Ocean View Brewing Co is an oasis of a restaurant in a small coastal adjacent town!…read more Right outside of Bethany Beach, Ocean View Brewing brings vacation flair to an otherwise complacent town of small, unassuming businesses. With a bright bold colors and stunning architecture, the restaurant stands out on the corner. A huge mural of Delaware beckons the local purity. Inside you are greeted by huge brewing equipment in a two story grand dining room, filled with happy families and bustling servers! We always order takeout and they graciously save close parking spots for carryout orders. The online ordering allows for easy modifications and simple ordering. We grabbed a smorgasbord of flavors and made the entire family happy. The Fried Chicken meal comes with famous Delaware chicken and some fun twists of Gochuchang sauce and honey butter rolls. The fried food traveled well and is expertly packaged. On their website, they advertise Beer Battered Shrimp - and by simply calling in, the manager was able to add an order to our meal! Simple entrees. Bold flavors. Definitely a place worth frequenting on your Bethany Beach vacations.

Great craft beer and a relaxing atmosphere! My family stays in Selbyville for our annual vacation…read moreevery June and usually venture up to the Indian River Inlet and down as far as Assateague Island. On a Thursday mid-afternoon we were on our way back to the house from the Indian River Inlet and were in the mood to relax with a beer. Luckily, Bethany Bay Brewing was right on our way home so we took a little detour. The parking lot was pretty empty but to our surprise it was rather crowded. The beertender, Mack, was right there to greet us. She was very nice and helpful, did a great job explaining their tap list, and even gave us recommendations for other local establishments to try out. She also gave us an opportunity to taste any beer before we ordered a pint which is much appreciated! My dad got an IPA while my mom and I got flights (5 pours for $15). I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, especially the Blueberry Blonde and Blood Orange IPA. I would have been happy ordering a full pour of any of the beers I had in my flight (I also had Riptide Double IPA, Dark Seas Chocolate Stout, and Birds Nest Lager). They also provide complementary popcorn to their guests which is a thoughtful gesture. They have seltzers, wines, and ciders available for any non-beer drinkers out there, and I did see a sign signifying discounts for veterans and cyclists! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular here. Next June I will definitely make it a point to stop in and have another flight of 5 beers I didn't try during this visit. We were very pleased with our short visit and were very happy we made the decision to stop in on our way home.

We were first here with our friends around 4 PM on Friday for happy hour at the bar. I enjoyed my two pineapple juice with vodka for $5 each. I also enjoyed my whole one pound steamed lobster with drawn butter and a choice of two sides for $30. I enjoyed my two favorite sides namely the asparagus and sweet potato fries. My total bill was $70. I redeemed my $25 Toast birthday credit to my bill so my net cost was reduced from $70 down to $45. I also applied my balance to my gift card from November 2024, excluding gratuity. I returned here again around 4 PM with my friend for happy hour on lobster Tuesday. I enjoyed my two rum and cokes for $5 each. I also enjoyed my two Big Oyster Midnight Kraken draft stout beers in a snifter also for $5 each. I also enjoyed my lobster tail jambalaya for $22, which I was able to finish this time, since the quantity was decreased due to inflation. My total bill was $41.50 excluding gratuity, which again I used my gift card. We agreed we will continue to return here for happy hour.

We decided to stop one evening for a late night dinner. I ordered the fish sandwich and my son ordered fish tacos. OMG...the fish was so good, it was fried to perfection, light, crispy, fresh, and flaky. It was extraordinarily good. My son also felt the same way. We both had nothing but good things to say about our meal. The waitress was also very kind...(sorry, I forgot her name). Overall the experience was great, I do recommend and I will be returning.

Jordyn absolutely made our night. She gets 5 STARS Mangos gets 2…read more Jordyn was friendly, attentive, funny, and somehow managed to keep a smile on her face while working in a dining room that was 85°. I know that because I saw the thermostat. At one point she was even helped us take our daughter to a cooler part of the restaurant because she was getting so uncomfortable. That's the kind of service you don't forget. Give Jordyn a raise--she earned it. As for the restaurant itself, the view of the boardwalk is beautiful, and the wings were surprisingly excellent. The tequila certainly helped. But this place is a 2 Star meal...pretty underwhelming, and the 85° dining room was just gross. That's an easy fix, though. Mango's has a great location and an employee who's worth her weight in gold. Fix the air conditioning, keep making those wings, and take care of Jordyn. She deserves five stars, even if the restaurant isn't there.

And they were well fed chickens ( thick and meaty). Coconut shrimp was good but slight over cooked .. good chipotle dip. Johnathan was a great server. All in all if you're on the beach or in the area this would be a good place for drinks and food.

We were here in March on a Sunday at 2 PM for happy hour at the bar with our friends. We were able to get 5 bar stools in a row. The bar area is relatively unchanged except for some new paint, however the two adjacent dining areas to the left and right of the bar were totally renovated and painted white with a much cleaner and brighter appearance. I enjoyed my usual 2 rum punches for $10 each and my usual happy hour broiled blackened flounder fish sandwich with tomato, red onion, lettuce, french fries, cole slaw and tartar sauce for $12. I opted for their hot sauce on my flounder and french fries. Bartender Andrea F. served us very well as usual. Consistency is a character of this restaurant. My total bill was $77 excluding gratuity. We agreed we will continue to return here for happy hour.

The place was lively with the sound of the trivia game that was going on. Fortunately, we were seated in their dining area where things were a bit quieter. I ordered the fiery fingers (buffalo chicken tenders) and my son ordered the fried shrimp platter. Firstly, my chicken fingers, were literally the "best" I've ever had! No joke, they were fried with a light crispy breading and seasoned to perfection, not too hot, but just the right amount of spicy! My son enjoyed his shrimp and had nothing but good things to say about his meal - except for one little thing. He thought that for the price, they could have maybe added a couple more shrimp to the order (he had only eight). Other than that - Cottage Cafe is fantastic and five stars to the chef and staff! I will return and would recommend this place.
