Smoked wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese
    Cari B.

Mixed review for Northside Pit & Pub. Very friendly service, good smoked wings (needed more sauce) and amazing collard greens. The brisket is really just pulled beef and nothing like brisket served in Texas. The Mac and cheese was okay but not creamy. Might go back to try their ribs but not sure.

Great establishment with friendly staff and patrons. Great food and reasonable drink prices and they have lots of TV's to catch the O's or the Ravens games as they are a Baltimore team bar. Had a great time here on opening day and the sea of orange and black being worn by the patrons. Definitely a go to spot.

Great spot, open year round and friendly towards locals and tourists alike. Food is always fresh, hot, and with huge portion sizes. Has a nice bar area as well if you want to watch sports.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks and had a great experience. While we didn't order food, everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in town!

It's the dead of winter, and the temps are frozen and frigid and we had cabin fever. So lets we get out for a meal. When Northside Pit and Pub ran an ad of all you can eat shrimp and ribs for $20 this was a perfect excuse to try this location. In the off-season this is the only pit and pub that is open. We were very warmly greeted and seated and we told them right away that we were only there for the shrimp and ribs so we didn't bother with the menu. Our server was Sam and she was fabulous. Sam was Warm and bubbly with a great personality. Not only that she was incredibly attentive. Having her as our server was at least 50% of the good experience we had there. The other 50% was the shrimp and the ribs. The first plate that they brought us was at least for me enough for the "all you can eat" price. I definitely got my $20 worth. My SO Did take advantage of the all you can eat by having two plates. So if you divide two people by three plates, what an incredible bargain this was. Even though it was winter I had a Sam's Cold Snap And my honey had a Yuengling served up frosty. Bargains don't matter if the food doesn't live up to the hype. The shrimp were large enough to not be "work". The ribs were "fall off the bone" tender and juicy with a sauce that was lightly brushed onto the ribs. We spent a lot of time down OC in the off-season so we will be back here again very soon.

Awesome place. Thought would be a big restaurant. Really small bar and grill. Not bad . Food was very good.

Amazing food. Just finished a pulled pork sandwich. Side cole slaw. Pork was perfect and addictive. Sweet and salty ( balanced) . Juicy. On a fresh firm roll that could stand up to the barbecue sauce. I like my slaw on the sandwich. I am a cole slaw snob. This passed muster with flying colors. Fresh. Sometimes places serve slaw that tastes and smells slightly rotten or chemical-ish in flavor. Not here. Server was the bartender. He greeted us when we came in. Got our order immediately. Brian was his name. Open for lunch on Mondays. Many places are closed. Husband had the cheeseburger. Juicy. Cooked to perfection. Same great roll. He loved it, but it was too big to finish. We will be back!

Quick pickup/carryout order made through a Yelp recommendation - a new found GEM! Do you see those fries? Five Guys who?

Nachos with pulled pork (jalapeños and sour cream on the side)
    Christy B.

Walking in, we weren't really sure what to expect. The food smelled great, but my kiddo wasn't sold on the joint until she tried the nachos. The pulled pork we added was fantastic. I got the porker with onions and jalapeños on the side as the server let me know it was really spicy (and I'm not huge on onions). I'd probably go a different direction next time but that would just be my preference. The pork loin needed just a little more love and juice I think. Next time, I would just go straight nachos!

Conveniently located off Coastal Highway in Ocean City.

We recently discovered the Northside location, when a true local took us their first lunch. Don't expect anything fancy--but when you enter, you feel like you've been transported into an episode of Cheers. People love this place! Great comfort food. We get the pulled chicken wrap (great for carry out). It's cooked on a smoker--so you get a slightly smoked flavor. Everything on the menu looks great! The staff works super hard to make sure that you love your food!! Check it out. Good for dining in or carrying out, and there are two locations in Ocean City!

Smoked meatloaf, Mac and cheese and cornbread.

This place is exactly what it is supposed to be. Very friendly service, non-nonsense food and a casual atmosphere. The pulled pork is killer. We had it on the nachos and the portion of pork was generous. The smoke flavor is spot on and not over the top, if you know what I mean. It's delicious. I couldn't resist and had to order the "smoked" meatloaf. It is exactly what it sounds like. The meatloaf was moist and good on its own, and smother in lovely gravy. Then you cut into it and realize there is a smoke ring! And that little smoke hits you and it's a really cool dish! The sides were fine and not over complicated. Mac and cheese was solid and paired perfectly. Will do again!

For the food, the brisket cheesesteak, chili, and chorizo mac and cheese were my favorites, they were very flavorful. However, I do wish the cheesesteak had some onions and peppers in it, if that was an option, then I would have definitely added some into my cheesesteak. The loaded grilled cheese had a lot more meat than cheese, and was very sweet which was a bit unexpected but it tasted good overall. The empanada was part of a restaurant attached to Annabelle's and taste-wise, the empanada was ok. I did enjoy this place a lot and would recommend stopping by while on a trip in OC!

We ate in the dining room which was 1/2 the Mexican restaurant and half the BBQ fare. The wait was much less than originally expected. We were seated and asked for our drink orders which were good My husband ordered the wings (very good) and brisket sandwich which was just meh, it arrived cold and lackluster, missing the expected flavor of BBQ brisket. The fries were good and the BBQ seasoning for fries was equally good. One daughter ordered a plain quesadilla and ate it but did not love it. The other ordered a mushroom quesadilla was very good but she did not really like the pork and cheese empanada. I tasted it and it was decent but way too greasy. The guacamole was very good (lots of oil in the bottom of the bowl) and the chips were crispy and very well seasoned. I ordered the carne asada special and it was delicious. Here's where the service went down hill. The carne asada did not need any sauce but I wanted to try the BbQ sauces on the table. The first one I tried, when I squeezed the bottle the entire top came off (it was not threaded and closed properly) and the whole bottle of sauce poured out over my entire meal. I took another tray from the quesadilla and moved my steak and rice to it. When the runner came over the clear the empty plates i told him, and advised the bottle needed to be refilled. He barely apologized and said he'd be back to fill the Bottle and took the sauce soaked plate. I then mentioned it to our server who simply said "sorry about that" We were looking forward to the twist ice cream but they were out of vanilla. So we left and went to another local creamery. We probably won't be back here if ever return to OC.

Luckily we got there a little early because the wait was not terrible, but they got considerably busier shortly thereafter. For starters, we ordered their warm pretzel with crab dip, and it was very good. We liked that the pretzel was already cut into pieces, and the crab dip was very tasty. For dinner, I got the French dip with the french fries. It was very tasty and certainly enough to eat. I also got a side of potato salad, which I wasn't quite as crazy about because it seemed to have a lot of dill in it or some other herb. Not bad, but not my favorite. Wife got the turkey and gravy over crinkle cut french fries. She had never had it this way, but said it was very good. We got chicken strips for my son with french fries and I ended up eating some of the chicken strips, which were also very good by the way. One of our friends got the roast beef sandwich, which looked incredibly tasty. We had no complaints about the food, the waiter was very attentive, and the wait was not very long. You seat yourself (which is somewhat confusing as there's no sign that states that so you end up hanging out at the door until staff tells you) and then someone takes your order. For being sk busy, the food came out in a good amount of time. Decided on the jalapeno poppers and rockfish bites to start. Both were solid appetizers. The poppers came out hot, so definitely wait a little before taking your first bite. Rockfish was good and seasoned well - didn't need the sauce that accompanied the app. For my entree, I had the rockfish tacos, which were delicious. The two tacos came with a generous portion of rockfish that was topped with slaw, sauce, etc. I added some hotsauce (grab at the bar yourself) for that extra kick. I also tried some of the steamed shrimp, which was really good. Pretty simple as it just had Old Bay, but who doesn't like Old Bay?! Washed my meal down with hard seltzer (can grab yourself up front). They also have a few beers on tap. Overall a solid spot for seafood while in Ocean City.
