Stopped in for happy hour but their happy hour is only 3-5! We arrived right at 5 and Barry was awesome and honored us with the happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drink! He was great company and you can tell he is good at what he does! The patio looks like it would be lovely to sit out there, once the weather warms up. I loved the monkey theme and the upstairs interior was fun and vibrant. They also have a gift shop! We didn't try any food but the food coming out looked and smelled great. I can't wait to come visit when it's warmer out!

Monkey punch and monkey bread

Come thirsty and hungry because they have lots of specialty drink and food options. Their service is friendly and always ready to recommend something for you. Very large food portions and if you go for breakfast try the monkey bread. Parking can be a bit tough.

Buffalo chicken cheesesteak with Parmesan truffle fries

If you're in ocean city you should try bad monkey at least once. It's got a full menu of your standard American fare: burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, salads and many more dishes. We've gone here a few times mainly for the quick service. We stopped because it was one of the few places opened with our late arrival. We were immediately sat and our servant was over a few seconds later. I wish I had gotten her name. She was great. Friendly and full of suggestions. It was pretty empty but we assumed because it was almost closing time. That made for a quiet dining experience. We ordered right away after scoping out the menu online. Fish tacos, wings and buffalo chicken cheesesteak with truffle fries. One thing to remember is portions are huge here. We could have ordered one entre to share between the three of us. Everything was average. The best part was the fries and the house made blue cheese dressing. While every dish was plentiful they weren't great. My husband's wings were chewy rather than crispy but the sauces were good. He had Thai and another flavor but I don't remember the name. My daughters fish tacos had plenty of fish and toppings but needed some seasoning. My buffalo chicken was chopped perfectly but had a ton of buffalo sauce that overpowered everything. We were a little disappointed because a previous visit was so much better. We got some bottles of monkey bacon hot sauce which is my husbands favorite so that made up for our meal. Overall a fair meal.

I wanted to like this place. It's a cool spot but imo overpriced and a little overhyped. That's a 4 egg omelette?

July 2025 | Served Cold Food Customer service - 4 out of 5 Wait time - 5 out of 5 Cleanliness - 4 out of 5 Atmosphere - 4 out of 5 Food quality - 2.5 out of 5 This was our first time at Bad Monkey, and sadly, it started cold. Food hit the table within three minutes of ordering, which only makes sense if it's prepped ahead of time. The manager confirmed this, admitting the heat lamps likely weren't working properly. My son's "chocolate chip pancakes" were plain pancakes served cold, with chips tossed on top. My wife's cream chipped beef over biscuits wasn't much better, room temp and stale. I passed on ordering an omelette and went with a parfait instead, hoping they couldn't mess that up. We've agreed: no breakfast here again. We'll give dinner a shot next year and hope for a turnaround.

Comfy, "feel like a regular" lounge/bar.

Vacations are a great opportunity for many things. One at the top of our list is the opportunity to try places to eat that we've never tried before. The name 'Bad Monkey' reminded me of a Carl Haaisan book and a tv show of that name, both of which I love. It's on the second floor and overlooks the busy main drag of OC. It's up a flight of stairs, or if you prefer or need to, you can take the elevator. We were seated immediately, and the attentive care began. Water came iced and our glasses were kept filled. A Caesar Salad for Meg, and a Cheeseburger with a side of fries for me. Both meals were exceĺlent. I'm against the huge burgers that have to be eaten with a knife and fork. I expressed my concern to our delightful server, and she delivered a regular size burger just the way I like it. Meg's Chardonnay and my Margarita were excellent. Pricing is in line with what one expects at a tourist town eatery, but we considered it fair and resonable considering the clleanliness, warm atmosphere, and top shelf service. Outdoor dining is available. In OC? I recommend Bad Monkey.

1 night in Ocean City Maryland in the winter. What to do? Crab cakes & football! There are a couple of nearby Bad Monkey restaurants - 1 was closed for renovations & the other was less than a mile away. The restaurant is the bar and from what we could tell - only open weekends in the winter. It's a nice airy place - lots of wood, high ceilings & interesting light fixtures. And there were 5 TV's with football on. I had an orange crush to drink. It was good, however, the ice wasn't crushed (orange crush =crushed ice, right?). There was a splash of sprite in it, but there should have been more. The crabcake sandwich was better than I expected (I'm no expert though). It comes with chips, and for an up charge you can get fries or onion rings. Service was very good - everyone was helpful. Good place to check out.

Bad monkey breakfast

The good food keeps us coming back! Love the environment. It's always busy on the weekends. This time we sat at the bar & the bartender was quick & attentive. Will be back!

Delicious breakfast tacos. The omelette was a huge portion. They are very busy in the morning for breakfast, but we got lucky and found two seats at the bar. The staff were super friendly.

Stopped by for breakfast and had a nice experience. The food was decently priced for Ocean City, and the menu had something for everyone--from classic eggs and bacon to more unique options. Service was average but friendly enough. The real star was the monkey bread--absolutely delicious and worth coming back for! Was able to sit outside and enjoy the weather while dining. There are also multiple dining areas as well.

I was highly satisfied with the food and our waiter was very kind. Shout out to Brad for an amazing service. Although it was busy we waited about five minutes for our table. The dining area was easy to talk, and many families were enjoying the evening. Good spot for families and great variety of choices on the menu.

I went here for breakfast. I created my omelet. It came with white toast and potatoes. I alo had a glass of mimosa. The food was good as well as the mimosa

I have not eaten one bad thing here and am convinced it is the best breakfast spot in town! The lobster benedict (often one of their specials) is tender, flavorful, and delicious; and their Captain Crunch french toast (one of their regular menu items) is amazing and doesn't even need the melba sauce it is served with on the side. I tried a bite of their corn pancake special, which was also very good, not overly sweet, and paired well with the mango salsa; and my mom had their Angel food cake French toast with berries and melba sauce, which she enjoyed very much. They also have a number of different mimosa selections. I had a pineapple mimosa the first time and a passionfruit one the second and both were equally delicious and again, not overly sweet. It gets very busy on the weekends but whenever we have had to wait, it was never longer than ten minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area as there is something for everyone and the food is consistently amazing!

Sharing with my wife was pointless ugh... should have listened to the waitress. The serving size is really large but the seafood did taste that well seasoned but the crepes was sweet and balanced. Really should have gotten something sweet. I really did love the decor. They did really go hard with the pink and strawberries but I completely loved it. Customer Service: Hands down the best we experienced during our 9-day family trip to OCMD. Karri, our waitress, made us feel like family, loved her. Jeff & Mike were professional, friendly, and made a point to engage with every table. Breakfast? PHENOMENAL. Best we've had, not just this summer, but in all our years visiting OCMD. My wife and son agree. Everything was homemade and cooked to order. No frozen shortcuts. Portions were just right, flavors balanced beautifully, and nothing overly sweet. Nashville Hot Stuffed French Toast: The bourbon and caramelized apples stole the show. Chicken was a fun twist, though next time I'd get it on the side to keep the sweet and spicy separate. You can skip the chicken altogether and save $4 if you'd like. Banana Foster French Toast: Mind-blowing. The kind of dish that makes you question everything you've ever called "breakfast." Plate was licked clean. Already dreaming of it for summer 2026. Creamed Chipped Beef over Biscuits: Shared this one. Generous portion, nostalgic flavor, clearly a recipe passed down and perfected. Triple Decker: My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, huge portion, perfect texture, and he loved every bite. Only minor con: straws come unwrapped in your drink. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Final score: 25/25. Solid A+. Verdict: Highly recommended. We'll be back in summer 2026, no question.

From blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, watermelons, apples, bananas, and others, all the fruits were fresh and perfectly ripe. The pancakes were very large and just one would have been more than enough for two people it seems but they even added berries for my son on them. The veggie hash had lots of potential. It was cooked well, however, lacked seasoning. It seemed slightly bland and I had to utilize ketchup to give it some identity. However, the quality and variety of veggies inside was great. Overall, I am giving four stars due to the fact that the prices are high, but the service and quality are worth it; especially for such a close location to the boardwalk.
