A diagnostic, a quick repair, and a thorough test later, my pool is up any running in under an hour. I've been a customer for years, and they are always wonderful to work with, and a good value.

I've found Pool Scouts to be a mixed bag. Most of the time the pool person comes and cleans and…read moregets the water right chemically and I never see them. Fortunately, I work from home so it's easy to keep an eye out for them if there are any issues I need to discuss. They did try to use chemicals I had on the shelf rather than charging me for their chemicals, but because the pool people rotated it was a mixed bag on if they did that or not. Unfortunately, there have been many times when the pool has been cleaned but the skimmer basket not emptied. Or the pool was cleaned and the filter backwashed so much that the pool really needed extra water but the pool person didn't tell me so the pump is pulling a lot of air through the skimmer. They did replace the pump at a reasonable price but the job required two trips because they didn't seal the pipe properly the first time and they had to redo it. Then after they left and I turned the pump back on the pipe connection came apart and water started gushing everywhere in the pump house. Fortunately, the team was still in the driveway and was able to get it fixed -- and it has stayed fixed. After everything was done, they had left a bit of a mess from cutting PVC which I had to clean up. I will say the company is pretty good at trying to fix their mistakes. Technicians were sent back out or I was given credit on the next bill. But, it has gotten wearying to have to follow up every time so I'll probably be looking for a different service for next year.

I have had North State Pools service my pool for about 5 years. I had worked with another company…read more(Rising Sun Pools & Spas) for many years and their service declined to the point I needed a new service provider. I met Adam who came out to assess my service needs which were minor repair/maintenance and he he said he'd take care of it. Quick summary- he and his Team did what they said with every service request. Whereas the former company marked up the products they installed by 100% and added an install fee. That may be their business model, but, Adam advised me to purchase the products and he'd have his Team install them (saving an unreasonable markup in my opinion and their install required like three screws to be removed to replace a motherboard btw). As an example, NSP installed my replacement heater at a significant savings and it has performed well since being installed. Further, I have North State Pools open and close my pools for a few reasons. First, I like their guys. They are all really respectful of me, my property and time. As well, they take the time to explain what they are doing and why. When I have questions, they answer them or get back to me. They charge nominally more than my previous provider but they also provide the extra service of vacuuming my pool before closing which is huge when opening and you do not have all the algae and last year's leaves to contend with. I would also note that when issues arose (I.e. damage to the inflow covers where jets come in), Adam replaced them without question. I don't know if that is the case with all his customers but I know I had very contentious arguments with the owner of my previous service provider (and I saw MANY reviews/posts regarding that company in that regard related to that owner and company). Bottom line: I'd rather give Adam (North State Pools) my business than the big company who installed my pool and, in my opinion, lost my business after many years of loyal patronage because they forgot that good quality service meant something to me.

She's a great coach; kept me on track, always cheerful, positive, and motivating. This became something to look forward to, instead of dreading it, making it very helpful in meeting my goals. Membership here does require a long-term commitment and swimming around full team schedules. I like the personal feel of the gym; the lap pool is warm enough for me; and the outdoor area is GREAT for families. It's not a new facility, but the equipment is well maintained and there are a variety of exercise classes.
