This is a summertime destination as part of our Ocean City trip each year. I don't know whether we could call it a vacation without the crabcakes at the Jungle Bar. Lump crab meat, no filler, broiled to perfection. Ambience overlooking the ocean is wonderful. Staff is great. Jimmy and Lee are wonderful hosts. There is word that this may be the last season. It is SO hard to find- no signs, our driver dropped us off at the address, and we wandered around a few minutes and found our way inside, past the elevators, up the rear stairs, and onto the patio area. The best crab cakes we have ever had...consistently. And we were born and raised in Maryland and have sampled many crab cakes in and around Baltimore, Annapolis and DC. The service has always been friendly and great--but reservations for the inside restaurant are a must. Despite being a relaxed, beach setting, the atmosphere is always classy. This place had very bad service but I tried to be patient because it was busy and there was minimal servers. My table ordered shirley temples and they were very watered down and had no cherries. When the food finally came it was okay. My brother and I ordered fries and they weren't bad but they're nothing special. I wouldn't recommend going here especially if you don't prefer loud music. This place EATS! The sweet potato fries are majestic the whipped cream is unexpected but delicious with the fries. They have virgins of every drink and i can confidently say as someone sober its top notch! The waitress was very nice too! Super rude! Came in Friday night of a holiday weekend at 8pm and denied service . Said as rude as possible that they aren't taking any more tables when only one table out of a dozen had people at it. This review applies only to the outside restaurant. The burger here was mediocre. The bun had absolutely no structural integrity, which was shocking because it was incredibly hard. The burger patty itself was bland. The grilled onions were sparse. If you really want a burger, go across the street to liquid assets. That being said, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was excellent. It was super flavorful with a nice soft roll. It was hard to believe that these two sandwiches were made by the same kitchen. The service was great though. We decided to visit this place this year based on the Yelp reviews. I had the crab cake which was exceptional, and we sat at the bar and listened to the band. We called ahead and they told us to get there at 3 pm to get a seat, and they weren't kidding. The bar only seats about 20 people. And then there are maybe 10 picnic tables if you want to sit somewhere else. The signage coming into the property is almost non-existent and they don't tell you where to park; basically it's inside a condominium. All in all, we weren't impressed, and won't be back. We've been coming to the Plaza for years. The food from the outdoor grill is always good. They also have inside seating which I believe may only be for dinner (you need to call). Inside takes reservations. The outside has a large number of seats and about 20 seats around the bar. There's usually live music during happy hour which runs from 4 to 7 pm. read more

We have been stopping here for drinks year after year. Actually, each year we have had the same barista, Erika, and knowing that there's a familiar face here is always a plus. Erika is super nice, friendly, and very attentive. She provides an amazing service. We ordered nachos (super big portion and tons of toppings) as well as almost all the frozen drink options. All their drinks are seriously so yummy!
