So good! My daughter was craving masala dosa for so long and we finally stopped to enjoy it together. We've spent a lot of time in India and she loves South Indian food. Even though dosas aren't my fave Indian food, these were delicious! It's a pickup order/takeout environment with places to seat and eat if you want. Our bellies are happy!

TLDR : Great food, quick service, limited places to sit Tried Surya Darshini Cafe based on a recommendation from a friend. Loved everything that we ordered. Tried the benne mysore masala and the set dosas with filter coffee. Such great dosas and even the korma was just awesome. Definitely must visit!

A go-to place for healthy and authentic South Indian food! The Benne Mysuru Masala Dosa is perfectly crispy, the Set Dosa and Idlis are soft and fluffy, and the Filter Coffee is smooth and flavorful. The batter is soaked, stone-ground, and naturally fermented, with no soda, additives, or coloring agents, making every bite wholesome and delicious. The café has cozy seating, perfect for a relaxed meal. Clean hygienic place and service is too good .Highly recommended for anyone looking for healthy, authentic South Indian flavors!

The dosa is very close to authentic bengaluru dosa, but the chutney and sambar are not that great. They taste like it's made from readymade packets. It looks like a warehouse on the inside and not very inviting. The cashier and server were very nice but it was overall too pricey, maybe because it's one of the few places that make this kind of dosa

Super excited to have found this unique South Indian Bangalore "Darshini" style dosa...been here recently to explore this unassuming tinted glassed location in midst of corporate buildings (near great mall). Tried their crispy Benne Butter masala dosa, kesari bath and my friend tried the Vegan set dosa. Very filling and tasty akin to home made style chutneys and sambar. The grainy semolina(Sooji) kesari was tasty and less ghee unlike many other places.. Plenty of parking and it's only take out hence served in to-go box. Large space to dine right there though to savour the hot piping dosa(can't do take out dosa for me). I really hope they would sometime in future set up a full service dining spot with delish crispy dosa like CTR, Vidyarthi Bhavan classic spots in Bangalore ifykyk

Authentic Bangalore-style dosas -- crispy on the outside and soft inside, especially the Benne Masala Dosa and Mysuru variants. Owners and staff are often described as welcoming and passionate about the cuisine.

We loved the food. We ordered Benne Dosas, which were outstanding. The idlis were cloud-like fluffy and yummy as well. The ambiance is very nice and the place is spacious with options of sitting indoors or outdoors. The food is made without additives or preservatives. The family has perfected the dosa recipe with over 20 years of research and passion - it is very authentic Bengaluru style. Very clean place and kitchen, which was visible. The service was outstanding, and with smiles. Loved the food. Told so many of my friends. Will definitely go there again. Their tagline is Art of Dosa, and I can truly say Dosa made with heArt.

It's located in an office complex kinda hard to find and looks like they are in the midst of remodeling inside but the dosa is legit. Thick buttery dosa with a non spicy chutney, sambar and masala. They also have a good filter coffee.

My go to place for Bangalore style dosa. Very consistent with quality and always full of flavor.

Came here for brunch after suggestion from a friend. From earlier pictures it showed as foodtruck but as of may 2024 they have moved into their own place. The seating is outside but doesn't have any seating inside. 4/5 butter masala Dosa - The dosa was big, a little oily but overall tasted well with the potato masala. The chutney was tasty and fresh and sambhar was decent. 5/5 Filter Coffee - this was freshly made and would recommend. 4/5 Khara buns - these are savory buns and bit hot due to pepper and onion in them and pair well with Indian chai. Overall a good place for hitting that dosa craving.

Well! This restaurant is not for everyone- but definitely awesome for people who love this particular thick and crispy style dosa- the Bangalore style dosa. If you've grown up eating this style, read no more, go try everything from this place, you won't regret it. It's authentic to an extent that my 3 stars would make some of their fans pretty sad. Also, maybe you're not too conscious about oil/ butter like me - you will LOVE it. So go try them out :) Anyway, here I am with my honest thoughts- They have a pre order system and we ordered a takeout for Saturday afternoon and the pickup experience was pretty easy - absolutely no wait. The dosa was pretty tasty and crispy. Loved the potato masala as well. But, there were a few things which put us off - it was too buttery and when I say too much, I felt like it was almost shallow fried. Me and my partner couldn't finish 1 dosa each coz it was too heavy for us. Also, the sambar was not even mildly hot- and too less in quantity (there are two little boxes in the takeout box, one had chutney and the other had sambar. I would expect at least a 4 ounce container of sambar. Also, probably we were the unlucky ones that one side of one of the dosas was almost burnt. This restaurant today is run end to end by a couple. I wish I could support them better. Recently, they've started serving more items like idli recently. They sell khara buns as well - we couldn't try it. They were super clean and added 1 fresh napkin in each box as well. Parking is easy and they have a good number of outdoor seating available outside the pickup area.

Ever since our last visit, we were craving some darshini food. So finally got the benne masale , kharabath and rava idli today for Saturday brunch. I am sorry to say I am disappointed. You can see how I raved about it in the past but today there were multiple issues: 1. Chutney is too sweet. I am from south blore so I know to expect and like slightly sweet chutney. This lacked any spice to counter the extreme sweetness. You might as well call it coconut payasam. Urgh. That spoilt the tastebuds. 2. Sambar was similarly lacking in flavor and too sweet. I don't care for Sambar with my dosa so I was glad to skip it. 3. Kharabath - too greasy. Taste was ok 4. Rava idli - the only saving grace. Could use a lot of coriander to give MTR vibes. 5. Last - dosa itself - lacked the porous texture . So so. Nothing to write home about. Was expecting potato saagu with the rava idli but got a veg saagu that usually is served with poori. It was ok. Very mild tasting. Overall I was pretty disappointed. Please fix the flavors ! Oil and ghee can't save this. TLDR: Speaking as a native south Bangalorean, if you are craving your darshini favorites don't miss this spot. Food: All the hype is for the masala dosa so we obviously got those. Honestly they used to be better at the truck. The fluff was missing. Tasted good though. Texture could be better. Lacked the porous nature of the best dosa. 4/5. The real stars however were the rava idlis and the kharabath. 5/5 for those. Some recommendations: slightly less sweet chutney, lots of coriander in the rava idli for the MTR vibes, We also picked up khara buns. They are not as soft as the ones from back home but tasted good. I made KBC with those at home. Slurp. Ambiance / : nothing to say. Spacious and self service spot. No one
