Food was really good, and came out quickly after it was ordered. The "carolina Style" bbq did not have coleslaw which is what I would assume it would have been with "Carolina Style" in the name. The bartender seemed to cater to the locals more attentively than tourists as well. The bar itself had a fun atmosphere.
Mixed review for Northside Pit & Pub. Very friendly service, good smoked wings (needed more sauce) and amazing collard greens. The brisket is really just pulled beef and nothing like brisket served in Texas. The Mac and cheese was okay but not creamy. Might go back to try their ribs but not sure.
Stopped in for a couple of drinks and had a great experience. While we didn't order food, everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in town!
Great establishment with friendly staff and patrons. Great food and reasonable drink prices and they have lots of TV's to catch the O's or the Ravens games as they are a Baltimore team bar. Had a great time here on opening day and the sea of orange and black being worn by the patrons. Definitely a go to spot.
Great spot, open year round and friendly towards locals and tourists alike. Food is always fresh, hot, and with huge portion sizes. Has a nice bar area as well if you want to watch sports.
It's the dead of winter, and the temps are frozen and frigid and we had cabin fever. So lets we get out for a meal. When Northside Pit and Pub ran an ad of all you can eat shrimp and ribs for $20 this was a perfect excuse to try this location. In the off-season this is the only pit and pub that is open. We were very warmly greeted and seated and we told them right away that we were only there for the shrimp and ribs so we didn't bother with the menu. Our server was Sam and she was fabulous. Sam was Warm and bubbly with a great personality. Not only that she was incredibly attentive. Having her as our server was at least 50% of the good experience we had there. The other 50% was the shrimp and the ribs. The first plate that they brought us was at least for me enough for the "all you can eat" price. I definitely got my $20 worth. My SO Did take advantage of the all you can eat by having two plates. So if you divide two people by three plates, what an incredible bargain this was. Even though it was winter I had a Sam's Cold Snap And my honey had a Yuengling served up frosty. Bargains don't matter if the food doesn't live up to the hype. The shrimp were large enough to not be "work". The ribs were "fall off the bone" tender and juicy with a sauce that was lightly brushed onto the ribs. We spent a lot of time down OC in the off-season so we will be back here again very soon.
Quick pickup/carryout order made through a Yelp recommendation - a new found GEM! Do you see those fries? Five Guys who?
Awesome place. Thought would be a big restaurant. Really small bar and grill. Not bad . Food was very good.
Amazing food. Just finished a pulled pork sandwich. Side cole slaw. Pork was perfect and addictive. Sweet and salty ( balanced) . Juicy. On a fresh firm roll that could stand up to the barbecue sauce. I like my slaw on the sandwich. I am a cole slaw snob. This passed muster with flying colors. Fresh. Sometimes places serve slaw that tastes and smells slightly rotten or chemical-ish in flavor. Not here. Server was the bartender. He greeted us when we came in. Got our order immediately. Brian was his name. Open for lunch on Mondays. Many places are closed. Husband had the cheeseburger. Juicy. Cooked to perfection. Same great roll. He loved it, but it was too big to finish. We will be back!
Walking in, we weren't really sure what to expect. The food smelled great, but my kiddo wasn't sold on the joint until she tried the nachos. The pulled pork we added was fantastic. I got the porker with onions and jalapeños on the side as the server let me know it was really spicy (and I'm not huge on onions). I'd probably go a different direction next time but that would just be my preference. The pork loin needed just a little more love and juice I think. Next time, I would just go straight nachos!
We recently discovered the Northside location, when a true local took us their first lunch. Don't expect anything fancy--but when you enter, you feel like you've been transported into an episode of Cheers. People love this place! Great comfort food. We get the pulled chicken wrap (great for carry out). It's cooked on a smoker--so you get a slightly smoked flavor. Everything on the menu looks great! The staff works super hard to make sure that you love your food!! Check it out. Good for dining in or carrying out, and there are two locations in Ocean City!
Decided to give pit & pub a try since it has a following at the beach. I have to say, I wasn't blown away, but I didn't hate it. I got the half chicken meal and it was just ok. The chicken was a little dry and everything was under seasoned in my opinion. However, the chili Mac app was amazing. It felt naughty eating it. If you're going for a cheat meal, that's what you get. Just drowning in cheese, crisp tater tots, and the hit of chili flavor. The mozzarella sticks were also different. Good, but not your typical kind of breading on it. It was a nice surprise. The one thing that I did LOVE about this restaurant was the service. Our server was so nice, very attentive to our orders, and when my kid had a fit about the fruit versus French fries, he brought out French fries like he was the struggling parent himself. Also worth honorable mention, I was dancing half the time throughout my meal. They had a really good 80 playlist going and really made it a fun vibe. read more

This place reminds me of traditional oc. If you know you know. A lot of wood inside and just feels homie. The service was fantastic. Our server kept checking on us and I appreciate that. The food....the chili Mac was amazing. It's something everyone should try. The mozz sticks? When I was a bouncer years and years ago the restaurant I worked at had the same ones. They are delish beer battered and everyone should order them. The brisket was just ok read more
On the late night early spring just getting into ocean city everything started to close around 9pm went to a few of our favorite spots and all kitchens closed so my fiancé Nikki called this place because we passed it and looked like the place was jumping and asked if the kitchen was open and they said absolutely! So we gave it a shot and man it was good, the brisket sandwich was cooked nicely, bread toasted to perfection it was just awesome. Love the feel of this bar it's a classic feel. We definitely will check this place out in the summer. read more

This place is exactly what it is supposed to be. Very friendly service, non-nonsense food and a casual atmosphere. The pulled pork is killer. We had it on the nachos and the portion of pork was generous. The smoke flavor is spot on and not over the top, if you know what I mean. It's delicious. I couldn't resist and had to order the "smoked" meatloaf. It is exactly what it sounds like. The meatloaf was moist and good on its own, and smother in lovely gravy. Then you cut into it and realize there is a smoke ring! And that little smoke hits you and it's a really cool dish! The sides were fine and not over complicated. Mac and cheese was solid and paired perfectly. Will do again! read more

I highly enjoyed my sandwich here and there wasn't really anyone in here because we went so late. Service was good and the food was good. My sandwich was freaking huge man! Little hole in the wall I wouldn't have ever expected to be as good as it was. Thanks! read more

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat after attending the Winterfest of Lights. I had the pork belly tacos. They were small but they pack a great flavor. They are an appetizer and nice to share. My wife had the old bay smoked wings. She said they loaded with flavor. Service was quick and pleasant. They have daily specials in the off season which is nice. read more

This year's Pit & Pub experience can be described in a single word: expectations. Our family arrived at this place expecting numerous families dining as the clock had already struck 5:45. However, we were pleasantly surprised that we were the only customers to inhabit the dining area. This led to a relatively peaceful experience until the restaurant became full of classic American families towards the latter half of our visit. Despite the waiter having to handle various clients in a full bar area, he still tended to our needs throughout the dining experience. We had expected the food to take much more time to come out but we were shocked that it came out in a mere quarter of an hour. I ordered the 1/2 BBQ chicken with a side of cornbread and mac & cheese. The BBQ chicken was some of the moistest and well-seasoned chicken I have ever had the pleasure of laying my little taste buds on. The mac & cheese was average, but don't get me wrong it was tasty. The corn bread seemed to take a step back from my previous visit, but it was still superior to most other corn breads. I also dipped into the ribs, and it tasted quite similar to the chicken. The grilled chicken on the Ceasar salad was phenomenal to be frank. Despite the dinner rush creating a slightly more chaotic environment later in the night, the tables are spread apart in a sufficient manner to allow for a pleasant experience for the customer. Additionally, when our waiter could not give us attention for a certain period of time due to other obligations, the backup waiter along with the lady in the back were able to meet our needs. Walking out, we were given a warm "Take care guys!" vocalized by the secondary waiter in the bar; this left us with a wonderful taste in our mouth if the food had not already satisfied that demand. I am not too sure how much this place can improve to get to a perfect 5/5 stars, but perhaps revamping some of their sides will maximize their long foreseen potential and lead them to triumph in the Business of Barbecue (BOB). read more

The southwestern chicken wrap was very good!! The BBQ sauce on the table was delicious. The beer was $3 during happy hour, and it was cold and tasted good. However, the chef salad was very small for $15 and I wouldn't order it again. Not enough meat or lettuce. read more

Went to ocean city with some friends for a day and after an exhausting drive we were starving and in need of some food and a good drink before going to our hotel. Let me just say, our server Rob was the absolute BEST! He really made eating here one of the highlights of our trip, the food was amazing and the drinks definitely loosened us up. I would drive the 4 hours it took us just to eat here again. I feel like we owe Rob a drink after making him go through the trouble of splitting our checks after we had ordered, but he didn't mind. Best believe I will be coming back in the summer! read more
