Companies of all different sizes, and although each was independently unique, the same stipulations applied, pool /spa installs were at least 12 months out and getting someone to sit down for a consult was around a month out. It was becoming very frustrating. We stumbled across Backyard Leisure and decided to give them a try. Don't judge the company by the area in which their Raleigh office is located, these guys are legit. Aaron Garner actually sat down with us on the spot and provided us with the information we were seeking. He answered all of our questions and provided us with much needed insight to help us plan our next move. On top of all that, the anticipated install was less than 12 months out. Aaron clearly knew what he was talking about and also helped us realize the best approach to our inground spa needs. Our pool install came first, Aaron was there throughout the entire process; he was more of a partner than a salesman and still is. They have some true talent working for them and with Alberto leading the pool install, he gained my trust and confidence within an hour of him being onsite the entire. He is an expert in his field. Our spa install came in second and again Aaron was there to ensure a smooth install. The highly skilled install team handled everything, they are extremely professional! They went out of their way to assess the work already by the very subpar concrete company and rectified immediate concerns. Paradise Pools says the 5 year guarantee that it came with will not be honored for the new owner. Have no way to contact manufacturer so don't know how I would claim service on the warranty if something happened while I owned it. Warranty is not clear. I wanted to sell it with the warranty. I'm still not happy that the warranty does not go with the pool but Paradise Pools has been very helpful and has given me more information about the manufacturer of the cover. Thanks for your help

We paid them in full back in April and they made all these promises about our semi-inground pool. It was supposed to be put into the slope in our backyard and we paid a lot of money for them to do this. When the pool was completed they left this big gap between the slope and the pool so they decided to build a retaining wall After a couple of months, they have made a big fat mess in our backyard and many promises have been broken. Employees show up only a few hours or not at all to work. They drag their feet on everything. They tried to put concrete against the pool to protect it from the slope and ended up having the pool slide forward. They got that fixed but man they beat on that pool wall so I hope it holds up. We tried calling, text, emailing several times with no response. Anastasia the manager of this job didn't have answers for us. Andy the GM called us and in the process he said that they never should have taken this job because they don't build retaining walls but they were not in it. The owner of Epic, Rich came and introduced himself as just an Epic employee. Tome this is very unprofessional from an owner of the company. It wasn't until one of the workers recognized him and called him by his name. He was rude trying to talk to me while they were running electric hammer breaking up the concrete. He looked at the mess in the back today and said they are done, this was the last day spend on this job. They broke up all the messed up concrete, spread it around and covered it with dirt to hide the mess.They aren't going to level the ground as promised. The gap is almost filled up but Steve the installer had told us he would also level everything, dig down 12 inches where the deck would go so the deck wouldn't have to do that but none of that is happening. He was rude and didn't seem to care if we weren't happy. I am trying to file a complaint with the bbb and my husband filed a complaint with the Greensboro news channel. BUYER BEWARE of Epic Hot Tubs and Swim Spas!! Once they have your money, they don't do the work. It took them 2 months to set up an above ground pool and destroy our backyard.

Yelp contacted us after we terminated Carolina Poolscapes contract. Carolina Poolscapes acts like they were unaware we were dissatisfied. We communicated this to one of the partners on several occasions. We have emails, text messages, photos/videos, security camera footage, and feedback from other contractors who repaired and completed the work of Carolina Poolscapes that confirms the rating we gave. The evidence shows Carolina Poolscapes did extensive damage to our lawn, landscaping, and irrigation, failed to repair them properly, left construction and personal debris strewn about (some of which they never removed), and we later discovered the pool work they did do was unsatisfactory. Our new contractor identified 4 new significant pool plaster delamination spots that Carolina Poolscapes missed, cut out cracks they failed to address, and installed 22 staples to the pool shell. Carolina Poolscapes told us no staples were necessary. We sincerely wish Carolina Poolscapes could witness the firms who repaired their work and completed the project. If they could, Carolina Poolscapes would understand the importance of showing up on time, working a full day, exercising care, doing things correctly, worksite cleanliness, having the necessary serviceable equipment and tools, positive teamwork, listening skills, and not constantly badgering the client for more money and invoicing progress payments before the work is complete. As for the bluestone work, it was done by a subcontractor and now Carolina Poolscapes wants to take credit. Finally, the contractor's partners did not get along, creating friction on the work site, and contributing to unnecessary project delays. We asked for two small changes that added 1-2 days. Weather may have delayed work by 4-5 days, but that is due to the work stretching to nearly 12 weeks (for a "4 week" project). Unlike Carolina Poolscapes, the new contractors issued warranties for their work. As for hiring one of their subcontractors, Carolina Poolscapes repeatedly failed to repair the irrigation system. We considered hiring one of their part-time subcontractors with irrigation skills to do the repair, but Carolina Poolscapes complained, ..., thereby costing the subcontractor income. Further misrepresentations by Carolina Poolscapes on this website or further interference with our contractors under false pretenses (Why did one of the partners call one of our new contractors representing himself as the contractor on our project after we terminated Carolina Poolscapes' contract?) will be viewed negatively and do nothing to change the facts on the ground.

In addition to the opening and closing cost. No thank you. They claim their travel charge is $75. My bill says $125. I had a issue last year with a leak. They refused to come out and told me to go to their store and purchase a patch kit and hire a handy man. They came out for maintenance while I was at work. Water was low. They turned on the faucet and left. I got home at night and the water had been going for hours. My pool was almost overflowing. I called. I was told they would make a gesture on my next bill. A whooping $10 off ! They rip off people. Shame on them. Terrible and extremely expensive company. Unfortunately only one out there for above ground pools.
