breads. Once I got to the cafe, I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte. We sat on the bench outside to eat our bread and noticed that it tasted just a *little* like it had been sitting out for a while. I wouldn't describe it as stale, it just didn't have as soft a texture as we expected. However, it tasted absolutely delicious. I'd recommend getting both flavors if you can. The chili oil one wasn't spicy, in my opinion, it just had a kick of chili flavor. The banana pudding matcha latte was a little less successful. The pudding was great, but it just sat on top of the drink. When I mixed it into the matcha, it still wasn't coming through very strong and the drink tasted almost entirely of matcha. It was disappointing because I love banana so much. I think I'd be better off just ordering the banana pudding in the future. I'd like to come back here on a Saturday to see if the bread is a bit fresher, and I'd order the banana pudding rather than the latte.
