I think the food is different than what I am used to but in a good way, good variety! I am an adventurous eater so honestly, I don't even know what items came in the plate I ordered. I ordered a chicken platter/dish. It came with some rice and some sides. As for the sides, one of the sides definitely had a kick, it was spicy! I also received some "chips" on the side. Not sure what it was made out of but not the typical tortilla chips, it tasted different. I am also not sure if this is supposed to be eaten with the curry-like side or not but that's what I did. I mixed a lot of the sides together with the chicken. I enjoyed the dish quite a bit. I like the different and unique flavors, definitely very flavorful. Definitely, very good service, very nice and helpful. I felt like this food truck took longer than the other food trucks but I feel like the food here is more involved but it isn't significantly longer. Overall, good experience with the food and happy I got to try it!

Fish and Chips $15: You get 4 medium sized pieces, and I'd say a McDonald's small size of fries. So, decent amount but not particularly little or large. The fish thought I couldn't tell was raw or not. It tasted stiff so seemed cooked but the flesh was translucent, so by color it appears raw. Has the texture of recently frozen and defrosted meat. The surface was nicely crisp but there was more raw dough than cooked underneath. Overall fish wasn't great. Fries were good, and seasoned with some Indian seasoning. There was a hot sauce made from ground chili which was good. The Indian yellow sauce was far too watery. 3/10 2. Coconut juice $4: It was a 17oz can. I'd pass next time. Oh, and they were pretty slow. 20min to order. 15min to cook = 35min to get food. 2/5 #santaclara #indianfoodtruck #foodtruck #indianfood #indianfish #indiancuisine

WHAT AYCE Indian food from northern and southern India: chicken, fish, lamb, vegan, appetizers, desserts (plural!). Delicious! We tried stuff that we might never order in a regular Indian restaurant. COST $25 weekdays $28 weekends is VERY REASONABLE to me for a place that has no limit on what you can consume. We went on a Friday night, no time limit for us, but if they are super crowded I can see how they might put a time limit. FOOD 10/10 I wish I took a picture of the buffet line but I didn't want to be weird. There were so many choices, and several dessert items too, including soft serve ice cream, this place is a gem. Everything was awesome! They now have a breakfast buffet too, next time I'm back in the area I'd love to try that!

Like most Indian Buffets, they bring the Naan to your table, so it's fresh and this version was pretty good. They also brought Dosa (I hadn't had before) which was good at first, but I guess you have to eat it hot. The food wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either, kinda like the OG Sizzler. I had a couple of plates of food and nothing really stood out. They had about 10 different choices for food, some cold items, and some desserts. The setup seemed like they didn't really remodel the space for a buffet. I don't think I'd go back based on the price and the quality. But it was quick and easy which is what I was looking for.

I tend to agree but me being a foodie if course I have notes and all positive. This food, decor and service was unique, elegant, superior then any other Indian inspired food I have ever had! Worst Service Ever - Ruined a Birthday Dinner We visited…read moreCopra for my birthday based on a relative's recommendation. While the food itself was decent, the abysmal service completely ruined our evening. The Food: 4/5 The menu is designed for sharing. We ordered 5 dishes in total; 3 were genuinely good and 2 were just okay. The Service: 0/5 The experience was terrible from the start. When I asked our waiter for a cocktail recommendation, he dismissively replied, "It's whatever you like," offering zero actual suggestions. Because we had a late lunch, our party of three started by ordering 3 dishes. The waiter immediately seemed annoyed by this. I explained that we wanted to gauge the portion sizes first and would order more as we went. As we realized the plates were quite small, we ordered a fourth item, and later, a fifth. At that point, the waiter actually lectured us, claiming the kitchen doesn't like orders placed at different times and that everything must be ordered upfront. For a shared-plate menu, this made absolutely no sense. After that, his attitude grew worse, and he began aggressively tossing dishes onto our table. When an older gentleman (who seemed to be checking on tables) stopped by, I asked him if this "all at once" ordering rule was real. Shockingly, our waiter stood right next to us, intentionally eavesdropping on the conversation. To top it all off, after I left an 18% tip (which he absolutely did not deserve), he snatched the payment reader right out of my hand. Overall: We have never experienced such rude, hostile service in our lives. We will absolutely never return to Copra.

If the restaurant is busy I can understand that but when we ate - we were practically the only one there. So it wasn't the manpower problem - it is just a service problem. Coming to food. Pomfret was super good. Really well done. Briyani was a meh - I don't feel Bay Area has best briyani's anyways. I have had better Briyani in places like Seattle, Raleigh and Phoenix. The chicken 65 in Briyani though was pretty good - the typical Chennai style chicken 65 dyed with food colors . It was super nice of them to prepare filter coffee for us although it wasn't in the menu. Coffee was decent. The veg thali was also about okay. We were a party of 6 and the only diners here for the evening...so had an exclusive 3-1/2 hour dinner with the chef and 1 server. The food was delicious for all the senses (sight, smell and taste). Started with a clear, clean village salad consommé to awaken and cleanse the palate. Next the hokkaido scallops crundo & caviar...so smooth with a light coconut cream sauce, pickled kumquat topping. Then a delicious smoked trout and roe on a small brioche toast. Added a potato croquette with tuna as well. The next dish was amazing... an egg hopper, fried rice flour basket with a perfectly cooked sunny side egg. But the sides for inclusion were not to be denied...sticky, crispy chili-fenugreek topped potatoes; chicken curry; & sambols of onions and coconut. By this time, I'm full but still had the main and dessert! Not to be missed was the Australian lamb chop over dhal topped with fresh peas. The sides were amazing...kale malum, crispy blue lake beans, fresh tomatoes with black garlic preserved lime sauce, fresh carrot and onion pickles and basmati rice. The perfect finish was the white chocolate dome filled with a passion fruit mousse and fresh strawberries. A wonderful meal and great conversations! So happy to have discovered this spot!!!

As someone who does not enjoy smoked salmon or salmon roe, i could eat their version every day! The combo of sweet, smoky, and salty was euphoric! The chicken curry, hopper, sambal, and coconut were perfect in any combination! And the potatoes are my most favorite that I've ever had anywhere! The short rib was literally fall off the bone! We didn't need a knife to cut it apart. It was so rich and succulent. And each side was perfectly thought out. From the perfectly crispy cauliflower, to the refreshing pickles, and the most perfect kale salad. I love that each course had so many different ways that it could be enjoyed. So many flavor and texture combinations! The strawberry granita with dessert was so refreshing and worked so beautifully with the white chocolate and passion fruit dome. And who doesn't love a good Madeline?! I will definitely be going back! It's one of those meals that makes you never want to eat any other food again! Our meal will forever be one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

It was mostly self-service, I got my own water, hot milk tea, and utensils from the front station. Nothing special to mention about the service. 3. Food (3/5): - Chicken Biryani (2/5): This was my first time trying this dish. Personally, it lacked flavor, the rice was quite plain and there wasn't much chicken either. For $17, the portion felt small. The Indian spices had a strong aroma, but the overall taste was pretty bland. - Mango Lassi (4/5): I liked the mango flavor, it smelled good and wasn't too sweet. I was the newbie here and my friend has frequented this place a lot so I leaned on him for recommendations. In short, this is comfort food full of flavor though it might take a little time to get your food, it's all made fresh! L O C A T I O N Off of El Camino Real (I know that's not really descriptive as El Camino is VERY long) and Lawrence Expressway (now we're getting closer), in a shopping area with a Big Lots and 24 Hour Fitness. The plaza is called Lawrence Expressway Plaza. Lots of parking so easy to find one near the entrance. I N S I D E Fairly cozy with booths to sit in. There's also a few outdoor tables for seating if you'd want to eat al fresco. They have a water and tea station which is nice as well as serve your own plates and utensils. M E N U Fairly extensive with Tandoori dishes, curries, vegetarian faire, biryanis, naans, wraps...my head was dizzy from all the choices. But I went with the recommended Bangen Bhartha, Chicken Biryani, and a plain naan. ~ Bangen Bhartha ~ The description: a unique blend of eggplant, tomatoes, onions, cream and spices. And indeed it was. You can taste that they grilled the veggies which reminded me of a Filipino grilled eggplant dish. I love a good grilled eggplant and this went great with the plain naan we had. ~ Chicken Biryani ~ The description: Tender pieces of chicken cooked with basmati rice and spice flavoured sauce garnished with raita. That raita though....man I saved what I had after I finished that dish and used it on other food I had in the house. I love a yogurt sauce. It also complimented well with the chicken biryani. Again full of flavor but beware of stray chicken bones and hard pieces when chewing the rice. It is a bone in chicken that they cook which helps with the flavor of the dish not so much for your teeth. Also complimented well with the bangen bhartha. ~ Plain Naan ~ The naan was plain and I had to have the plain one as much as I'd love the garlic one as I do have garlic sensitivities. But it was crisp, chewy, sizeable and complimented our eggplant dish well. S E R V I C E Basically you order at the front, they give you a number. You sit down, they bring you the food, you get all your utensils and plates and drinks. Very bare bones in terms of service but kind of what I expected. Food did take some time but again I think that's due to them freshly cooking everything which can take some time. Then afterwards, you bring up your number and pay. Easily paid by credit card. O V E R A L L It was delicious. I would definitely come back to get everything I had again but I would probably venture into their tandooris or wraps to try it out. The menu's very extensive so grab a friend or two to be able to try out more stuff!
