Jackfruit Biryani & Baby Corn Kebab
    Sashidhar R.

A Saturday night when you are craving Biryani despite having a biryani on Friday night and hence you don't want it be too spicy/masala-ish, this is the place to go! Cloud kitchen serving Donne Biryani only on Saturday's; you are supposed to order ahead during the week. looking at the crowd at pickup, I am pretty certain they will open a restaurant pretty soon. Hopefully they do, as it will become much more convenient to pickup. About the food: we ordered the Jackfruit Donne Biryani and Babycorn Kebab. It's a subtle yet flavor packed biryani. You won't find it spicy at all; I would prefer a nice salna gravy on the side to make it more exciting. They offer Curd Raita. Portion size is decent, you will feel content at the end of meal. Babycorn Kebab was quite delicious; would have preferred it be hot & crunchy however togo makes it moist. Taste remained intact. 4/5 to see if they are consistent. Tip: Do heat it up prior to eating- tastes better.

Take-out only, this is a cloud kitchen. Order online asap, things get sold out at 5pm for dinner on a Friday evening. We tried the Chicken Donne biryani and Bengaluru chilli chicken, both were good. Biryani quantity was less especially the chicken inside. Chilli chicken is different, chicken is super soft and separates from the bone easily. Must try once. There is no service or ambience to mention anything.

So conflicted with the rating. The biriyani was spot on and 5 stars, the chili chicken that I ordered on the other hand was the strangest chili chicken I've ever had, it was like a chicken with Mexican green sauce!? I hope they improve on the chili chicken recipe.

Highly Recommend!!!! Their Donne biryani really took me back to Bangalore, and their weekly specials featured a variety of Karnataka sub-cuisines. More appreciation thing is even their vegetarian options were delicious and hygienic. We had catering from them which went a great hit as their catering services also offer a wide range of vegetarian choices. Overall, Badoota exceeded my expectations and left me wanting more!

There was quite the hype about authentic karnataka food from one of my friends which is why I checked it out. The place provides only takeout option while you have to pre-order food to pick up on Saturday . Online ordering was pretty straightforward on their website. But pricier if you order delivery vs takeout Service during food pickup was pretty quick as well. They had the food packed and ready to go even though there were a lot of people who came for pickup. The mutton biryani was good and to my liking. Jackfruit biryani was probably a hit and miss.. if you like extra spicy chicken curry then chili chicken would be good option. It was a little spicy for me but that's fine. Parking was probably a little tricky but you can park on the street as Saturday evening the street was pretty empty

Cloud kitchen which offers pickup once a week and need to pre order to avoid sell off's. Online order and Pick up are easy. Got mutton donne and mysore nati pulav. Easily one of the best donne biryani's i ate , mutton cooked nice and tender and their raita deserves special mention. Mysore pulav is decent and may b a option if you want it less spicy. Hoping they offer more days to order and pickup in near future.

The chicken curry noodle soup had a really good flavor and it was very comforting and you can definitely taste the love in the soup. The cookie reminds me of like a Vietnamese version of a granola bar and it was simple yet pleasant. I also like the pate chaud but I wished it was a little bit more warmer and crispy but overall I cannot wait to come back and try their other dishes. Lots of seating available around the park near the food truck as well.

We ordered the banh mi, the curry noodle soup, the socola cookie and a vietnamese coffee to go. The coffee hit the spot for me, the perfect strength and sweetness. I feel like it's harder to find this good of balance these days. As I'm not a big fan of fudge type cookies, I didn't like the socola so much, but my partner did. The curry noodle soup was tasty, reminded me of a Cambodian or Burmese style coconut curry soup, and the chicken was very tender. The banh mi for me, while I understood what they were going for, did not hit for me as much. There was shredded chicken mixed with pickled peppers and I believe shallots. The bread was nice and toasty and crunchy, but the filling felt a little dry. Overall, the dishes were on the pricier side, but you could tell the ingredients were fresh and also how much love and care went into the dishes. On top of that, I appreciated that most of the containers they used were compostable. The owners were really nice and extremely friendly, and besides the road side seating, there were also a few concrete benches nearby as well. With the cool weather, it would have been a perfect day to eat outside and enjoy some sunshine.

I won't forget how there were tasty options around every corner in Tokyo. Ever since I went to Japan last year, I crave delicious yakitori from a charcoal grill in the Bay Area and always seek out new places to try. I finally tried Okibiyaki-Kikuchi as a yakitori pop-up at ShaKa brewing after eyeing it for a long time. The grilled meat skewers were so delicious and enjoyable to eat with a cold beer flight from ShaKa brewing. The chef is a master of yakitori. I tried hatsu, kalbi, shishito, kimo, and bara tama. I can describe a perfect night like this. A perfect night included skewers from the live ember grill by the master chef and a beer flight. The flavors are legit-- the process of preparing the meat is impressive, and the technique with the charcoal grill brings out the best flavors. The Bay Area is treated to authentic flavors like in Japan. It is recommended that should arrive to the pop-up early as they ran out of the chicken skewers. I will absolutely order the chicken skin and thigh again and again. I also tried his pop up at Clandestine Brewery as well. The quality is so consistent and delicious. I like the vibe of eating like in a picnic style outdoors with a cold glass of beer. Nothing beats that for me. Follow @okibiyaki_kikuchi on IG to see where he pops up next.

Then you got inside and immediately waited in one line to get your tickets and another to select your table...then as soon as you got in you waited in ANOTHER long line to order a drink. Definitely poor planning on part of the event organizers. That said...the event itself was AMAZING! The decor, the staff, the food was phenomenal. Everything on the menu was themed based on the show and the portions were huge, we left very full. The entertainment was fun. For anyone who is a huge Game of Thrones fan, this was an event to remember. We dressed in theme and had a blast taking pictures with the props. It seems the event organizers have some kinks to work out with the venue but I would definitely attend another themed event by them.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!…read more Here's the breakdown: ENTRANCE: lined up early to get the tables we wanted. Doors opened about an hour late. Many arrived there after work and didn't eat hoping to scarf down some good food, they were very disappointed. ALCOHOL: decent, pricey, comes with some memorabilia you can take home. If you ordered the pairing, you may or may not have the pairing in time with your meal. Cocktail hour was more than an hour, doors were still closed to the banquet room. Still starving. If you're not a drinker then you'll find yourself waiting/standing somewhere just people watching. FOOD: After over 2 hours you finally get a small appetizer. The butter on the table was apparently decoration for bread that will be served way later and cold. The food comes in slowly and cold. You can tell it was sitting out long. By the way, you share the small servings with other starving attendants who'll hopefully leave some good stuff on the platter for you. "SHOW": there was no show. There were people dressed up as characters, they recited random lines from the show and sometimes poorly. One "scene" did not connect with the previous one. It was literally "actors" saying 2-3 lines then getting off stage. They make for good pictures later though. SERVICE: order every drink you'll ever want at the beginning because it will take you that long to get your drink. Ask to pay the bill before everyone else does because it actually took an over an HOUR (no joke) to get the bill and pay it after we've eaten and asked for the bill. It was a 3-4 course meal and it took forever to get our food...FOREVER. I'm pregnant and had a headache because i was so hungry. I survived off preggy pops and water. DECORATIONS: like a high school Halloween party. Staff dressed up looked good though. OVERALL: good concept, poor execution. I enjoyed going with my family and having a shared experience of something we all enjoyed but we could've thrown a party of our own at home. Would not go again. 2 stars
