From the moment we started researching pool companies, I kept detailed and copious amounts of information. We eagerly watched a neighbor's pool install earlier this year and was quite surprised at how smooth everything went. It turned out beautifully. After polling my neighborhood where there are several in-ground pools for referrals I went to visit a locally owned and operated company right here in Fuquay Varina. So glad we did! From the moment I stepped in their office, I was treated with utmost respect, no pressure or sales tactics, a welcoming environment, and a plethora of patience and information. We even had a few laughs. No stress! After the initial visit, I returned with my husband. Cannot tell you the countless hours we asked questions, looked at different pools, got quotes and much more. We just knew we were at the right place. No further need to investigate anyone else's offers. (Some of the other companies spoke harshly about their competition and that was a huge turn off) My husband and I continued to ask many questions over a few months. When we saw the final product at our neighbors house, we knew that was going to be an easy choice. From then on the process was made simple and seamless. We agreed to terms, we signed contracts, got final quotes, we fully understood the magnitude of this project and the start date. Fortunately due to a cancellation from another client availability moved up by two weeks and we were asked if we wanted to take it. Our project officially started April 1 and I am pleased to say not only did Cool Pools in Fuquay Varina stay on plan they stayed on budget. We considered many upgrades and chose carefully. (We recently left a review about the subcontractors that did our travertine through the pool company) Our completion date was last week on the pool. We have final inspection tomorrow. Without any hesitation, happy to report that Cool Pools delivered! The staff there acknowledged our every inquiry along the way. They stayed on schedule and delivered a superior, beautiful welcoming oasis. The day the pool was hoisted over our home and put into the ground was the only scare we had. Who wouldn't be scared of a pool going over their house via a giant crane? Cherie and Dit Barbeau along with their incredible staff, including Holly and Eutin held our hands through the process and always were available. Having a pool installed is a huge endeavor. So many day-to-day decisions had to be made and careful planning was needed for every meticulous detail. Happily our project came out above and beyond our expectations. We had to add additional fencing to keep our dog out of the pool, so we wouldn't worry about her jumping in, especially during winter when she goes out to potty. From the first rendering they provided to what the final project looks like is spot on. They are by far the clear choice if you are considering a pool. These guys are a great family-owned company. We couldn't be happier with our pool. Because of Covid, we had to wait a bit to get the pool installed, but that was the case for all companies we called and Cool Pools clearly explain this from the beginning. We also had a good slope in our back and they shopped around and found us the best price for all the fill dirt needed. Even the extra we requested, that they brought in for us. They had the best price and service by far. Some of the other companies were pretty rude, to be honest, but Cool Pools answered all our questions and have come out to help us after the fact when we had new users mess-ups. While we were building our new house we reached out to Cool Pools to get a quote this winter so we could have a pool company lined up and ready to go for when we closed in the spring. They responded back via email and asked for our address which we didn't think anything of. Next thing we know we get a call from the builder (who still owned the property at this point) letting us know someone had come onto the property and spray painted a pool in the backyard and marked up all the gas lines etc. First of all we had NO idea someone was just going to come out and second they should never just come mark up a property without the owners permission to do so. The builder wasn't thrilled and yes it's just spray paint on grass but it was pretty wrong. The person I talked to was absurdly rude and keep trying to force the conversation and said " you don't have a warranty and I don't have to talk to you. Who does this? After researching the different types of pools available on the market today, I decided to go with a pre-fab fiberglass pool. What amazed me was the difference from pool contractor to pool contractor, in terms of price and also in terms of what was available and who would be the ones actually doing the work . In the end, I settled on Cool Pools due to the fact that all the work was pretty much done in-house and I would not have to deal with a bunch of subcontractors. Not only were they one of the most cost competitive, not the cheapest, but they also really did take the time to explain to me all the benefits and downside of owning a pre-fab fiberglass pool, as well as all the different options avaialble. This was extremely important to my wife and I because a pool is a rather large investment and helped us make an informed decision. From digging, to installation, to patio being complete and pool open it took 6 weeks, it would have been 4 if not for all the rain we had. I would like to share an experience we have had with cool pools to let you know how they treat their customers. They sold us a fiberglass shell and dropped it into the predug hole at our home, in doing so the straps that hold it twisted which caused the pool to drop suddenly which in turn caused cracks in the pool. We had to get it repaired through the manufacturer. To do this they had to empty the pool significantly of water. Cool pools agreed to refill the pool which they have not done. They half filled it, which is doing us no good. So obviously they do not stand behind their word!!!! I would never deal with them again and recommend that others don't either!! They do not care about their customers at all. read more
