Interestingly, my experience was different from several posters. I also drove to Raleigh from the Greensboro area as there are no Artesian/Marquis dealers in Greensboro. I had been shopping in the Greensboro area and unfortunately, really didn't feel comfortable with any of the dealers. I have a size limitation and really couldn't find many from those dealers that would fit. One dealer was working from a 2017 datasheet and none would pull panels to allow me to inspect construction. We entered the store and were promptly greeted. When I started asking detailed questions, I was then referred to one of the owners who was very honest with me and answered any and all questions. He pulled panels to show off the construction of the tubs and I found their pricing to be very fair. The other couple with me also had no difficulty with getting answers. I had a list of tubs that I wanted to look at and yes, a Master was on it. What we saw was some buried, cached page. The store does indeed, no longer sell Master and we were told that they had too many issues with them to keep selling them. My research also showed that Master tubs can be hit or miss and that support can be non existent, so I was happy that the staff was honest with me. We were able to sit in many tubs and made an appointment to wet test a couple. We ended up buying from them and should be able to take delivery in April as they had the exact tub we decided on coming in Mid March. With other manufacturers we looked at quoting 8-12 month deliveries, this was fantastic. read more

My wife called them everyday for two months just to get a screw and bolt package to put together our pool. Which is supposedly under 60 year warranty through manufacturer. The Spa and Pool outlet that sold us this product has (Done Nothing ) but say we ordered them. All they say is we're working on it, for the last two months. We had to cancel putting up our pool twice now because of their unwillingness to help and support their own products In a reasonable time frame. Now will cost us even more money due to rescheduling in peek season. They really dropped the ball on us. Hope everyone else gets better treatment than this. read more

RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! We had our Marquis hot tub and covana cover delivered from the Raleigh store (which they are now closing) in mid-February. I am sorry to say that we gave them a good review because after they left we realized the installation team damaged the $6000+ Covana cover and tried to hide it with some sticky foam. Never mentioned it to us and did not do any of the customer recovery a responsible company would have. We have been waiting since February 15th to find out if the new panel was coming. Just heard from them that they will be out on April 17th, but they are good at throwing dates out there that have no basis in reality. The manager never gets back to you personally and some underling relays messages or ignores us all together. Tub and cover are great but this dealership is a 2 thumbs down. This is our 3rd hot tub that we have bought in the last 20 years. The first was from Home Depot and their service was better than Spa and Pool Outlet!! That's a pretty sad statement. read more

First I'll just share the facts then my thoughts on the recent service provided. Earlier this week they came by to fix a leak. There is a small round port on the back of the pump that you connect a small hose to, that plastic port broke off. I already had the panel off and found the leak before the tech arrived. The tech was knowledgable and knew how to fix it right away. He was quick and at our house for a total of about 30 minutes; although he needed to drive to Home Depot (about 13 minutes away) to get a part so the total 30 minutes was broken up into two visits. Total cost about $160 in labor and $20 in parts. We asked if we could put some water in to test before he left but he couldn't wait. We filled it that day and the next day the water leaked out. Today, a few days later, I had time to look into it and one of the large round pipe connectors that the tech loosened was leaking. He had a very large pair of channel lock pliers he used that I don't have so I went to get a pair and tightened it myself and got the leak to stop. I called to let the service manager know and ask if they could offer a small refund since I had to buy a tool, spend my time fixing their mistake and was able to save them from the cost of returning and she said the only thing they are willing to do is a small discount on pool chemicals if we ever came in. I also took a video and offered to send it to them. OK, my thoughts... mistakes happen and that's not a big deal, he was in a rush which is not what you hope for but I understand they are trying to get as many jobs in as possible so although annoying not unreasonable. The cost was high for a 30 minute job or they charged me for the trip to Home Depot, not really sure why it was so high... maybe they always charge that much. The main reason I wouldn't go back to them if I can avoid it is you really know if a company is driven by profits or customer service when and issue happens and you seen how they respond. The fact that they had no interest at all in making their mistake right, never asked how much the tool was or willing to consider a small refund on what was a more than fair price paid for the work done is a clear indication of what drives the service manager and I would assume the company as a whole. I fixed it myself because it's a small fix and wanted to use the hot tub tonight and considering it took over a week for them to come the first time figured there's no way they would make it out the same day to correct their mistake. The buying experience and everything since has been very easy and I have always felt I could trust everybody there. 10/10 would buy from them again. We recently completed an exhaustive search for a new hot tub in the Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill area. The 2002 hot tub that had been in the house we bought had died a couple years ago, and we were ready for a new one. We researched national reviews on the internet, both about basic quality and performance, as well as customer service - both of the hot tub manufacturer and the dealerships we might be purchasing from. We visited multiple hot tub dealers on one day of intensive shopping, then returned a week later for wet tests at each one for the brand of hot tub each carried that we were seriously interested in. Our ideal hot tub would be sold to us by someone with a quality brand at an inexpensive price, who did their own delivery, installation, and service, who had an impeccable reputation for customer service. Of course, you immediately start running into trade-offs, the big one being price. When all was said and done, we finally decided on a Master spa Twilight series hot tub, one of the smaller ones. It had enough jets, a lot of power through them, comfortable seats, and what looks like solid construction. Let me say here that a wet test is indispensable to a hot tub purchase. Each place had a bathroom to change in, and welcomed wet tests. Spa & Pool Outlet is located in a warehouse-like building off 401S of Garner. It is the most unremarkable location and building of any of the places we visited, but who cares. The operator of Spa & Pool Outlet is a pleasant easy-going man who speaks frankly and directly. Cost estimates were available on demand, including base rates for each tub, and a total "out the door" cost including taxes. He was easy to negotiate with, and upfront about his pricing and what he is selling you. We have a rural house on a sloping lot (front to back, and left to right). The hot tub location is a screen porch on the rear side of the house opposite the gravel driveway and is 10' off the ground. We were informed that he would have to rent a special fork lift to be able to remove the old hot tub and put in a new one, and he quoted us a price on the extra expenses. All kinds of difficulties and complications then arose. Not the least was that when an actual fork lift was found that could be used in our location, it was $300 more than he had quoted us. And he did not charge us for the extra. And the ground was wet and soft and the fork lift tore huge rents in our back yard - it was so bad out there that they were almost not able to get up to the porch area. The operator, and his delivery and installation crew were excellent workers, and when finally they were done, they then spent an extra hour with borrowed shovels and rakes filling back in the ruts and trenches dug by the huge balloon wheels of the fork lift. With every complication or difficulty, the owner of Spa & Pool Outlet stepped up and demonstrated what good service is to us. By the time the hot tub was installed, and the old one taken away, I was already convinced that we had picked the right place, just by his attitude and all their hard work alone. The gentleman who helped us get the hot tub up and running is also the service technician, and was obviously comfortable with what he was doing. The hot tub came with steps, a cover and cover-butler, and starter chemicals and filters. We've been enjoying the new hot tub all this week and are very pleased with our decision. There are a lot of factors in selecting a new hot tub, and the internet is full of contradictory statements about what is better in nearly every regard, requiring more than a grain of salt when evaluating the data and the opinions. What mattered to us was getting a solid quality product from someone we expected to have a long term relationship with. That relationship is already off to a good start, and so we recommend Spa & Pool Outlet. As necessary I'll post updates to this review over time. read more

Spa & Pool Outlet is HORRIBLE PLACE! Drove all the way to south Raleigh from Greensboro to see two spas we were trying to decide upon because the website for this place states, and I quote, "The Spa & Pool Outlet is the Raleigh factory direct outlet for Master Spas" and not only did they not have a single Master spa on the floor (they had lots of other types, none with water in them to check jets) they priced out the spas $2000 higher than our local guy in Burlington.
