I am very long overdue in posting something so you will have to tell me how and if you would like to add to the testimonials and I will also add something to review sites. I also did quite a bit of research on the products and companies and Backyard Leisure came through for very high marks. It was Backyard Leisure who helped direct us to Bullfrog Spa's and we could not be happier. First, Backyard Leisure was exceptional helpful (and still is) and professional. Second, when we had one service call for a broken LED light, the technician (Ray) from Hot Spa Repair was outstanding. He showed up when he indicated he would and was also exceptionally helpful. Ray also noticed that there were other LED lights that looked like they could be a problem so Ray, and I both contacted Bullfrog directly. Third, after contacting Bullfrog, the technician was also amazingly helpful and immediately sent out all new LED lights for the entire spa, and gave Ray the authorization to come back and replace all the lights (even though no others were leaking). All under warranty. So, satisfied, absolutely. I would recommend Backyard, Bullfrog and Hot Spa Repairs to anyone. read more

Very nice people who give you one on one service; they do not treat you like you are customer 68 or 'the guy who needs water testing over there in the red shirt' but as an individual....unlike the other pool place in Raleigh. When they are speaking about their products and services they are actually talking about their stuff NOT what the other guy does wrong / doesn't have / etc. Backyard Leisure installed a 30 foot above ground for me in April (weather was finally warm enough to swim in late May!). There was a minor problem I attribute to the pool shifting when the tanker truck(S) filled the pool (have a well and did not want to burn up the pump) causing a couple of the corners to kind of buckle at the bottom as I think they shifted slightly. Emailed Backyard Leisure a few photos and they were out the next day and corrected the issue even if they were booked a month out for installs. In my opinion it is not a problem that defines a company (heck mine might have been unpreventable) but how they respond and I feel that their response left nothing to be desired. read more

Getting our Vita Spa Envie from Backyard Leisure was a positive experience. David McKinney was our sales person and relatively new to sales at this company but he received lots of support from the manager and we were able to get a deal put together. I was told the lead time on getting a custom spa was 5-6 months and they were spot-on with that prediction. The tub delivery was scheduled and they had to get into a really skinny back-yard situation but handled that with a crazy 4 wheeled contraption on which the tub was loaded sideways. Looked precarious but the 4 delivery guys did it very quickly without issues. My electrician came 2 days later had wired it in. Everything started normally. The factory failed to install the wi-fi module and Backyard Leisure ordered the part and will be installing later in the month, since they have done everything else they promised, I am assuming this won't be an issue. My husband and I needed to wait a bit before purchasing our spa. We checked out other places, that sell spas and I can tell you, once we are ready to buy, this is the store we are going back to. The customer service, the selection, the great prices and the ZERO push to sell, was like no other. When we walked out, after getting all of our questions answered, I was a bit surprised not to see them run after you, out the door, like a lot of sales people will do, to make the sale. They did not, they are 100% professional and they are secure enough in their sales and their track record that they know you will be back. We worked with Jamie and Chris Gainey. Both were so knowledge, you know they have been doing this for years! The prices were outstanding, and we are so disappointed we need to wait a bit longer, but we will be back! We went to Backyard Leisure mostly to get information about both spas and pools.Our salesman, Chris G., was so helpful and tolerant of all our many questions. We ultimately decided on an above ground pool, and in no way was the sale pressure-filled. The pool was scheduled for instal 6-8 weeks from purchase, but ended up being installed way ahead of schedule, with just 3 weeks between sale and delivery. Every person we worked with--Chris G, the yard leveler, the pool instal team--was so nice and friendly, easy to work with. The pool has been in the yard for a week now. We could not be more pleased. Every question we've had about set up and chemicals has been explained thoroughly. I can't think of a single thing in this whole process that wasn't easy. After moving to NC and buying our home in Youngsville, we eventually decided to have an above ground pool installed. After checking around at different pool locations, the only one who responded right away was Backyard Leisure, Raleigh location. We knew nothing about owning a pool, but were schooled thoroughly. After deciding on a salt water pool, they scheduled the grading, leveling, and then the installation. The crew to do all of the work were here on time and did an amazing job. As each season approached and we felt we needed to be refreshed on how to open or close the pool, plus how to maintain during our summer use, they were always so helpful. I bought my pool from them three years ago and I continue to travel to Raleigh for my water testing because they take the time to ensure I understand how/when/what to do with my chemicals. They work with my schedule as well since I travel - I can drop my water sample off and they will call and tell me the outcome. We got an above ground pool from these guy's And Jeff in the store was very helpful and knowledgeable of the pool we wanted,I like a salesman that's not hounding you and trying to get you to buy there product..We got the St.Martin, Paid our money down in Oct, Got a call from the grading guy yesterday and he was on time got his job done, Faster than what I thought he would do it in did a very good job on the grading,Got a call from the installers about 2 hours later, They were also on time,Austin and his guy's got right to it and finished in a timely manner..As far as the pool..Looks very good as far as durability TBD..But I would recommend these guy's for your pool needs..Price was good also.. read more

Been shopping around for above ground pools for awhile. Went by Backyard Leisure on a Sunday afternoon to check what they had. As soon as we walked in the store they where very welcoming and happy to help with any questions we had. We left there with some ideas of what we wanted but still wanted to shop around and see what other stores had. Went to about 3 other stores in the area. After a week we have decided Backyard Leisure had the best deals and warranty on there pools. Ended up with buying the St. Martin it took a little over two weeks to get installed the guys came out yesterday did a great job installing and having the pool filled today with water. Me and my husband went to a few different stores a few weekends ago looking to have an inground pool installed at our house. We knew roughly what size we wanted but didn't know the different materials used to build them. Backyard leisure was the only store that we went to that installed concrete, vinyl-liner, and fiberglass pools. Chris Scott was great! We have been coming to these guys for a long time to get our water tested. Always kind and helpful. When we moved and needed a new pool, we came to them for a hybrid pool and are extremely satisfied! We had really good service from Aaron at the time of purchase and the delivery and set up crew did a good job. Jason came back and repaired a few things for us. We bought a 18x33 Grand Bahama with perma salt and a maxx vita spa Prestige model and we couldn't be happier, Chris was very helpful as well when we returned to buy other supplies and gave us all the advice we needed to Winterize and reopen in the Spring.
