Nice fresh bagels and good coffee. That's most of what they got but really what more do you need. Limited menu done well.

Great filling breakfast! Love that we were able to get a filling breakfast that early in the morning. We grabbed our bagel sandwiches and ate them on one of the benches outside. read more

I wasn't very impressed by the bagels, but they have a variety of flavored cream cheeses and don't charge extra for those. Coffee is also one size and pretty cheap. Also not great, but Lenox could do with a few more down to earth spots. On its own, the bagel place would get 3 stars, but this is really two businesses in one. There is a beer garden in the back that serves bar food at night. The beer selection is pretty good, the garden is a nice place to have a beer, and the prices are reasonable for Lenox. read more

Laid back, super casual, backyard vibe. A welcome low-key spot in Lenox with solid craft beer and great fries. This place is pretty good to grab a bagel. The shop itself is very small so if you are looking for somewhere to sit down there's a good chance the tables could be full (there's ~5 tables from what I saw). With that said, if it's nice weather, Lenox is a beautiful town and this place is perfect for a bagel to-go and picnic in a nearby park. The bagels themselves were good, I happened to get one after they were just freshly made, and they offered a variety of different sandwiches. I'm not really sure how the "brew" fits with place because again, it's small and I only saw 2 bar stools. Overall though, I'd recommend this place to grab a bagel. read more

Nice staff and parking available, but the bagels themselves were not good at all. They were very dry and hard. I would not recommend this place for bagels. And I don't know if it's a coincidence, but a truck was delivering frozen bagels while we were there. read more

One of the few places you can get a decent cappuchino here in the Berkshires. Their bagels are good too--fresh. Plenty of free parking, and they open fairly early, but you can expect to pay close to $10 for a nice coffee and a bagel and cream cheese. Have to say it's worth it. read more

A cozy spot. The bagels are delicious, although 3/4 the size of regular bagels. Had the Cajun bagel, since it was the most unique item on the menu & made a sandwich with it-quite good. They've some games & where's Waldo inside on the table. Only a few tables inside, so it's a great place to grab some breakfast & eat outside. Not a lot of parking outside, but some. We are regular customers here for both the bagels and the brew side of the business. I moved to Lenox right around the time this place opened. There are many coffee shops in town but I was shocked when some of them didn't open til 8. Who ever heard of such a thing? These guys open early for the working crowd. This is not a snooty upscale place. If that is what you expect, you will be disappointed. Instead, It's a very reasonably priced place in an otherwise very expensive tourist town. The menu is not very big but we have our staples we like (tacos, salad, sweet chili chicken tenders, chili) and the beer is always great. We always get bagels on the weekends too. They are not the chewy NY bagels (I have yet to find a true good NY style bagel in Berkshire county...so sad) but they are the right density for a bagel sandwich which they have many variations. During the off season they have taco Tuesday's and quiz night on Wednesday which draws a crowd. We go for early dinner and bring our kids before the adult crowd rolls in. The staff is super friendly as well. I am happy to have this place in our community. Oh and did I mention they have parking? That is a big deal in the summer months when the tourists roll in. read more

I had the best breakfast sandwich of my life this morning. I don't say that lightly - I eat a lot of breakfast sandwiches. While you rarely get a "bad" breakfast sandwich, it's hard to find a perfect one. Bagel & Brew's ham, egg & cheddar on a cajun bagel was outstanding. Perfect in every way. Hot, fresh, soft, delicious and not at all drippy. Couldn't have asked for more. Service was fast and friendly, and the place is spotless. My two year old had a blueberry bagel with Nutella. She has never been happier. I can't wait to try out their cream cheeses - they have a huge variety, many of which I've never seen before (buffalo, garlic, parm?! yes please). read more

If you're from NYC you won't like these bagels. The place is cute, nice staff, good muffins and selection of lunch sandwiches but the bagels lack that chewy bagel consistency you're looking for. They also don't use a good thick slab bacon but instead it seems like a microwaved version- very much like a Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwich uses. The bagels are almost exactly like that of DnD or any other chain, not an artisan bagel. Not sure what all the hype is about. read more

They got a nice sizable collection of bagel sandwiches for any time of day. Service was fast. Very casual and relaxed environment with some personality -- crappy books to read, old wooden ski in the walk, various bar coasters from all over on the road walls, plenty of parking outside. Weird hours though --7 to 1 pm. Fairly affordable. 8 bucks for a sandwich and coffee. A litttle cramped if it gets too busy. Coffee is straight forward, no fancy barista stuff. Only tried the beer side of this business. But will still try the bagel side soon. The beer list was surprising, and unfortunately the best part. We didn't care for the food which took too long to deliver to us. It was busy for a Tuesday night but still too long. The Thai spicy chicken tenders were almost inedible they were cooked too long. The potsticker edamame were the only thing that we remotely liked for food. Disappointed. Was hoping to eat here again but just the beer list in future. Sorry. 3 stars is for the beer. Some friends and I went there one evening for a few drinks and ended up having some food as well. Amazing Garlic Parmesan wings!!! We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the back patio area. Reasonably priced (for the area) and comfortable. We will definitely be returning. read more

This is the only place that has bagels like my home. I grew up in suburban NY where you didn't have to look hard to find a good bagel. Lenox definitely has a gem now that Bagel and Brew is there. The Lumberjack is out of this world (if you can look past the calorie intake)...it is a breakfast sandwich on a bagel topped with homemade bacon cream cheese! Great coffee. Nice people. I've had multiple different experiences when visiting there. My first one we had a great server and a few drinks. It is a little over priced and the food is bar food but it's a great place to go to when everything closes here early. The second time we went we had horrible service but still an okay experience. Sad, so sad... this once quirky little place boasted of the most amazingly good "bad" food! Incredible burgers, great wings, Ect... Then suddenly, they closed! For renovations, this one heard... after waiting close to 6 months (or was it longer?), a bunch of us went, hearing that they reopened! The same exact ambiance assured us that the food, perhaps, would be as well! WRONG! If you like bagels for dinner, do not hesitate to check it out, hurry on over! Their beer list is the same delightful adventure, but then it goes south real fast! Shitty food, crappy (née, none existent service), will keep some of us looking a little farther a field to replace what was a favorite place, and is now just another trap to snag the visitor's cash for the summer! This breakfast joint just extended their hours to now serve beer and wine, as well as a small but tasty bar menu, in and outdoors from 5pm-midnight. I'm thrilled to have a place like this in Lenox. Seating is comofrtable and surprisingly spacious for such a small storefront. The owner Phil also told me they're putting 3 picnic tables outside where one can sit with food, coffee, or a stronger drink. At first it was surprising to see the old bagel shop (though the owners of the former Berkshire Bagel moved on a year ago) open at 10 pm, because the longtime proprieters of Berkshire Bagel served fast breakfast and closed mid-day. But the interior and location are very well suited for n intimite or exciting nightlife scene. I foresee some popping summer nights in their immediate future. The bar menu included a delicious plate of turkey teriyaki meatballs with crunchy Asian noodles for $5, and an all beef frank with good fixings and chips for the same price. Also a charcuterie platter and pretzels with dipping sauces ($4!). read more

The breakfast bagel sandwiches are pretty skimpy on the fillings. The Pastrami one had 3 thin slices of pastrami so it ended up just tasting like the Cajun bagel it was on. I gotta say that the Cajun bagel was delicious though! The Lumberjack was also skimpy and fairly bland. The Buffalo sandwich was our favorite since it delivered on the flavor and fillings. For a bit over $20, not impressed. If the sandwiches came loaded, I'd probably change my mind. read more
