I was visiting friend in Phoenix, and she took me here. Having a large cup of shaved ice in the heat after a long hike was the highlight of my day!! Since I didn't know many flavors, I asked staff for recommendations, and got Jamaican punch with pina colada with the cream with side of sour sand which was really good! I like the product, but I recognize a crew being treated poorly when I see it. They aren't fully equipped to pack in the ice. Their hands are going to suffer from working with the shaved ice, and they still get paid minimum wage with terrible benefits. This is why I won't go there again: because I won't support employees being treated poorly and neither should you. Shame on regulars for not recommending anything to the manager nor corporate, such as proper gloves at least. I don't care how loyal you are to the company, because it's the employees and the product that keep the company on its feet. These are hard workers and we see them work quickly. Just a word for the employees: you deserve better! I bet this would look good on a resume, because everyone knows that Bahama Bucks makes you work hard to the bone. If I hired anyone, it would be a former Bahama Bucks employee. read more

This place is great. I've been to two of their locations and both have great and happy staff. Besides the staff let us talk about their product. SNOW! Which is made from shaving ice. My favorite flavor to get here is Strawberry Cheesecake, along with the cream + Ice Cream(wish they still don't have blue bell ice cream) combo which is known as Bahama Rama Mama. This place is slipping. They need some training or a tune up. The last 3 times I've been here, they didnt pour enough syrup. I think they are rushing, but its ruining the product. Today my shaved ice was over sauced at the top and the middle had hardly any syrup. The very bottom third had no syrup, just shaved ice. I dont come here to eat plain ice shavings. This is one of my least favorite locations for a couple reasons. Their Sno is gritty instead of being fluffy like their other locations. Also, when you order "Flat Top" or "To go Sno" this is the only location that doesn't size up my cup so I only get half of my snow I do like Bahama bucks and their thin ice with Stevia is amazing! Just left this establishment after standing in front of 3 employees for 7 minutes. There was no line, there were a handful of people (literally 7 people in the business) and no one looked at us, greeted us, or even politely mentioned that they would be right with us. There were 3 girls there and no eye contact was made. After that 7 minutes, our family of 5 walked out with out even a glance (or spending a dime). My son even ran into the bathroom to assure we weren't invisible. I'm still not convinced we aren't invisible due to the fact that not one of your employees glanced our way even as we walked out. We shall find out at the next place we go to to get an end of the summer treat if we are invisible. And to think these girls make $10 an hour. read more

This place is so fun. Their flavors are great and I honestly like the fineness of the shaved ice. I usually get the blue and pink cotton candy with Jamaican rum. This time I switched it up and did the rum, blue cotton candy and vanilla. Yummy! I like all their options so far and they have a ton of them. They also have a sugar free option as well if you can't have all that sugar. I love this place and especially this location! They have the best staff! The only issue is that if it gets busy (as it tends to do in the summer) they get a little unorganized. Other than that they are on point, they have great suggestions when I am feeling something other than my banana with cream and they are always super friendly. I got what was recommended because they didn't have the coffee drink I wanted. I ended up getting a kokomoko smoothie. The drink was super heavy and sweet. It gave me a headache right away and stomach pains. But it was good except for the soda taste. If I had known it had soda, I would have asked for diet or just taken it out. I don't like regular soda. I'm a big fan of bahama bucks. This one offered a lot of deals through texts. My only complaint with this location is that they put too much syrup in their shaved ice. I get a regular and before I can get to the ice cream it's a slushy, not shaved ice. The power and baseline location is way more busy and for a reason: They put just the right amount! read more
