    I recently contacted Atlantic Spas and Billiards to inquire about having my pool table re-felted. I was put in contact with Dave and working with Dave every step of the way was an absolute pleasure!! He was friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and delivered outstanding customer service. He communicated with me effectively, and the guys arrived on time to do the job. The table looks absolutely amazing and I cannot thank Dave enough!

    We've had a pool table in storage for almost 2 years while waiting to find a house and move and the time was finally here. But we had a hard time finding someone to move it and to recover it because it is an older bar table with a single piece of slate. Anyway we finally found some guys to help move it and then we contacted Atlantic... from start to finish I was impressed with this business. First, when I called I talked to Lissa and she was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. She got all the details and called me back when she said she would (multiple times). The guys said they would do it and we were scheduled for today. They showed up on time, were very friendly and did a great job in no time at all. The new felt looks amazing, they leveled it, tested it, tightened up the rails, cleaned up and even left the extra felt and some chalk. Nice job all! Much appreciated!

    Their customer service hits the mark, and so do the darts they sold me.

    I purchased a set of darts from Atlantic Spas and Billiards which turned out to have a manufacturing flaw. When I brought them back, I was half expecting them to say there was nothing they could do about it, but I figured it was worth a try. I am happy to say that I couldn't have been more wrong. Despite the fact that this is one of the least expensive items they carry, the customer service they provided was as attentive as if I had purchased something for thousands. Not only did they hear me out, they came up with a solution that fixed the problem and did so with a friendly attitude. Even if their remedy hadn't worked they would still deserve a great review for even making the attempt. I highly recommend this business as they do things the right way.

Yes, we have power lines and a slope, but the salesman knew this when he assured us they had suitable delivery options. For 5 months, they blamed us, told us there was nothing they could do, and said it was completely on us - counter to what the salesman told us during the purchase. ORIGINAL POST: Epic Hot Tubs was an Epic Fail. Check the comments on their company on the Better Business Bureau website. It cost us 5 months, hundreds in legal fees, and tons of stress and coordination. They didn't deliver until we threatened a lawsuit. It was only supposed to take a few weeks, but it ook months. Jack Pyles was great until we paid our deposit. He went from telling us that installation would be "no problem" and they would "help coordinate" installation even with our sloped yard... to telling us it was our fault and on us that there were no viable ways to install the swimspa after spending tens of thousands of dollars. He never proactively communicated what was going on - only unhelpful and rude answers when we asked questions. He never even told us that the swimspa got delayed several weeks from the manufacturer to their warehouse. He told his boss that he had given us options but every option he gave us was untenable. For example, he told us to call forklift companies but none of them had operators and we couldn't find anyone that could help. It wasn't until we involved our lawyer and threatened a suit that they finally gave us a way to deliver the swimspa. The entire experience was stressful and unprofessional. Jack was especially rude.

This year he went off on a rant about a gas line near the pool filter, using expletives about the gas company and threatening us with big fees caused by the gas company piping for our new generator. When I complained to his office that I didn't like the time of his communication he simply sent me a text saying they were dropping us. This after 5-6 years as a customer and thousand of dollars in repairs and maintenance. He may be knowledgeable but his horrible attitude makes dealing with him a very unpleasant experience . I recommend you steer clear of him and his company. On a side note, Morgan in his office is a dream to work with. He needs to stay away from customers.

    We hired Pool Specialists Inc. and signed a contract with them, on Feb 25th, 2020, for replacing…read moreour Pool Liner. We paid Craig Wooster, the owner, a sum of $3911.70 (80% of the total amount due) on Feb 26th, 2020 at the time of signing a contract. The balance ($690.30) was paid after the services were completed. In addition, we also paid a separate charge of $250 for the water tanker. They installed the Liner after few reminders and few false promises to show up, sometime in mid-April. Usually, the life of the Pool Liner is minimum 5 Years. Within 6 months of replacing the liner, following things went wrong: 1. The liner lock, which goes along the edge, came off 70%. 2. The Liner itself has started to slide down from the wall along the edges. 3. The bottom drainage caps, which were replaced as part of the replacement process, were installed or placed too high - because of which, our robotic pool cleaner gets stuck and therefore is not able to clean the pool. (Please keep in mind, the same robotic (around $800 with Tax) was being used with the old drainage system and had no issues whatsoever. Please see the picture of the cleaner below. In August, when we reached out to the Pool Specialists and explained them the problems/issues of the work they completed - A.B. (The Administrative Assistant) asked us to send the pictures of the affected area/or the area with issues. We sent the pictures via email on September 23, 2020. Since we did not get any response, we decided to call late September/early October. A.B. and T (owner's girlfriend) promised to send someone on Monday October 5th, BUT NO ONE SHOWED UP. When we followed back, A.B. said that she will put a note to send someone on Wednesday Morning, October 7th. But again, like always, they did not show up around the specified time. D., an employee of Pool Specialist came early evening. When we showed him the issues we had with the pool, he said that the owner (C W) has asked not to touch or do anything, HE JUST LEFT AFTER LOOKING AT THE ISSUES. The whole incident made us so frustrated and it felt like a big headache dealing with the people of this company. When we reached out to A. B. and T over the phone regarding what is going on, they did say that they will convey the information to the owner. Today, October 12th, 2020 I called multiple times and left the message again at both of their extensions (i.e. extension 0 and extension 3) in the morning, but still have not heard anything from them. Yes, THEY WILL ALWAYS SPEAK TO YOU NICELY, but WE DID NOT PAY TO SPEAK NICE - WE PAID TO DO THE WORK PROPERLY. I mean, yes, they will do the service - but definitely with delays and after you reach a BOILING POINT and will not guarantee/warranty the work. Now I leave it to you to decide, if you still would like to use their service.

I had worked with another company…read more(Rising Sun Pools & Spas) for many years and their service declined to the point I needed a new service provider. I met Adam who came out to assess my service needs which were minor repair/maintenance and he he said he'd take care of it. Quick summary- he and his Team did what they said with every service request. Whereas the former company marked up the products they installed by 100% and added an install fee. That may be their business model, but, Adam advised me to purchase the products and he'd have his Team install them (saving an unreasonable markup in my opinion and their install required like three screws to be removed to replace a motherboard btw). As an example, NSP installed my replacement heater at a significant savings and it has performed well since being installed. Further, I have North State Pools open and close my pools for a few reasons. First, I like their guys. They are all really respectful of me, my property and time. As well, they take the time to explain what they are doing and why. When I have questions, they answer them or get back to me. They charge nominally more than my previous provider but they also provide the extra service of vacuuming my pool before closing which is huge when opening and you do not have all the algae and last year's leaves to contend with. I would also note that when issues arose (I.e. damage to the inflow covers where jets come in), Adam replaced them without question. I don't know if that is the case with all his customers but I know I had very contentious arguments with the owner of my previous service provider (and I saw MANY reviews/posts regarding that company in that regard related to that owner and company). Bottom line: I'd rather give Adam (North State Pools) my business than the big company who installed my pool and, in my opinion, lost my business after many years of loyal patronage because they forgot that good quality service meant something to me.

The bill of $361 is also far more than the $275 estimate.
