Small but adorable and fairly new bagel shop with indoor seats. You can purchase fresh bagels, sweets, tea/coffee/matcha and also prepackaged frozen bagels, tubs of cream cheese & fresh juices. They do offer three vegan options of cream cheese - plain, scallion and garlic chilli crisp. I purchased several different bagels and frozen them so I can enjoy them later. Delicious. read more

Mission: Grab brunch from Bagel Daddy - open faced lox bagel, so good- and pick up two "Too Good To Go" specialty bags. We bought blackberry cream cheese to enjoy with our bagels; it was tasty. The best was the lox bagel, extra dill please. Bagel Daddy bagels seem a touch small but then again, we got used to Bageletto's giant bagels, heavyweight vs bantam weight bagel. Bagel Daddy has good bagels, top 3 for ones I've enjoyed recently in SF, in a location suited for carry out and catering for meetings with tech bruhs. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

I was trying to decide between a bagel or banh mi for brekkie, and Bagel Daddy won because they happened to have an impressive drink lineup, whereas all the banh mi spots open during the morning have abysmal drink selections. Just goes to show why it's important to have good food AND drinks. Not only that, but Bagel Daddy was already on my radar and want-to-go list. I ordered a medium (level 2) toasted pumpernickel bagel with vegan scallion cream cheese to eat immediately and a variety of à la carte bagels (egg, pumpernickel, sesame, poppyseed) to snack on later. As for drink choice, which was the primary driving factor for my order, I added a strawberry matcha latte with 5g (the max) of umami okumidori matcha to my cart. I feel like I know the matcha is going to be good when given the option between different varieties of matcha. My order arrived in short order, and I unpacked the goods. The first thing I noticed was an anti-spill sticker taped on the top of the matcha, which was a really nice gesture by the business. Next I noticed how absolutely thiccc the bagels were. The bagel sando was so stuffed that the vegan scallion cream cheese was oozing out of it and into the compostable wrapper. Both the matcha and BYO bagel sando were super tasty, not the best I've had in SF, but definitely well above average, and I certainly appreciate the whole grain option. The only slightly inconvenient aspect of the matcha latte was that the strawberry purée was so viscous that despite stirring it vigorously, it did not incorporate well into the matcha. I kept having to stir it every time I took a sip. Still, it was pretty decent for a matcha latte overall and better in my opinion than some standalone cafés that specialize in matcha. Next time will have to try the samidori matcha to compare. read more

I was on the hunt for a new bagel spot and figured with a name like Bagel Daddy they'd take their bagels seriously. Good deal too, two bagels with cream cheese for six bucks, hard to argue with that. Got an egg bagel and wasn't prepared for what showed up. I take my bagels pretty seriously, and when it comes to bagels, NY style boiled is what I want. This one read more like a soft roll than a bagel. Crumb was open and airy, almost bready, not the dense chew I go in expecting. That texture usually comes down to fermentation and boil time. If you're curious, a New York style bagel density comes from a stiff dough that's cold proofed overnight then given a real boil, which is what tightens up the crumb before it hits the oven. A softer result like this points to a shorter or warmer ferment and a lighter boil, so you get the shine and color but not the chew. Flavor wasn't bad and the cream cheese was solid, but structurally it just wasn't hitting the mark for what I consider a bagel. This might've been better toasted, which goes against what a New York style bagel would need, since a real one should hold up fine fresh without any help. I also ordered two different cream cheese flavors on the side, but it looks like they just gave me scallion both times. Not a bad spot, and the price is right. Just don't come in expecting the same experience if you're used to New York bagel style. read more

The team at Bagel Daddy has a lot to be proud of. You could drop this in NYC and it'd hold its own. It'd fit in with the likes of Apollo Bagels, Ess-A-Bagel, and Utopia Bagels. If you like lox, the bagel and lox here is a must order. Everything about it was perfect. The poppyseed bagel (not toasted) with cream cheese was also great. You could try every bagel/cream cheese combo here and leave happy I bet. The coffee was solid. Better than the coffee at most bagel places. San Fran locals ~ you're lucky to have Bagel Daddy in the area! This place deserves to have a line out the door. read more

Amazing! The pastrami sandwich is delicious and so is the salt bread. The matcha latte has a lot of customization options

Definitely the best bagel available in the area, it has the perfect combination of a crunchy outside with a chewy outside. I also enjoyed their cream cheese, and their variety of flavors has me really excited to come back! The space is bright and brand new with a couple of seats so you can enjoy your bagel there if you want. What prevents this from being 5 stars is the price ($7 for a plain bagel with plain cream cheese) and the wait times ( at least the time I went). I waited about 20 minutes for my bagel which was a relatively simple order. I will definitely revisit this review as I come back more and get a better sample size. Definitely check it out! read more

I came in before heading to the train to go to work. I usually take a lime scooter and I even paused the ride to stop in. I stopped my commute to work and walked in. At first I wasn't sure of where to order because someone was being helped at the register. They finished and the person at register walked away: I thought hmmmm. Maybe they didn't see me. Someone walked in and went to a self service kiosk. I followed along because they have two. A man was working. He greeted me and after he saw me follow along to the kiosk he said " hey sorry I didn't mention we have a self service" I said no worries! That was nice of him. He saw me and acknowledged me, also apologized for not being clear about communication. I appreciated that. The people working seemed like they were very busy. The guy that acknowledged me seemed like a manager or maybe he was just the person who kept everyone's vibe together. He took someone's order and made their coffee right away. Someone started making the coffee and he said don't worry I already got them. I'm sure that made the kitchen staff cooking feel good to work with him. He was on it! The bagel was delicious. It was so fresh I felt like I cooked it at home. I feel like they should have more signage or something about a self kiosk. The people working and cooking are working hard. It would be nice if they could have something in place to not be bothered by patrons waiting for food so they can finish the multiple orders they're trying to bang out. The man working the register, coffee machine.. greeting patrons and checking in on while they eat. He needs to be a lead or something. He made my impatience worth it lol. I had to be at the train in 25 minutes and I got my bagel in 10. read more

I love the large selection of bagels and schmears. Within a week I've tried the breakfast bagel with sausage, the pastrami bagel, the salt bagel with wasabi scallion schmear, and their brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Their everything bagel has a strong garlic taste to it which I love. Their breakfast bagel has been my favorite so far. It's flavorful enough to not even need hot sauce, and that's a huge compliment coming from someone that loves dousing my food in hot sauce. I also found that the salted bagel with wasabi schmear tastes even better after leaving it out for a few hours. Even their cookie held up and tasted great after a day. Every sandwich is made to order from a friendly and efficient crew. This is my top bagel spot so far. read more

They've upped their game. I live close by and would go to Bageletto when I had a bagel jones. That's changed. Delicious bagels. Deep menu. Great value. Only comment is they're closed Sunday which would seem a prime sales opp but I'll respect ownership. read more

I miss NY bagels since visiting NYC a few years ago. When I heard about Bagel Daddy and saw online that their menu has fig cream cheese, I knew I need to check it out on a free Saturday. I ordered their seasonal bagel and chose the fig cream cheese. It was so yummy! It was $6 which is a good deal. Too bad the location is out of the way for me since I live in the Richmond district and work downtown SF. Taking the bus from here back home took an hour and it's too far from work, so I could only visit again on a free weekend. What I really like about this place is they don't force me to buy a tub of cream cheese since I like to try different types of bagels and cream cheeses and want variety. There are 2 restrooms in the back. read more

I ordered the pastrami bagel sandwich. There was literally one slice of pastrami that only covered half the bagel. The other half was mayo, mustard and pickles. I was dumbfounded. $14 Check your sandwiches before you leave. I'll never go back. read more

SF is getting more bagel shops, yay! The inside is clean with some seating. They have bagels, schmears, sandwiches, and drinks to choose from. To order, you use the tablet. You can do pickup ahead or for delivery via DoorDash. I noticed some unique flavors like kumquat, blackberry mint, and garlic chili crisp. I enjoyed my bagel (open face!), which was also quite flavorful. These bagels were crisp on the outside, yet soft on the inside. There's metered street parking around the area. read more

I was excited to try Bagel Daddy because it is down the street from my work! They have great options and don't over charge. I love the seasonal cream cheese and bagel options. The people working it are also helpful although it is ordering through screen. The space is small but there is some seating. My only critique would be I prefer a more chewy & dense bagel. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I got the jalapeño bagel with scallion cream cheese and I added bacon. The bagel was huge and fluffy inside. I wish it was actually spicy but oh well. Let me also say that the bacon was a so good and they added FOUR DOLLARS worth of it for sure which is what I paid to add it . I would come again for sure read more

For the vegans, huge win because today was my first day coming in to try a bagel and they just got vegan cream cheese!! Price was super reasonable for the area as well :). Everything bagel with vegan cream cheese, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber for $10.86 (pre-tip). Excited to come back soon ! read more

I have a meat allergy and ordered egg and cheese with no bacon. The bagel came with visible pieces on it and clearly smelled like bacon and bacon grease. When I raised the concern, the cook, cashier, and another staff member all denied it was meat and said it was "burning from the bagel." That response is dishonest and dangerous when someone is explaining an allergy. I also took a photo of the bagel showing the pieces and grease. Mistakes happen, but dismissing a serious health concern is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. In respond to the owner comment For clarity, I observed the process when I was there. The eggs are cooked in a separate pan, then moved onto the grill where bacon is cooked so the cheese can melt, and then taken to the prep table where sandwiches are assembled and cut using the same surface and knife. A friend also visited today and observed the same preparation process. The pieces on my sandwich were red, thin, crispy, and oily, and it smelled strongly of bacon grease -- not egg or bread. I ordered no bacon due to a meat allergy. When I raised this, it was denied instead of being acknowledged or remade. This is a serious cross-contamination risk for customers with allergies. read more

Finally--an actually legit New York-bagel in SF . As someone who's had the classics from Apollo, Baz, and Russ & Daughters in NYC, I don't say that lightly. Growing up on the east coast, I am pretty picky when it comes to bagels. I've tried nearly every single bagel spot in the bay area trying to get that taste of home, and I gotta say - Bagel Daddy is by far and away the best. I loveeeee the texture of the bagels. They're chewy and have a great crust, and the actual bagel itself is a lovely combination of somehow airy and hefty. I'm in love. They have an amazing selection of cream cheeses. They've got the classic, but like the wasabi lox cream cheese, r u kidding me?! Insane. read more

I was excited to try this bagel shop for the first time on 05-19-2026 at around 7:20 am, but my excitement was short lived. as soon as I arrived i wasn't greeted and no one assisted me in saying we'll be right with you, welcome in not a word. There was only one customer waiting for her order and another patron walked a vendor he had a box and walked to the back he was greeted immediately there was three employees working. I waited patiently but none of the staff attempted to help me with my order just stared my way and continued  to engage in conversation with one another. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone the customer service is poor and it made feel extremely uncomfortable after waiting for five minutes with assistance I just walked out. To the management of this facility please talk to your staff about customer service I could've been a great customer who would've told my co-workers about your new bagel shop please do better. thanks! read more
