Grilled Chicken and Mattina Cotto
Daniel L.

The bagels here never disappoint! Been here few times over the past few months! Everytime I am here i try different bagels. This time I got Grilled Chicken on everything bagel and Mattina Cotto on everything bagel. Both are delicious and the chicken is very juice and tender. The staff there are very friendly and they will bring the orders to you if you order for picked. There is a lot of seating area and especially if its a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy your delicious bagel.

Rise and Shine! Ever since I heard about Rise Bagel, I've been craving a really good bagel. Unfortunately, I don't live in SoCal and don't have one near me, so I've been on a mission to find something that could satisfy the craving. I've had my fair share of lox bagels, but this was definitely the first time I've ever dropped $20 on ONE bagel. Sounds a little obnoxious, I know, but after eating it, I fully believe it was worth it. After many trials, errors, and disappointing lox bagels, I think I finally found the one. The thick, smooth cream cheese paired perfectly with the salty, buttery smoked salmon, all piled onto a perfectly toasted bagel. Then you get that little briny, pickled punch from the capers that cuts through the richness of the cream cheese and balances everything out. And when they call this a bagel sandwich, they mean BUSINESS. The second you see it served open-faced and absolutely loaded with toppings, you know they're not messing around. Personally, I actually prefer my lox bagels open-faced because it makes it easier to eat and lets you enjoy each half without everything sliding out after one bite. Is $20 for a bagel slightly unhinged? Maybe. Would I pay it again? Absolutely. If you're a smoked salmon or lox bagel person like me, this one is definitely worth the splurge.

Mortadella & Pistachio (Open-Face)
Qinnan L.

Cute neighborhood spot for freshly baked bagels. Chewy, fresh out the oven bagels and great diversity of menu options for all taste buds. We got the mortadella and pistachio and lox open-faced bagel sandwiches. They are pricey - over 20 dollars each - but very substantial and filling. I love that all of the ingredients were super fresh. The mortadella and pistachio bagel brought me back to Italy. However, the lox sandwich is sweeter than we expected - both because the tomatoes are so fresh and because the olive oil used had a uniquely sweet flavor. Service was friendly and pretty quick. We came on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm and the place was packed. All the seats inside and out side were taken.

Mediterranean Garlic Bagel with Bacon and Avocado

I am usually not a big breakfast person, but today I was in the mood for a quick one. I was recommended this place and was 1 minute away, so I decided to try it out. One thing that I look for when I got to places like this is cleanliness. I can say they passed the test. Things looked clean and orderly. It's a small cafe with one indoor table and few outside ones. As soon I walked in I was greeted by staff member. Since it was my first time I needed sometime to look over menu to decide what to get. I opted for the Mediterranean bagel and added bacon and avocado. I couldn't decide what coffee to get, and asked the cashier his advice. To which he replied the maple and sage coffee was good. I decide to try it out. Mediterranean bagel 5/5 sooo good, they have a variety of bagels to choose from. I was debating between the Calabrian chili bagel which sounded interesting. But decided to get garlic bagel instead. It surely didn't disappoint! It has perfect amount of garlic and was fresh. I believe they make there bagels here in house. I added bacon and avocado to this one, and it took this sandwich up a notch. The bagel was perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and filling. Maple and sage Coffee 2/5 Ok, so I decided to get this one iced (you can get this hot or cold). I was disappointed in this drink because, I couldn't taste the sage at all in this drink. It's such a unique specialty coffee and I would've loved taste a nice balance of the maple and sage. It tasted more like a caramel iced coffee to me. So I went will opt out of this drink next time. Service 5/5 Staff here is friendly the young man that was the cashier; was super helpful and patient in helping me decide on what to order. Now this place is a bit pricy I will say for bagel with added on bacon and avocado it was 20 dollars, and coffee was 7 dollars. Altogether, I spent almost 30 dollars. Overall, I feel this place is a great choice of you're looking for a quick breakfast and coffee. Nice staff, clean, and has indoor and outdoor seating if you prefer to hangout and enjoy the weather on a sunny day in SF.

onion bagel, Bacon & Fig Schmear, egg

delicious bagels made fresh to order! I got the onion bagel ($3), bacon fig schmear ($5), and egg ($3). the egg was creamy and moist, and paired well with the schmear which was yummy but not enough bacon and fig (more cheesy and sweet). staff are nice, there were no other orders and I only waited about 5min.

The portions are great. The food is delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches. The cheese pool was incredible packed with delicious flavor. When you are craving a breakfast sandwich, this is your go to.

Bageletto bagels are big, dense, chewy and so flavorful you'll wonder, "How did I ever accept brand X at the grocery store?" No, Bageletto is worth a side trip. Buy extra, vacuum seal and freeze them. Or drop extra at my house because my son FINNcinerator ate 9 Bageletto bagels in less than 2 days. NINE. It might've been spurred by Bageletto's heavenly fig & bacon cream cheese spread but that's an aria you don't have time to sight read. Just buy everything in this store and go home happy.

I came here with the girls during a bagel sprint around Noe Valley and the Mission. I ordered the avocado smash on a toasted sesame bagel. I really liked the NY style bagel that was dense and had a good chew, but I actually would've preferred an avocado sandwich rather than open face. I would totally come again but probably try different flavors or combos next time.

Egg Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese and Tomato

This was such a cute little store! They had a couple of seats indoors and couple of tables outdoors in front of the store. The inside of the cafe was very aesthetic. Service was super quick between ordering and receiving food. Getting into the food, I think this was a pretty decent bagel sandwich. The bagel itself was on the saltier side (everything bagel). The cream cheese tasted really good. However, I did not like how the contents were practically spilling out as I had my bagel. It definitely felt slightly more messy than other bagels I have had. I would definitely recommend this place. Maybe not for a first date, but a quick lil Sunday brunch.

Coconut Cloud Matcha

Stumbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. This is probably one of the most flavor bagel and schmears I've had in a while. I love the portion and the amount of schmear given. I ordered their coconut cloud matcha and it was amazing! The workers were super friendly too. I love when people genuinely like having a conversation with you. I've gone to many cafes where the workers just don't seem to want to talk to anyone because it's too early but that wasn't the case here! The place is very clean and well kept too. I love looking in the back and seeing the kitchen. It was genuinely a nice treat after a long overnight shift. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Got the garlic bagel with egg and cheese. It had a fluffy egg with a good cheese pull. Sort of cheesy like some bagel sandwiches in SF.

In search for the best bagels in San Francisco brings to my old neighborhood in the Mission District . Finding a good bagel in San Francisco has got easier than in the past. Lots of places are now offering good bagels. What makes a good bagel place even better is ingredients they also put on a bagel like their everything bagel , sesame bagel, and blueberry bagel and they're made from scratch. They also have pizza bagels like their Brooklyn Pizza. I wanted to explore more so I decided to give it a whirl. On a Three Kings Day rare winter weather Mission District stroll , I landed at Bageletto. Inside it had a few tables in the front but in the back there was a bakery making the bagels from scratch. The menu had lots of good toppings to spread on the bagels. They have fresh schemar like the Sicilian Cherry and Scallion Schmear. I ordered the Garlic Bagel with the Lox schmear and it was creamy and cheesy like some in SF. The Lox was savory and blended in well with the schmear. I then wanted to try their Classic Egg & Cheese bagel sandwich and it was tasty. I will say this is in my top 5 places to grab a bagel. I wouldn't say it's the king of San Francisco when it comes to bagels but it is off to a great start. Get bagels made from"scratch" so "catch"and get a new fresh "batch"from onion to garlic you can mix and "match" It's located the Mission District where my family "settled "their bagels are at another "level" they are my top 5 bagel places they should win a "medal" for one of the best bagels in San Francisco at "Bageletto"

Every time we come to the city, we make sure to stop at Bageletto--and this visit did not disappoint! We had the most delicious bagel, and it was the perfect way to start our day in the city. The bagels are fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Bageletto has officially become one of our must-stop spots whenever we're in town. If you love a good bagel, you definitely need to check this place out!

Lox and loaded + smash
Wallace T.

I am torn in the best way. We ordered the Lox and Loaded and the Smash Bagel and the total was $33 which is kind of insane and the only thing keeping it from five stars. The quality also kind of justifies it, the bagel itself is dense, chewy, and legit, and when I asked the staff, they said they make them in-house and they're kettle boiled. It immediately reminded me of the bagels I've had in nyc, and I haven't had one in SF that hit that same itch this well. As for the sandwiches: the Lox and Loaded tasted super put-together -- the cream cheese felt really fresh and house-made, and the smoked lox was solid. The Smash Bagel was also great: perfectly ripe avocado and juicy, sweet tomatoes that tasted genuinely fresh. Service and ambiance were exactly what you'd expect from a higher-end bagel place. We went on a Saturday morning, it was pretty chill, and the order took about 15 minutes, which felt totally reasonable was good time to catch up with a friend. Overall, you're definitely paying a sf premium, but if you want a bagel that actually scratches that ny bagel craving, this place delivers and I'd go again.

My wife and I were meeting someone in San Francisco in the afternoon and we wanted to eat lunch beforehand. We were interested in trying Wise Sons Deli since we have heard so many people praising it. Since we were coming into the city via BART, this location was great. The ambiance is pretty basic; ordinary tables and chairs and only some photos on one wall. You order and pay at the counter and then someone will deliver the food to the table. If you want coffee or water it is serve-yourself. However, the food is fantastic! My wife ordered a corned beef Reuben sandwich ($18.50). It was thick and very tasty. I ordered a House Special Pastrami Reuben that had a smaller Reuben sandwich, french fries, a side of cole slaw, and a drink ($19.50). While it had half as much meat as the regular Reuben, it was still a good size. They make their own Pastrami and Corned Beef and it tastes great. My wife normally doesn't like Pastrami but loved the taste of Pastrami made by Wise Sons. The meat is thick, tender, juicy, and DELICIOUS!

I guess I should elaborate a little more for all y'all faithful Yelp readers. I tried a couple of different bagels at Noe Bagel. The sesame and everything bagels are both generously coated, with a beautiful outer crust that has just the right texture. The inside is soft and chewy. It's a classic New York-style bagel that will satisfy even your strongest bagel cravings. The mini bagels maintain that same excellence, just in a smaller form. Because of their size, the crust-to-center ratio gives you more of the micro-blistered snap that I love about bagels. Personally, I'd choose two or three minis over one regular bagel. The cream cheese is also excellent--well-balanced and smooth. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese. It has just a hint of sweetness that brings out the richness and creaminess of the cheese. And, like many spots in San Francisco, they offer a sourdough bagel. It's quite different from their sourdough bread, but I enjoyed it. If you're visiting, I'd recommend giving it a try. For my everyday go-to, I'd stick with a classic sesame or plain bagel, but Noe Bagel has enough variety to keep things interesting if you want to switch it up regularly. As a bonus, they sell day-old bagels by the bag for $4. You can freeze them, eat them as-is, or repurpose them into bread pudding. You'll end up with an interesting dish thanks to all the different bagel varieties mixed together--but that's part of the fun!
